How I play the game

You can port back to your own territories

You just can’t do anything in a cut off territory. Like gather or attack

You can't move back to land #7, since I'll control Pass 1. You can leave Doom, but the game marks your HQ location in Sentry #6. So when you port back, it'll be to Sentry #6 - where you're "stuck". So the event is essentially over for you.

They can move back to 7, their safe area, or the place to the west of their safe.

You can not move in an area you are cut off in or adjacent areas not connected.

I would rate the lv.1 area as less important (and less points per territory than 2+, but still nice to hold this early on). Also, you can weaponize the fact that you can release and retake yellow circle spot to put up a shield if you really feel threatened. Lv.1 is easy to retake even with farms.

Iron Fort 2 is a decent spot and won't matter if you get cut off from behind.

The radiation survival system is a ridiculous mess.😡 You need to hit lairs to get the G-CSF, but you can't get stamina back fast enough to hit enough lairs for enough of it to keep yourself in the green protected status.🤨🔄 Limiting the daily Prussian blue you can receive from allies really isn't helping.👎🏻 You can't get the tools for the research to move ahead because you need more for every step in the same talent.👎🏻 Whatever dev team put this together needs to remember that many of the players can't shell out the cash💸 to just buy the stuff in the mall, just because the devs have plenty of money doesn't mean that the rest of us do.🙄 Raise the limit numbers! More than 10 G-CSF per rally and more than 50 Prussian blue helps per day!☹️

Faction points are based on the footholds you have. If you abandon a foothold, then what ever value of points it was worth will subtract from your total amount. Recapturing would make it the same amount.

Now, if you were at max footholds available to occupy, you could abandoned a lvl 1, then take a lvl 2 or higher foothold. This would allow you to gain points.

Yes this is correct. The safe zone remains the same area the entire event - whether it is the Faction Base or not, if you abandon it, etc.

Faction base can indeed be moved and can be attacked and lost. It's purpose is that any land that is attached to it, will count for your foothold faction points, and any land that isn't (such as the Iron Fort 2 & Iron Fort 5 shown in the picture) will not.

It wouldn't hurt! Just keep in mind, if someone took your Desolate Land 1, then the only footholds attached to your Faction Base would be Desolate Land 6 & 7, and none of your other territory would count, until it reconnected

It really is up to you. The biggest benefit to moving the Faction Base, is if you are moving away from the border, to take more territory inland, or further across the map. Why did they have to change the way we exited and entered doom? It used to be that you would port back to your state and when you ported back you were put in the safe zone. Now it ports us back to the last place we were. I was ported back into enemy territory. Even though I had put a shield on before porting it automatically dropped my shield when I landed. Even if we have to go back to the last place we were we shouldn't lose our shields. Is this some sort of mistake or on purpose?

Since this I my third time doing doom and I obviously have no clue about how it was always free to port back to your state. It only cost us to use direct ports to come to doom in the beta test. They fixed it by the second one and so as I said you could port to your state and it would port you to the safe zone. Then of course you had to use direct ports to go to other zones. And finally the POINT is they shouldn't be removing your shield when you port back.

This Doomsday is idiocracy simply because its absolut result of all intentionaly bad developements. To me people were saying that its ok if state has 5 full alliances arround the mud. But that is it, so thats why 18437429449257 States. So that every alliance gets 2 states. Now the event is done for 5 top alliances in the state. In our state people followed this smart suggestions, we have exact 148 active people. How do i comunicate with alliance Nr 3, 4 and 5 if there are no active Players? They are in 987, because the Developers cant stop making new states and start working on Quality.

It simply cant be that not 1 single player likes the event. Why the hell events like that have to bother people like that?

unfortunately they did away with the system which paired states with low numbers of participants together — without actually giving any warning that they were doing so — for this time around, (likely because it wasn’t a very popular system), and of course the result is that states with a low number of active participants are suffering more this time than they otherwise might have

I'm in what we are calling a small and young state, we can just take a level 2, we have another faction with 300 players over 1 billion might. All we can do is try to prepare for next time by getting hounds now. Also, we are learning how the event works.
