Im australian, and we always seem a bit left out in terms of sports, games, events, all that sort of stuff, sometimes we dont even get servers for games so we play with bad ping and low pop, since illuvium is founded in australia by the aussie brothers, i can rest at peace knowing they will have aussie servers and local events for me, and plus its just cool that something im passionate about is birthed from my homeplace

I had no idea what I was doing - just bought whenever I could buy a unit and tried some of the special powers.

Today I attended the conference.
The conference as a whole was pretty shit.
Felt like most of the Booths were filled with Promo people who had no fuckn idea other than what was on the brochures they handed out.
And seriously how many Trading/Wallet apps do we need? Oh but ours has 8% interest! Pfft.

But illuvium, although not the biggest, was definitely a draw card for many! And THEY had staff who knew what they were talking about!! Like I was actually talking to the people building the project!!!

And it wasn't just the people familiar with ILV already that came to chat. I seen a lot of people who had never heard of Illuvium talking to the Team, trying out the game, asking about different aspects of both the Game and the Crypto side of it.

I seen 10yr old kids and 60 yr Olds sitting down to have a play. The oldies had a giggle, the young ones got competitive pretty quick!
was the best bullish sign for me regarding mainstream adoption.

Those people that sat and played, just wanted to play another and another and another.
THAT is what a GAME should be.

So yeah, my overall summary of today is "Illuvium FTW"

and ILV is just not it

You know whats funny? Everyone keeps on referencing Ready Platyer One as the standard for metaverse when people forget the fact that game in that movie/book is owned by one corporation. Meaning its under one IP. The rights to show those characters in that game would have meant it was made by their devs and not interoperable in a sense that you take the coding of one game and it gets transported to another game.

As he was getting his game on I explained the ILV ecosystem to his wife, tokens, land, openworld and she was getting into it, she had DeFi experience.
