The only way I see this happening is if illuvials are valuable and you can make money by pvp....the game costs about $30/day that's way more expensive than any normal game, players will be looking to make that money back some how otherwise it doesn't make sense to play the game

Ahh yeah, so "Illuvitars" would refer to the PFPs which you add accessories to. You'll get Illuvitars and accessories from buying the D1sks.

"Illuvials" are going to be what you find in-game and build your team with. Then you use the Illuvials in battles and/or trade them on the IlluviDEX with other players.... all while showing off your Illuvitar as your PFP 😛

There are so many factors that come into play during a match-up and Affinities are only 1 part. I do believe for beginners its a great chart to look at, but the pros will look at each individual match-up and have a better understanding of how to play

Got it. There is definitely a lot of factors to incorporate. It’d be cool if they scaled Planning Time once you reach certain Waves in Survival Mode

And do less planning time for waves 1-5

Yeah, I'm honestly not that into the survival mode. I need to pvp. And pvp will be drastically different. You wont have Illuvials in front of you so you can find the best match-ups. It's going to be more of coming up with your own strategy to confuse the opponent and working with synergies and abilities

Oh I completely agree. I think augments and check points will be great with PB2. I'll def hop back in to give those a try. We know now that this Illuvium team doesnt know anything except excellence. All aspects of the game will be fun. It's just a waiting game!

Considering stakers would have the predominant say in anything being changed. Personally, I’m all for giving more ownership and earning potential to the player as opposed to the staked just in terms of player to asset ownership and revenue generated from that asset the “player” holds

The gamers get the experience of playing the game, rewards for high tier players through ingame yield, and potential earnings from the NFTs they earn by playing through the P2P economy.

The tokenholders get a return for providing the funding for development and supporting the project by contributing to the DAO, They also will provide future capital for further development so that the game can be improved and new games can be developed for the gamers to enjoy.

Its certainly not an adversarial relationship, both parties are needed for the game to be a success and the success of either group benefits the other.

Kieran really wants an MMO but that is also the most time consuming genre of game to make. We are talking maybe 5+ years from now. We may beat SA to market with an Illuvium MMO

This actually works the opposite way as well. We could reduce all the ingame costs down to $0.01 but then with virtually no revenue coming in, the ILV token would go to near 0 which means there is no value to distribute for ingame yield or tournaments. The team would run out of development funding and be unable to raise funds so development would halt and eventually they would be unable to pay server fees.
In the meantime there would be no financial barrier to botting so malicious actors would drive the NFT values down to 0 ruining the point of the collection aspect of the game and taking away the opportunity for players to earn from the NFTs they gain through play.
Still the interests of gamers and investors are aligned.

Hmm, I dunno.
Increasing royaly could decrease the player's motivation to trade and result in a lower overall trade volume, bad for everyone.
Same idea with a fuel price increase where people could feel like they arent getting their money's worth and decide not to buy fuel.
The important thing will be to find the right balance that maximizes player engagement (while maintaining sufficient revenue for the DAO to function). Thats whats best for everyone.

Players will likely overlook that the biggest driver of value to their assets will be the release of additional Illuvium games. Limited supply of Illuvials with an increasing playerbase as more games are released and improved quality will drive quite a bit of value to the NFTs that players hold, in addition to giving them better products to enjoy.

Good rule of thumb would be not to buy things just because they are OP right now.
