It's how the onboarding was setup. whatever the settings they did changed it so that anything within the server guide section isn't readily available on the list.

If you have the "show all channels" option selected it will still show the channels. ...for those who think that this will show all private channels.... it won't

But if you've setup your onboarding to only show specific channels, it won't show the ones that are within the server guide channel or any news channels unless you've manually changed your on onboarding.
