Some of the skins will be be crafted through blueprints generated on land, other skins will just be sold directly from the DAO. Potentially a few earned through ingame rewards somehow too. I wouldnt be surprised if theres only a couple base ranger options to begin with though.

For people who are only motivated by making money they would probably be better off with a job than trying to earn a living off Illuvium. For those who want to play a fun game with the chance to make some money, Illuvium will be great.
I dont think there will be too much focus on making sure players get some kind of return because its just unsustainable. Theres no way to make a game where people extract more value from the system than is put in.

The plan at some point was to have a run take 30 minutes to an hour. So you should have the ability to go through all of your fuel within that period of time.

Well I don't think it should be from the game but from the players, like a free market. Someone who is super into PVP would probably pay to dollar for illuvials and earn by pvping against other players, collectors would probably focus on collecting illuvials to sell. I mean it's a delicate balance but I think when people pay thousands and aren't getting that money back somehow could be bad even for the game, why pay thousands and when you can just play web2.

No. Initial deposits made in v1 are able to be read by v2. You don’t need to withdraw them. They can stay listed as v1 but read by v2 and will keep earning.

While all true, it’s a substantial loss of revenue by not having it. Whatever the typical cost of a Overworld run is, $50 or whatever the most recent estimate was, there is MUCH less of an incentive to continue doing runs if it’s all “just for fun”. People will still spend money, but there comes a point where people stop spending money just for fun when it’s not tied to “advancing” apart from just more or higher ranked Illuvials. I understand it’s out of our control but it’s still a major bummer.

So it’s not possible for regular staking yield to infinitely deflate the token supply. Only claiming revdis would do that.
