Yes, you will need gas fee on the ethereum blockchain once you've withdrawn off immutable. As for how much, that will vary depending on Gwei at the time.
You can 'pretend' to do the transaction and not finalise it to check the average gas it will cost, so you can deposit just enough if you choose too

You can pay fuel to go to higher stages. As soon as you step into stage 1, 2 or 3, then you unlock the chance to capture every single illuvial. Stage 0 is locked to only stage 0 illuvials

Currently we are in an interim between two seasons where tournaments and leaderboard structures are being set-up. Milestone based rewards for the airdrop will return for Airdrop season 3 but not in a major fashion.

For now, you are right that there is no reward for milestones, none at all. But you have ~a month to prepare for season three and you better be ready, as the rewards for tournaments and leaderboards may be top heavy 👀
So that is something to grind for! 🙂

Highly suggest you check out Illuvination YouTube channel. Paz is really great and has a like of great beginner videos. They're short like 10 minutes. Viper is great too and Scoriox. Just type in Illuvium tutorial

They also have tons of tips and tricks so it's really a great way to streamline your progress
