If on Nitrado Cluster, regenerate Cluster ID. I've had multiple people tell me this is what fixed it for them. Make sure you tell people that can access their tribute terminal to clear out uploads, otherwise they go bye-bye. Can also disable/enable CrossArk and then get a new Cluster ID. I've had both confirm work for other servers with same issue.
If that doesn't work, make a support ticket with Nitrado and beg/pray they allow you to wipe terminaldata. They seem to not want to do that for server owners and you have NO way of accessing those files, only they do.
Do you think this will fix my server not showing up for transfer? I have a cluster and a me of them isn’t showing up at all when I go to transfer
Unless the supply crates on LC just don’t work for that
There was an update and a current issue, so hard to say as far as troubleshooting rn.
Does LC have issues with Admin access? admin pass is set and should be fine but not activating when in map
anyone else running dedicated server on their LAN still having problems connecting? this is getting a bit frustrating.
fwiw, rcon is working, just nobody can connect on multiple different computers on the lan. nothing is really making sense so I think we'll just shelve it for the weekend. but terribly frustrated with it.
also, can't connect with the server running locally either.

Has anyone gotten the -allowicefox command line option to work? I still can't download my veilwyn from Astraeos to LC through the terminal.
Idk it’s all pretty foreign to me. But the way I understand it and best way to explain it is you’re basically renting someone else’s computer to do the “set up a server from my own PC” type of thing??? It’s like 1/10th the cost of nitrado to do it this way, just a lot more work and you have to be your own support (trouble shoot your own issues) because of the exclusivity deal with Nitrado, these VPSs services legally aren’t allowed to help with any coding or server set up issues, only issues revolving around the VPS itself. In short, nitrado are eggplants! Lol 😝
You know the YTer Nooblets? He has a “set up an ark ascended server using a VPS” guide that I used (you could watch it to get a jist of what I’m trying to do and see if there’s any way you could help, no biggie if not) but I’m still hitting snags and can’t figure out why.

My nitrado server is having mature speed issues when im not on they grow up fast but when I am on they grow up slow
Don't do destroy wild dinos and if, after that a server restart is needed. At least for the missing NPC and maybe also for the missions

Outposts are not spawning outside the city on our server in Lost Colony. Is this due to a setting or is it a bug?

i have the same question, didnt realize nitrado had set it to 0 after the 1st day and thats i couldnt find any since XD im just gonna do 5 for each, theres only a couple of us in the server anyways all in the same tribe, but if anyone finds out what the numbers are on official servers please reply thanks 😄
Can an experienced nitrado user explain to me if and how you can upload character dinos and items and change the map without purchasing another server subscription?

No, the upload is not affected when maps change, just don’t leave your stuff uploaded for long if you have not set the transmitter timer to indefinite..
You can have multiple characters uploaded
There is a setting in ini file that got disabled called maxoutpost there’s a few of them default for all is supposed to be 6

I move stuff between servers and singleplayer, as it’s upload is per acct, not per map
Keep in mind, your stuff on each map stays when you change maps so you can go back as long as you use the same character, otherwise your character will have to force claim your stuff to be able to use it

I travel my character to different maps and only bring the gear and dinos i want for that map, i build bases on each one

I’ve seen this issue as well: when you (or a mod) run “destroy wild dinos”, NPC spawning can break. After a server restart, NPC spawning usually works again.
I’m also not sure whether an automatic “destroy wild dinos” on startup needs to be disabled. Can you confirm this?
man... I wish I knew what was going on. everything was fine yesterday morning, now I can't get an ASA DC working at all. no idea what's going on anymore. I've tried fresh installs on my server PC, other SteamCMD servers are still working fine, it's not a network issue. I tried installing the DC fresh on my gaming pc (locally)... and I simply can't get past the connection failed window, which pops up almost immediately, and I've not seen an IP pop up in the DC console since the issues began.
Is was the Dino Wipe at Server Start. i Removed it and the Outpost startet spawnen. Now i must figure out with Setting it ist, that we cant harvest our R Seed Plants. Friendly fire setting for PVE ist on. No Clue which setting causes the problem
thats strange, maybe max dino cap is blocking the spawns ?
i use lethal decay plugin to auto wipe dinos on my cluster and it doesnt simply run destroy wild dino command it does remove dinos over time to avoid ram usage spikes when all dinos begin to respawn on entire cluster so i thought it might mess with patrols respawn. i will try to disable it on lost colony and see if its keep happening
I'm testing the ban function on my server, it worked. When I delete my input from the banlist, I'm still banned from the server.
Am I expected to have to restart the server after an unban? I don't need to when banning, so I can't imagine I'd need to when unbanning. 🤔

we posted a warning to all our players to not bring any coveted items to LC or their main character
also warning them not to transfer off the map with a character because it willl potentially freeze their inventory

Can I ask everyone here a question because I am having glitching crash issues. I keep laoding back in where I am glitched out and stuck in a wall/floor and trying to get my dinosaur out of the ground and when I tried to walk at least a few inches, my game crashes. WHy? THis is making me rage quit a lot

Happens every year, when they do a map release in December, we get a few quick patches to fix major bugs then get nothing as most are on vacation then get some updates to fix the smaller bugs in January
Well, I hope someone can fix the issues @lunar spear has been talking about. I sure don't want to wait until January to be able to play again. I have already deleted the game, and reinstalled without a fix. It's been two days now that I have not been able to play. I even created a new character on Aberration and it has the same issues as my main character which is on the Island.
Mostly only things that get fixed quickly are things that affect a lot of people on official servers

I will tell you that I own a Cluster and multiple players have the same issue as me. It does not matter if they are on PC or a console. Once they leave Lost Colony to another map, they are screwed and can no longer play on the cluster.
Maybe, I ask all the players on my cluster to put in a ticket? Think that will help?
It could help, specially if it's something happening on officials also, I'm not in general chans on this discord so not sure what issues official is still having

I'm having issues on a dedicated server where the veilwyn in companion mode is disappearing. It's just gone, whistle disappears too. Is there some way to bring it back? I think I have the dino id?

I can't get transfers to work in my Dedicated cluster:
I have already done the following to try and fix transfers:
- Cluster directory and ID: Confirmed correct and consistent.
- Permissions: All permissions needed for the task are given
- GameUserSettings.ini: All transfer-related settings are correct.
- Mods: Only validated mods are enabled, and you’ve tried a fresh download.
- No errors in logs: No mod load failures or permission errors.
- Survivor upload creates .arkprofile: Upload works, but download hangs.
- There are no custom cosmetics in use and still having issues
- A brand new cluster Directory and ID have been configured
Any other ideas? I can't log a ticket for help on the ark support page, looks like it has been closed to new requests since October

I don't know the ini code for the thralls yet, but the outpost settings seem to default to zero on nitrado.
nitrado prob set them all to 0 because of servers using 30+gb of ram when update first came out
Yea it’s weird, they were spawning just fine until one of the recent updates. Also had a mass over spawn of brontos (literally 500 of them on one lake). Dino wiped the brontos and since then no thralls
Are the servers all visible to join in the client's server search? For the transfers to work, the servers all need to be visible to the public internet and connecting to whatever server directory endpoint is used for this. For me, when this has broken in the past it's been because I had firewall rules on the host server or the router wrong.
Yes, they are. People can join the map, but when they choose a spawn point and click download survivor, it will sit there trying to download but visibly doing nothing. I then have to roll back the servers in order to get the player back on their original server

Normally you don't have to click 'download survivor'. They go to a terminal, click 'transfer to another server', select the server, hit upload, and then choose a spawn location. It should then spawn their character on the map. What is the flow you/they are seeing?
Does your server console window show a line like this at startup for ALL of the clustered servers?

My cluster is currently experiencing an issue where peoples charcters are poofing away, dinos poofing away, lots of graphic lag, severe lag when admin charcters rejoin out of uplaod
Has anybody been able to find any solutions, partial or otherwise, for the insanely high ping on Lost Colony servers? On Val prior to switching over it was on average anywhere from 40-70 at worst usually, but on LC it's roughly 100-120 at best and constantly spiking up to 180-220ish (sometimes higher).
does anyone know how to install lost colony on a dedicated server? It can't find the install when I try with the ID

we have the same issue. we first thought it might be mods but even with zero mods ping spikes to over 200
yeah same here even with no mods we get high af ping and a mini lag spike every 5 seconds or so

It appears to be the combo of the Lost Colony Map and Cyber Structures we have found after some major testing.
Even with:
- BRAND new server (clean download, no server/mod settings, etc.) with only CS - ranging from 100-300 (spiking)```
We have found that this does not affect any other map other than Lost Colony. We have reported this to CyberAngel (CS mod dev), and @zealous aurora it might be worth looking into on your end, too, since this is a significant issue affecting only Lost Colony and none of the other maps while using Cyber Structures.
These are self-hosted servers, on a dedicated server - not Nitrado.
I have spun up two test servers to prove the existence of this issue -

yes, the mutex is created and other servers can see it just fine
hmm i guess i never tested it with a purely clean install, only had removed the mod and tried it. hopefully theyre able to fix it soon.
I did see some reports in their Discord but wasn't sure if that was truly the culprit, or the sole culprit. Hopefully it can get fixed on both ends sometime soon because it's rough trying to play through such huge delays.

It's rough when I need instanteous timing to get out of Desmodus grabbings and I can't even through my bola because the lag won't take my input for like 4-5 seconds. xD

Struggling to get veilwyn to transfer to lost colony with the supplied command line. Tried as companion, as cryo in player inventory, uploaded outside and inside of the cryopod. There's no creature tab in the city tribute terminal to access it. Anyone know how to fix? This is the third time we've pulled the cluster down to figure it out

For the command line option for veilwyns is that something that can be added in nitrado dedi servers that are crossplay?
At the moment, the -allowicefox command-line option doesn't work when you have PreventDownloadDinos=True. It shows the Veilwyn in the creatures area and it's white/selectable vs greyed out and not selectable, but the button to download it doesn't show up. Looks like a classic bug.
You need to change the ini files.
The nitrado default is zero.

Have not noticed a change, but people have been doing all the non city ones tonight.
If it seems to be an issue I will change it to a much smaller number.
hello can someone help me download my Quetz onto lost colony ? i tried allowing foreign dino downloads and everything but for some reason but Quetz doesn't wanna download, the paw icon is glowing and everything it just doesn't spawn it just stays in the download list idk if it's a bug or what (fyi this is my unofficial server that i own)

There is no answer, sometimes we get it before patch notes are released other times we get it a few min after or hours or couple of days, and there has been time unofficial skips a patch or 2
there is a MaxOutpost setting, whichw as set to 0. The default was 6 and WC changed it recedntly

btw, no outpost spawned beside first launch. I'm thinking that the dino wipe at startup could be the cause (other similar issue is that doing a destroywilddinos cause the thrall not to respawn untill a server reboot).

I'm having the same problem. Missions in city are active (..purple pointer?), but outpost is reported as saw by 2 players only the first day (used to transfer to another map).
What’s everyone’s opinion on running the seasonal event mods all year ( only 1 per map but every event on at least one map).

You check the logs, have you checked to see if this is in gus ActiveMapMod=0 (was an issue in the past of making server stuck and not starting)

you lose the rewards doing that. I've done 8 outposts now and gets down to last 3 enemies and they no where. So time runs out and fails
You could check out the Better Horde Mod. Works wonders for those same issues on Extinction. I have not yet tested it on LC but supposedly it works on all similar types of events.
Question: I'm playing/running a two server Nitrado cluster to work through the story maps. Just cleared Scorched Earth and ready to move to Aberration...if I swap the map of the server that was hosting Scorched Earth, will that delete all the map info(structures/tames/etc)? Plan to have the Island/Aberration running now, but if a new player joins the group we might run them through SE again.

Take it from someone who has been running a server for Ark since 2015... Save often and make a folder of your save files. Use FileZilla and take out the map to your desktop or whereever and save that. It will be there when you go back to it but it is wonky as hell and I wouldn't trust shit.

got a local hosted cluster on a computer a friend owns. We have 3 or 4 maps with no issues of transfers or anything added lost colony and it is showing in the terminal to allow the transfer but when you do It will not let you spawn the character you transfered with it tries to make you create another character. All the settings between the servers are the exact same

Some of our players have crashes on extinction... Just outside the city, in the area 33/47.
Several players have already experienced this. When they log in again, these players are kicked out after a few seconds. Other players, on the other hand, can walk around there without any problems...

Blame the modders for not having their mods patched if you want to complain, it's not wildcards job to make sure every third party mods works. It's the modders.

After the Winter Wonderland mod update when my servers restarted all my servers in my cluster will not boot now and get stuck on loading the first mod I even moved my SavedArk directory to see if it was save file corruption and still doing the same thing

I run all my servers on a single physical server using Docker containers
I run all mine on a single server as well, absent the Docker layer.
We have 2 containers with our servers. We only updated one container. We're going to move the server files into the first container to see if that reverses the update and gets the maps running again.
I got a problem, I hope someone has some ideas... I have been running an ASA cluster since ASA came out, no problems... Windows servers, and the ClusterDirOverride was set to a shared folder on the first server in the cluster (all other servers using a mapped drive). This was working fine, character transfers all good. When Lost Colony came out I deleted the saves to reset the servers but kept everything else the same. Now, server transfers between different Windows servers fail, and erase the character. I can see the character file uploaded to the share, and all servers have access rights, but it can't be downloaded on other servers.
Did something change with ClusterDirOverride?
Nothing has changed that I know of. I was able to insert LC into our cluster using the same directive, but all my servers are on the same physical machine and I do not do CIFS/SMB or NFS shares for the cluster directory.
Yeah, I have 2 instances per Windows server, and on the first server, can transfer between them, but the other servers cannot transfer using the SMB drive
I think I'll try Syncthing to sync to local folders, but that's a real last resort

What I will say, however, that based on the roughly 10 years I've been hosting ARK servers, the transfer system is implemented terribly. There is no validation at all that happens during the process. Transfer is initiated, the server just dumps the data to the cluster location, and whatever happens happens.
It's been so unreliable for my clan that I have taken to backing up the .arkprofile files every five minutes and keeping about 2 weeks worth of the backups on hand for the moment when that does die.
I've had to get a bit creative with PowerShell. 😛

As far as I can tell, the server transfer basically takes the .arkprofile file and the shard out of the database that contains the player's character data and makes a single file of...junk out of it. It then dumps that file in the cluster directory and the destination server picks that up, inserts the character data back into the database, and then puts the .arkprofile file into the server save directory.
I might crack open one of those files and see if it's just the .arkprofile file
From what I can tell, outside of transfers, the .arkprofile file is basically just a pointer that ties someone's ID platform ID (Steam, Epic, Microsoft, Sony, etc..) to the character data inside the database.
I think it's got some other stuff in it, it changes size depending on how long the character is around/level etc
New players = very small .arkprofile
What usually ends up happening for us is that when a transfer goes bad, that person doesn't actually lose their character. Instead, their sleeping body is still on the source server, either at the terminal or obelisk or whatever.
This is the problem is that it's not happening that way for me

When they try to reconnect, the .arkprofile file is missing so they get told to create a new character. So what I do is i restore their .arkprofile from backup, put it back on the source server (or whichever server their body is on), and they're good.

Well, first they get told to pick where to spawn, but then it bounces back to character creation
So I guess at that point it's failing to download the file and dies
If their body is still on the source server, you can just recover their .arkprofile and put it back on the source and they should be fine.

Well, another standing rule we have is that you always make the jump naked. Everything you want to take with you is stored in the transmitter/obelisk's inventory and picked up again on the other side.

Yeah I have been running servers for a while, too, ASE was running on Linux with LinuxGSM, I used syncthing for the clusterdirs, worked surprisingly well
A small variance in version can be expected and work fine. You would likely get an error saying mismatch on join. If you get a version mismatch error on join, your only option is to wait until the server updates.

I am also having issues starting my servers this morning, also running on Linux using Pterodactyl panel. I have run this cluster for almost 2 years now with little to no issue, but today they just didn't start after a routine nightly reboot. It gets to where it tries to load the mods and just gets stuck. I even deleted the one it was stuck on in case that was the culprit but it just sticks on the next one.
Anyone else seeing this?
Okay! The problem is solved. I was using a mapped drive via an SMB share to connect to the ClusterDir. Wildcard changed something in the Lost Colony patch such that the process checking and downloading no longer exists in the same context as the user session running the main game process. The solution is to use mklink to create a symlink to the remote UNC path for the ClusterDir. The symlink is visible to all the processes and thus the files become visible.
Wonder what they changed I use a NFS share on Linux and didn't have that issue
NFS would have been mounted through fstab, so it wouldn't be specific to a user session... Windows problems

So I just confirmed that 77.34 is the problem with servers not booting and you need to revert back to 77.27 to get your servers to boot back up
I was never able to get steamcmd to work but I was able to use DepotDownloader tool and then transfer the files it downloaded to my server files directory to replace the bad files

I also use Pok on Ubuntu and was able to recover my servers by using DepotDownloader and replacing the files with what it downloaded

Our server owner didn't update proton, his workaround was:
"Servers now load the entire BinkMediaPlayer on startup, which Proton can't handle because XAudio2 isn't fully implemented. However, this can be easily disabled using DLLOverride, so the server then loads the videos without sound.

Can someone help? I’m running a Lost Colony server through Nitrado and can’t get any outposts to spawn. I’ve tried setting the settings to 10, 10, 5. Now I’m setting them to completely blank. I just can’t figure it out. I’ve flown around the map hundreds of times and nothing will spawn. I’ve not tried the city as I’m looking for the spawns outside of the city

Okay, in the general settings of your server, look for Harvest Amount Multiplier and see what it's set to. I can't remember how much you get if it's default, but if it's at 1, it is default and you want to raise it. I would suggest setting it to 3 and see how that feels ^^
has anyone else noticed after leveling thralls, come back later and they have original stats but their level is still higher

For harvesting, use larger numbers such as 5x but try to stay under 10.
Also be sure the server is fully stopped before changing settings.

I'm seeing some odd behavior with stasis.
If I recall correctly, in ASE, a pegomastix could eat a wyvern to death from across the map (opposite corner, well out of render).
On ASA, if I die, both my tame and whatever was chewing on it goes into stasis, meaning I can come back in a week and my tame will only be missing a few health. This also impacts raising. Myself and my players are noticing that raising babies during this event (we use smalltribes dynamicconfig) takes 2-3 times as long as they should; ie: wyvs take 48-72 hours on 4x.
I'm having trouble finding a flag that will reliably mitigate or even straight up disable stasis (compute isn't a problem); -preventhibernation is singleplayer only and allegedly things just don't hibernate in dedi. I had previously tried -StasisKeepControllers, however this led to bootloops until I deleted the savegame, even with -GBUsageToForceRestart=0 set.
What am I missing?

So as I understand it and based on a combined total of about 5000 hours of playtime in both ASE as well as ASA, global timers for things like maturation ticks, feed interval, taming, and so forth are not subject to suspension via stasis on dedicated multiplayer servers. What is affected by stasis on dedicated servers is things like AI pathing, combat, environment interactions (trees knocking down, bushes waving when walked through, etc..).
I believe this is not the case for non-dedicated servers where one of the players is hosting the server session on the same machine that the game is being played on.
It's possible I'm barking up the wrong tree, it's just incredibly odd to me that I can watch a baby raise at the correct rate, set a timer for when it should be done, log off, come back when the timer goes off, and it's only half as raised as expected. My players are noticing this, too.
It's not impossible that there's an unrelated issue where server restarts halt the timers until someone pops in since WC pushes 3 server updates a week.
Just to confirm, combat was enabled in stasis on ASE but is now disabled with no option on ASA, correct? I miss having to sprint back to my tames after I die by them and having to find where that high level giga wandered off to after sprinting back to base for a trap and darts.
My players are experiencing this issue as well on other maps in my cluster.
I tested this exact thing. I was also able to download other dinos.
Absent being able to see the ASA source code for the server daemon, I can't say with certainty that combat is disabled in ASA via stasis nor can I say with certainty exactly how timers and ticks are handled in relation to player proximity. I do know that there are no configuration INI options for dedicated servers that change or disable stasis directly. The only thing I know of is the INI options that govern hatching times, taming, imprint multipliers, and growth rates.

Proximity Text Chat: If you want to ensure chat is strictly within range, ensure EnableProximityTextChat is set to True.
Voice Chat: To limit voice to local/proximity only, use bDisableGlobalVoice=True or ensure the server is not in global voice mode.
Player Hotkeys: Even if global chat is enabled on the server, players can use Insert on PC to specifically send messages in local chat.

Pretty sure the game has all the assets in and of itself, not the map. I remember the Center doing the same garbage back in ASE and it offers nothing. I could play SP prior to Center with the same mods but not after because suddenly there's a bs Center dependency for whatever braindead reason, lol.

It did seem to help the server i play with my buds. But we also did a handful of things at the time to make fixes like stripping our spawn interference mods etc

I've been playing fine last weekend, updated my server to the latest version this morning and now it keeps coming up with server not responding. Deleted all the server files and reinstalled everything on a fresh the island world, still not booting up

fun. I'm running Ark on my linux server in docker via wine. I'm getting some new errors about sound (ALSA) and after that it sits for a bit then dies. I validated the install to see. I haven't attempted to disable mods. I might start a new server and see if that works.

You basically need to download the Microsoft.XAudio2.Redist package, extract the xaudio2_9redist.dll and put that in the Win64 folder of the server. Should work when you boot up your server after

copying file is prob your best bet also, looking at the github for acekorneya/asa_server dont look like they have an easy way to tell it what version of proton to use
what was the file size for that dll ? I have 5 listed of the same name with different sizes
I'm using proton 10 on mine and still had the issue. So updating to 10 might not work for everyone

It gets stuck as soon as it tries loading mods. Started yesterday after an overnight patch (with no patch notes). But rolling back to 77.27 boots its fine.
I have tried with my full stack of mods, and deleting the one it gets stuck on, then all but one, and regardless gets stuck loading those mods
If you read the logs it might be saying something like
"ALSA lib bla bla" which is happening to me as well, I found 1 guy on the unraid forum with similar issues and I also went digging through a lot of other logs only to find there seems to be an actual code issue that prevents the server from starting up if it cannot find an audio device
I havent checkedif I can load an older version yet
I did see something about audio but wasn't sure they were discussing the same error since mine seems very specific to loading the mods, but will have to look. Will look in logs for what you referred to, but I don't think mine even "fails" it just doesn't progress past tryingt to load mods.

Not so much (at least not that I know of). I had to download the old version via a command line tool someone here recommended (DepotDownloader) and replace the files on for the server to roll back then turn off auto-updates to block it from just reinstall the update

Yeah I only did it on Lost Colony as the members in my community were of course itching to play over the holiday, but left the other servers in the cluster in the hopes for an update

The issues with version later than 77.27 is due to the xaudio2 DLL being missing from the Win64 folder for Linux Proton/Wine servers so to fix it follow the steps below and also upgrade to GE-Proton10-27. Note I wasn't able to post the full HTML for the wget so add https:// to the front of the URL. Credit for this fix goes to Deciphersoul on Github.

You might be ok without the upgrade just recommended
Also just a warning if you do a steam update directly in the server files directory it very well may delete that extra DLL file so you might have to copy it back in after every update
POK server manager doesn't update directly in the server files directory though so I haven't had to worry about that

I set the max lvl dino spawn for 300. If I admin spawn in for exact stats and give moderate base stats but cap the muts on ho and damage with 255, the stats double after lvl'ing and poding

it is normal that Veilwyns only spawn with max level 100?
I've been observing this on our server for several days now. But since Lost Colony, Veilwyns never spawn higher than level 100.
I want to decrease the harvest health to 33%, would I have to increase the harvest amount multiplier by 3 to get the same amount?

You mean the configfiles in nitrado webinterface? On left side in settings you have configfiles there you can switch between game ini and gameusersettings ini.. if you mean that
nah i mean the console that allows you to run commands without having to be in the game, i couldnt figure out how to do it w/ nitrado but some server hosts i used to use in ASE had it

I got a cluster currently on 2 servers (island and Astraeos) and they are visible in the game menu but when i try to connect i get timeouted.
I already tested if its a Me-issue but i can join a different server just fine, its just my cluster that is weird
you tried out to restart your server? maybe reinstall the server?
i am using ASAM and restarted them over that Manager already yes
You should need the server exe file to allow communicat throw the firewall

Hi, is there any way to make the dinosaurs lay more unfertilized eggs? I have the Oviraptors in place, but the dinosaurs aren't laying any unfertilized eggs. I don't know if I need to change something in the ini file.
All females are in the near of a male? you looked into the Oviraptor? default he'll pick up the eggs and stored in the inventar.

anyone have any silver bullet for the ark inventory timeout issue? even after changing a cluster ID it still happens, one person on my server seems to be getting hit pretty hard with it as well.
Lower value means more eggs you can google settings for a pretty fair explanation of what each value means so you know which ones to increase or decrease hope it helps

Having a problem started a second server on my dedicated server.

No matter the order I launch the maps, the second server always fails and sometimes goes online and sometimes tries for a very long time. After 15 mins, I shut it down.

Sounds to me like possible port overlap. You cannot have two servers running on the same machine using the same ports.
not a port issue - both server finally the second server came up even with the second server still said failed on this validation.
we're running into problems where solwyn's can't build ice structures, as if there's an outpost there, but nothing is there. a destroy wild dino command was sent with the last reset, could it have made outposts invisible, or corrupted the areas?

Do you have the crystal structures skin installed? Heard that causes issues. Also don’t do wild Dino wipes. I have mine on my Nitrado server set to 10, 10, 5 and I get spawns outside the city

Change the settings to 10, 10, 5 and give it a little while for them to spawn in. Don’t do a wild Dino wipe.
If it’s set to auto wipe on server restart change it to no wipe

It causes your game to crash every time you try to access inventory on anything. You can’t even transfer maps
I didnt like the fact that it made you make an account on their servers, I want to actually host locally, nor did I want a paid one so I'm using "ARK Ascended Server Manager v1.2.3.51", no issues with it so far. Has all the features you'd expect.

Makes adding mods so much easier for me. I'm not super tech savvy like most people on here. Plus, it's only $16/year.
I wouldnt mind paying a one time fee of like 5 bucks for a decent interface, but no way im doing subscriptions, at that point might aswell rent server.

It's all the rest of the command line that's a problem for me. Keeping track of the path and what not. Granted, right now it's a moot point as I can't connect to my server atm. I can see it, but I try and select it and click refresh, and I get no sessions found.

I am having issues trying to get admin access on a new server. I have the admin password set its correct. I even followed some instructions on white listing my ID but that didnt work either. Any suggestions? edit- I am hosting myself. not on a hosting site.

It only requires a subscription to use the "premium" features. Mod browser, auto updates, etc.
I have the server. the rates the mods, now working on admin stuff. Never had this happen before not being able to go into creative.

rcon has nothing to do with being able to become admin on a server, and opening rcon to the world is not advised its unencrypted
I remember having issues using commands from ingame without rcon enabled in ASE, maybe unrelated issue
either way you need to use enablecheats yourpassword first, but I assume you did already
