Im in 1042, so we are probably a year or more away from Doomsday - so i can't speak on that. However, VC's and WLKs with old states in our gold tier of WLK have been horrible. Either fighting a dead state with one 5 billion power player with 25k troop stats and 5 active players total OR im fighting 1036 or a 900 state with 60b+ alliance power

I am in a debate with someone in my alliance. They say that on a regular rally the heros of the other players that join you dont make a difference because they take on your stats. I say they do make a difference and that troops only take on a players stats during wlk when a tower is reinforced. Who's right?

Super rally / Super reinforce uses the rally leaders stats. If you do not super reinforce, individual stats come into play with some bizarre averaging of troop tier PNS math that is hard to calculate

So question about the Unit Tactics research section, do these help only when fighting players in Apex, WK, Etc? Or do they also help in lair's/zombies?

Are they worth the rss dump, or should I finish troop size 3 in the military section then focus on getting my HQ to lvl 31 for cores (currently at 28)

They are definitely worth having. But I'd definitely do your troop size first
