Lands get slightly less stable revenue compared to ILV (as you say, we'd need a higher Marketcap for that to be similar)
BUT, lands get those blueprints, where a single blueprint can go for up to 5Eth or something crazy like that 🤷‍♂️so the unknown, occasional bursts of income make lands more interesting than ILV in their own way 🙂

Any amount of revenue added to land is revenue taken away from ILV stakers. I think it would be a very bad precedent to change the amount. It would likely end up being changed too often and reduce the certainty of value in land.

It absolutely will IMO. But i dont see that as a problem with the % of revenue going to land and stakers. I see it as a problem (or opportunity) with the current prices of those assets. It makes a lot more sense to let the values of ILV and land normalize to reflect how much revenue they pay out, rather than adjusting the amount of revenue to match the price of the assets.

I think the best way to drive more value to land would be adding more ‘land exclusive’ items into the next game. Like if in the next game there are spaceships maybe they can only be created by landowners. All lands could make spaceship parts that can be traded but only people with megacities can make the ‘spaceport’ structure that actually builds the ships.
This way we are creating new value for lands rather than just tapping value that already exists in the ecosystem.

The way I look at sILV2 spending is that it’s not ‘revenue’ it’s a clearing of outstanding liabilities. Each sILV2 represents value owed by the DAO to the sILV2 holder and when it’s spent that liability goes away.

My understanding is that you get "points" for trading assets, which is based on number of trades and amount paid for fees. Simply owning T4 land (if you obtained it during the land sale) isn't enough to qualify. There's also some stuff about 1/3 of tokens being distributed immediately and 2/3 being distributed over 6 months.

Regardless, the IMX discord would be a better place to ask if you want specifics on how their airdrop works.

The concepts on that slide are VERY important when it comes to Illuvium’s mainstream adoption. I’m bullish when I see that kind of grounded perspective behind Illuvium’s development.

FWIW, here is my individual perspective as a gamer and late investor:

I didn’t get interested until the land sale. I knew crypto, but I was not an early ILV staker. I believe that crypto, web3, and blockchain gaming (specifically, owning your assets), are the next big thing in this space. So, Illuvium appeared to have the necessary approach to achieve AAA quality and mainstream adoption.

I got hooked after reading the Medium posts and watching Andrew’s videos. So I invested 15 ETH in the land sale, started yield farming, and started following Illuvium news attentively. I am “in it” for the game, absolutely, but also so that I can learn from watching DAO activity firsthand, see the tokenomics at play, and participate in the success of a proper web3 game.

What aspects of Illuvium were key to making me a believer? The IMX integration, the support from GameStop NFT, the active community, and the frequent, open, honest updates from all members of the team.

There are many tokens accepted on the IlluviDEX and it really depends on which token the seller lists their land for. Most common will be ETH or IMX. But there are others on there too

If a megacity isn't your aim or isn't possible for you, then your land choices may be more geared to the scanning/researching of blueprints for skins. The blueprints will be based on the types of illuvials most commonly found in each of the regions

So if you really want skins that are based on Illuvials found in Taiga Boreal, you might want to get more Taiga Boreal land. But if you want a variety of skins, based on Illuvials from other regions too, you might want to look into buying land in other regions 🙂
