No minimum specs have been confirmed by the team just yet. Based on personal experience and some feedback from others, it seems the 960 and 970 graphics cards do face some issues as you progress into higher waves with more Illuvials on the battle board.

A 1050 graphics card may be a good "medium" point to run things smoothly but again, nothing confirmed by the team as this is still a private beta and changes/optimizations are likely going to be made as time goes on.

The idea here is that a release date is currently unknown. The previously announced official dates weren't possible (obviously) and therefore, don't refer to those dates as being a current estimate. But once a new date is known, the team will announce it in that announcements channel and that announcement would be the best thing we can go off of.

They did stick with their officially announced date for the land sale, so we can continue to hope and trust that the future dates will also be accurate.

Its not really that big of a deal, i understand the system. Just funny when you guys respond to speculation on dates with "check announcements for official dates" when we all know theres no accurate information there. Its the lack of information in the first place that leads to the speculation so back around we go.

While I sympathise with your frustration at missing deadlines (I also get frustrated too, but understand why it can happen) I would like to say that we're very close to a few big milestones. We DO keep internal dates, and push to hit them.

Sometimes though, things are more complex than we anticipate. We've got someone building out elements of Illuvitars and Arena 0.3.0 at the moment and sacrificing every weekend to do it.

You can see from leaks that there is a lot of progress going on every day. It might not be as much as you want, but it is required. For example, we have had someone for the last 4 weeks on optimisation of Arena assets. It is now merged and basically makes the game playable on mid level PCs no problem. It just takes time. And where we've gone slower because of some mistake, we don't do it again.

I believe most of the frustration stems from hearing deadlines / dates, and never getting an update on them. Kieran talked about opening up the internal deadline tool for the community to see progress and getting real time updates, before summer - has this been scrapped for no updates until 2 weeks before going live? Personally I like the dev updates - just wish they gave a little bit more insight into perceived dates. The: hope for pvp end of year suprised me a lot today. Thought the process would be faster, as the systems are in place (at least that’s what I understood from dev updates)

Well first off happy belated birthday!

For me its not the delays themselves I get frustrated with, its the communication around those delays. It often times feels like the community is left in the dark on where we are with progress because someone will say "we plan to have this released next month" but then 6 weeks roll by without any further communication.

I understand that delays are gonna be necessary sometimes to make sure everything is polished and with the quality of work you guys are putting out I dont mind waiting a bit.

Im very much looking forward to the arena updates though! Will the next patch include some more in depth balancing changes or are you still waiting for the full roster of illuvials for that?

The reason why you see dates from some companies a year out from release is because they are basically done and need to launch into a huge marketing campaign.

Effectively there is an artificial date that is long after it is ready internally (and then they just polish).

We usually launch stuff as soon after completion as possible so that you get your hands on it quickly. The downside of that is that we can’t give you a date that is perfectly accurate, or we give you a date that has a chance of being missed.

If anyone wanted to know the idea without reading it all basically it’s free-to-play IZ players can make an in-app purchase to buy a certain fuel or crystal in the game and add it to a special structure which causes plants in the area to grow.

The underlying asset of the fuel is ILV, adding it to the container is staking and the plants are revids. Plants are then harvested.

Timeline: A timeline is a visual that sequences chronological events with firm start and end dates."

We have a roadmap via the devblog as to the series of releases and its been clearly stated that the team will not give dates unless cleared by the council.

Question here is cant we get estimated timelines and not specific dates? Were almost 2 months away from 2023. And is it feasible that all those stated in the devblog would drop before years end?

I would be happy to know which are prioritized to drop this year and which are slated for Q1 of 2023.

Just my opinion, but I feel things have gone pretty well with the way we have been doing roadmap/timelines (and saying this even before I was internal). I think giving timelines in the context you’re asking for opens up the project to unnecessary pressure and FUD if even slight delays occur from what time lines we actually give.
One thing I try to reiterate every time the conversation comes up: these are real people, the team have families, they get sick etc. We know they are working hard, and we want to get these products in the hands of community. Just they take time obviously.

Being that in web 3 we have such transparency into the development team we all get excited and want wen to be now. Ultimately Aaron's DevBlogs are a great resource to understand where the game is at. Adding an estimated quarter the game or service or feature may be implemented I believe would satisfy most here.

Like Rich was saying, the actual Illuvials that you battle with in game won't be available until the game launches so it's fair for all players at the start.

The OpenSea Illuvium collection has promotional art NFTs as well as some emotes and skins for your drone, Moz4rt.
