I was wondering what kind of insights the user retention & session length data of private beta 2 has given for the autobattler

This is just my personal feelings, but I’ve really not been enjoying augments, I was absolutely hooked on private beta 1 because I loved all the Illuvials & team synergies between them, I loved the decision making process using monsters to fight and counter other monsters

With Augments I just find it less fun because half of my head space is then occupied thinking about cutting monsters to modify stat variance and base stats, I feel like it morphs and subtracts from the enjoyment of just playing around with all these incredible creatures

Again I understand some people may like Augments and special OP combos, but overall I’ve just found it substantially less enjoyable to play with

Yeah I agree, augments have made the game a lot less replayable. I think its mostly because of the random deck where you typically end up with one 'best' combo of Illuvial and Augment. It kinda forces you to play the one strategy that the random deck presents to you and has made the hyper countering system feel almost completely unimportant.

Governance:
Together, we have the power to shape the future of Illuvium through our community collaboration on game improvement proposals and electing the initial model of governance, the Illuvinati Council.

Liquidity Mining:
Here, you will gain more ILV (or sILV2). Additional ILV will increase your voting power in governance & increase your share of vault distributions.

Vault Distributions:
When you stake ILV, you share in Illuvium's success and earn a passive income of additional ILV, funded through in-game purchases and fees. Vault distributions will only be available from sales once the game and Illuvidex launch.

I agree with you in principle. The reason I’m here is I believe Web3 gaming is the gateway drug to decentralization. I think you could consider that most people don’t have a massive one time mindset shift and immediately change their behaviors in a high friction way. They take small steps and over time move. People didn’t start online banking in the late 1990s. They began with just browsing sinple info websites. After a few years they were comfortable with email and navigating. They eventually became comfortable inputting their own info into a website. And years later they moved to online banking. Consider other models like that as lasting adoption generally comes over a longer time window.

Currently, myself with the help of lead mods is generally how we handle these things. Council (excluding Kieran) are not technically part of the team. The role is semi-permanent yes depending, not sure how long you've been here but mod changes have been made several times.
Suggesting fixed terms for mods doesnt seem like a great idea to me at all. The mods that we have (or bring on) are very in touch with everything Illuvium and held accountable for such as well. Rotating mods wouldnt be ideal considering I think we have a very great synergy right now and have.

I agree with Rich. Might not be a good thing to (1) have council/community decide in who gets hired cause that can open up to other positions in the team; (2) fixed terms are limiting and enforces continuous changes in the mod team when you need consistency.

My suggestion would be allow a mechanism where the council/community has a say in removing moderators. We become the checks and balances and not centralized or policed by the same group that dictated if they stay or not.
