There's something i didn't understand in the leaderboards rewards article.
What happens to the smurf accounts? do they still "take a slot" for claimable rewards or are they just ignored from the list?
Like let's pretend i occupy ranks 1 2 and 3, i obviously only claim for 1st place and my smurfs would be ZeptyleX and ZeptyleY (so clearly identifiable).
Does the person who holds 4th place get the rewards for 4th place or for 2nd place?

So are these rewards going up at some point? I just can't see anyone paying money for Illuvials when all you can earn is 0.08 ILV (currently about $6) when you place in the top 1,000 players, and if people don't want Illuvials, that means they won't buy gas either. The rewards seem very, very low considering the entire economy is resting on people actually wanting those arena rewards. With the current reward structure it seems like something that will only benefits the top 10-20 players in the game.

I didn't ask anyone to increase rewards right now, what I said was are the rewards increasing when the game releases when we can actually farm Illuvials and gas? I stated the reason I'm asking this is because the entire ecosystem for the game is unsustainable with the current arena reward structure. Why would anyone buy the Illuvials at a reasonable price just so they can possibly make $6 in Illuvium Arena, and if nobody is buying Illuvials then nobody is going to be buying gas. The entire ecosystem is riding on players actually wanting to earn the rewards in Illuvium arena, and most people aren't going to feel like they have a realistic shot at placing in the top 50, so we need a way to get thousands of players wanting to buy the Illuvials in order for the ecosystem to work, only having a handful of the top players in the game wanting to buy them isn't enough to make the ecosystem work, the rewards will have to be substantially larger. So my question clearly has nothing to do with increasing rewards right now. There is no need to get emotional considering I thanked you for your attempted answer and simply asked if someone working for Illuvium and actually knows the plan to answer the question instead of speculating over it.

Here’s what the answer will likely be… it’s up to the DAO to decide. Changes to rewards would likely go through a governance proposal process. Or that the rewards structure could change based on the current needs.

I think leaderboard rewards can at some point include more rare items such as nft skins or emotes that could help increase the amount of activity. It doesn’t have to be all about the ILV token.

Maybe fuel could also be given as rewards and it wouldn’t cost them anything but it helps people out with doing overworld runs and crafting.

Also Disks wouldn’t cost anything to hand out as rewards.

There's some amount of potential for leaderboard rewards to be abused - The idea right now is to test the structure out, give players additional reasons to keep playing (this is good for DAU metrics and for testing for bugs), and identify any problem areas prior to Open Beta.

Increasing rewards makes more sense when our products are fully launched and generating revenue, because that revenue can offset rewards emissions.

Could the amount of rewards change when the game is launched? Absolutely. Could we find that using ILV for leaderboard rewards isn't desirable because there's too much potential for exploitation? Absolutely. It's possible that allocating rewards to tournaments or other structures will work better for the DAO.

What I don't agree with is the idea that the entire economy revolves around Arena rewards. People play games for more reasons than rewards, though those are certainly a factor for some people. People own assets in games right now with no expectation of being rewarded for having those assets, because they enjoy playing the game.

I've always said that we need more stuff to do in the OverWorld. "Filling" it up can take a lot of time and money and maybe even a bigger team, so it could be simple challenges like time trials on set parkours, or picture hunting (as in trying to find a specific spot in the world and snap an identical picture)

I realy engoy this game but i have one major problem with it. I can't play any of your games. For illuvium zero i have to spend 700 dollars to play right now (i know your working on the free version). But more inportantly i can't play illuvium arena witch i would love to play and would spend hours on. I can't play it becuse i have a normal computer that can run practicly every game but cant run illuvium. The only way to change the graphics settings is within the game itself and not before hand. My computer crashes when i try to open the game. This caused me to miss out on the cristmass emotes and many other opertunites. It also prevents me from playing a game that i love. I understand that we are still in beta but when this game is released, if people who can't spend thousands of dollars on a computer can't play illuvium then this game will fail. I have been told numerus times to just send a support ticit but i sent one 3 months ago with no responce, the problem isn't the support team it's the acsessability of the game itself. I love this game but wish i was able to interact with it. I even got the private beta for overworld but couldn't play that eather. These also cause me to not be able to create as ingadging content for my new illuvium channel. I can't play illuvium games so i can't make mutch content on them. The only game i can play is illuvium beyond in witch i love following the market and playing that game of maximising rewards. but as the name intails illuvium beyond is not ment to be the main game. I know you guys are all buissy but please try to make this game accessible before public beta

There’s nothing graphically taxing in the startup of the game. Even if the graphics were reduced it sounds like your computer wouldn’t run it for whatever reason. It could just need an updated driver. or it might need stronger hardware. I’m not really an expert in that.

I don't really know about beyond, but I've tried the arena and ow and it ain't my cuppa tea.

But when I tried OW and arena, it was on an old mining rig, using an AMD 3600 coupled with 3060ti, 16gb ram, nothing special and it ran fine at max settings.

The amount of hp lost is based on the cost of the illuvials (and ranger) that remain on the board after the round is over.

the number of damage is calculated by remaing illuvials on the board, so you lost 2 big rounds that's why you lost the game
