This is a reference for sure regarding the quality of the visual. This is really realistic, but when you go with that much realism, the smallest imperfection will catch the eye. With Illuvium, I think there is a really good balance with between realism and stylised graphics which might allow some imperfections without being obvious.

As with every other fix in Ethereum this will be a temporary one. Recently released London hard fork was supposed to fix gas price spikes. Yet, here we are at the all time highs after fees spiked 9x in a matter of minutes. There were other gas price fixes before and every time they established new records shortly after. You can increase block sizes all you want, but, as long as the ecosystem keeps growing, Ethereum will continue being clogged and the gas prices will continue being high and going higher. That's because, as I already said, Ethereum is a pile of unscalable garbage. And when the software solution is fundamentally broken it doesn't matter how many fixes you implement for it - it's a waste of time. It's easier to rewrite the whole thing from scratch than try to continue patching it. The end effect will be low and the result frustrating. That's not to mention that Ethereum developers had so far sucked at meeting deadlines. So, people expecting an imminent release of Ethereum 2.0 are kidding themselves. That's why I've said it before and I'll say it again: it may be too late for the Illuvium team to scrap their Ethereum integration, but they can at least work on a parallel track for integration of, let's say, Solana, so that when Ethereum goes completely off the rails - they have a backup plan.

At this point, it needs to be brought forward in a fleshed out formal proposal - critique can be useful, but at no point is the DAO making decisions or major changes based off people talking in #💬〕general.

Major changes to the way things operate are made (or not) by the DAO voting on proposals to change things. Switching from ETH to another network (or even developing for 2 blockchains at once) is a MAJOR change, and the only way it's gonna happen is by a proposal to do so.
