Honestly I’m a little worried that the exact nature of how the fuel pools will work is not exactly the way that I’ve been explaining for the past year+. Aaron mentioned that there’s been something like 10 iterations on how the fuel pools will technically work. The percentages regarding who owns or gets paid for what should be the same at least.

BIG WALL OF FUEL POOL TEXT #1:

There are not currently any AMMs operating on imx. But imx is expanding its capabilities to provide for the needs of its gaming partners. The plan is for the 3 different fuel tokens to be in a balancer style multi-asset pool along with ETH, all on IMX network. That’s the plan. Whether or not that will be ready by public beta launch is not yet seen. (Maybe polygon partnership can help make this more possible)

The flow planned for fuel tokens is for land owners to mint and immediately swap as part of the single process to get their fuel tokens out of the #🎮〕illuvium-zero game and onto the blockchain. It’s done this way to activate the DAOs tap of fuel tokens maintaining the proper landowner:DAO ratio (1:19). Then they either have the ETH they want or would have chosen to get fuel into their wallet for use, which would mean that eth was swapped back for fuel. Since all of this would happen in the same moments at the same valuation I don’t see how there would be any increased tax burden for the land owner.

The reality is there’s a lot of the precise technical aspects that might need tweaked to work at peak efficiency. But that is the plan. There are some community ideas about this being discussed in https://discord.com/channels/760344898200666112/1080380994667941888

There’s also the fact that the FUEL token prices will be variable. But within guardrails maintained by the DAO. Only up or down 25% from the predetermined happy middle price.

games like TFT are incredibly high on variance and dice roll like events in the game players have to adjust to, prepare for best odds going into those,
I believe ILV-PvP seems to be shaped in a way of having mainly random events in form of players having to make judgement calls acording to what they think the other guy will do or how they think a fight will play out, this is more similar to the direction of variance in e.g. a MOBA like League of legends

what you deem as a pro or con there will be rather personal, on a business case you can make various assumptions for short or longterm profits, likely you won´t find a strict better argument

But these assets can be sold to others and thereby you cóúld make some profits. It's just that others can out-bid you and bots could easily be programmed to also grind these free-assets until the operating costs aren't worth it anymore.

So, yes, you can potentially make some change with playing the free version, but any really valuable assets will probably cost you money to obtain.

I dont think graphics matter too much for IZ because it is practically gamified staking. When illuvium develops the RTS version, naturally this type of graphics would look better.

I think it doesnt matter what the graphics are for illuvium zero. But even so they already did a major improvement on what it looks like last year.
Illuvium zero is just a mini-game. The real value of it lies in the fact that you gain elements and fuel that you can trade on a "free" market. Investors who like to time the market dont actually care about the game. But they can play it to then gain assets to swingtrade.

Yes the graphics are similar to clash of clans, or clash royale. But the point of the game is to just get on there for 20 minutes a day, and play the market on-chain for 2 hours a day with the resources you obtain.

Why make a game with graphics similar to other games in the same genre when you have the option to stand out?
Conforming to one style of graphics just because "everyone else" does it isn't really a good route to go. And Illuvium is all about doing things their own way, not copying what others has done before.

I play ESO and I love 'the more realistic' graphics. I feel illuvium has hit the sweet spot in-between.
Also I think the illuvuals would look weird.

I'm actually happy they haven't gone down the hyper realistic style.

No the illuvals are incredible but they are far more polished than zero. It just does not seem to have that quality imo and I think a few others have also said so ...so I am not alone 😅
