AMD FI is not working properly and is introducing significant and very noticeable frame latency. If someone else who plays Ark at 1080P w/ Frame Gen Fullscreen, or 990P w/ Frame Gen Fullscreen and FSR 3 wants to check my work and confirm? It seems like when FI is enable its almost creating a slow motion affect even though the FPS read by the game seems to be largely unaffected but overall 50% lower after the patch.

Running windows 11 24H2 w/ latest patches, with a 5800X3D CPU w/ 32GB RAM, 7900XTX w/24GB VRAM GPU

Options: 1 (ON), 0 (OFF)

At least to me its VERY clear the difference between the two.
Also here is my current settings for Ark specifically from the driver level.

Fluid Frames On w/ High + Quality

This was confirmed with before playing and after patch playing. FPS is still also significant lower, 50%, after this patch on my setup.

Before the patch I would hover around 120-160 FPS and image fidelity was very good. Now its considerably more "soft" or "blurry" with FI disabled.

Also note I tried disabling all of this and running it natively at 1080p and it was very bad.

Okey, more infos about ram overconsumption for servers.
It seems at start, they're all overconsuming but after some times, the ram consumption going down (Don't know after how many times atm), so, I'm assuming, it's an issue with the Extinction update

I have 3 Nitrado servers. After the update, 2 will load up but after about 30 seconds I can’t access anything and then at around a minute I get kicked out with a host connection timeout message. The 3rd server when I log in everything is gone, my base, Dino’s, everything. I’ve tried server backups all the way back to 12/18 but nothing seem to fix the issues

the timeout is the same for me, i join and it just hangs, for maps like amissa it just hangs on the amissa load screen them timesout, im remote desktop into my machine i watch the consol window insta shut down, im trying to figure out wtf the devs did to cause this after an update, the error seems to be isolated to a few cases as i can join others server on 57.17 no problem with or without mods both island and extinction maps as testers. so im??? right now but while find a solution if other server werent affected even though it affects a fresh install from a n.american steam server sending us the downloded files.

Coming here to see if anyone else is having this problem or if anyone else may know a work around for now.
So when I log into our Non-Dedicated server 90% of the time I log into a blank character in a clean map. Sometimes I log in and its the same blank character.. but with some of our deteriorated base around me. And no dinos ever spawn.
After a few minutes on this blank character / map I crash.

If I try enough times before the aggravation sets in.. I might actually load into our map with my gear and our base.

Does anyone know why this might be happening? Or perhaps know a work around to fix this?

I bought a server for extinction last night and I still can’t get into it yet my friends can. I’ve updated my drivers, wiped and remade the server, restarted my computer, uninstalled and re installed ark and all my mods. I’m completely at a loss

but the insta crash is without all that on a brandnew just setup server aswell both island as its as vanilla as can be, and extinction, the only settings in the game ini is whats needed to launch a server..
from what i can figure its somthing to do with how the ark game char communicates with the server, because the server can run without crashing its only when a char joins it crashes with no valid log to give an idea what to look for but really theres nothing to look for on a brandnew fresh island map 😦

unless they have forced the new -usestore option just search your player id in that folder and copy it somewhere safe then delete it out of the save folder

I've always just used the No BattlEye AntiCheat, Unofficial Servers only option
Guess I could swap and see if that does anything.. but I kinda doubt it.

I'm having the same issue with my character on only extinction maps. I spun up another server and it was fine (or worked for my 4 test log ins) until I added it to my cluster. Then it went back to timing out when logging into the server. I can transfer to Ext np, just not log into it directly for some reason.

Ok Update time:
So after reinstalling the game and restarting a time or two.. it eventually clicked. My partner had killed my character. I was able to find our server and logged in to the normal death screen. So we will try this should I not be able to log in again. But it appears things are working ok for now. Now..... to finally catch up to my partners progress lol

I ended up rebooting my server PC and update validate each map once done I started said map all 1 at a time and now it seems to be letting everyone that was having timeouts on no issue

I have a Center server in my cluster that won't boot up. The console gets to the line about battlmetrics and then a minute or so later my RAM usage very quickly ramps up to 64GB and then Steam CMD crashes (I assume out of memory). Before the update it use around 10gb to run the server. I don't think it's a Mod issue, I have the same mods running on all the servers in the cluster. I've restored back ups as far as 3 days back but I get the same issue no matter what. Any ideas?

I'm finding Xiro Additions, Moro's Indomitable Duo, and PB1-5 all caused my server to crash before server join with giant RAM spikes. we use it and I have it set to not have a cooldown between uses

so handy if you have to pop out a lot of dinos

I've tried like 4-5 times, updating my server and doing a new server in a sepparate folder, same error. I'm updating now but had to change +login anonymous with my steam username. I dont know if it will work for you, but I was getting a lot of cannot download 2430930* error code 0x6. and I had to go in manually and delete or put in a folder, called Temp, Steamapps>appmanifest_2430930.acf (I delete it but I did not the 1st time I did it. ) it makes it so it forces all to redownload/update

Nah, in my case idk why it was that it was not allowing me to download anonymously throwing that "no subscription" error I pasted before. I've updated it by putting my steam account in the command line and it worked. And right now I've started both the server and game client and its working so its looks like problem solved.

I got past it.

• I restarted the server
• Logged into the Extinction map on singleplayer, ran around for 5 minutes
• Then retried my server till I got past it. Took about 3 tries. Then its fine.

Own a Nitrado cluster for ASA, I have one player thats having the issue listed below. Extra info: she’s cloud gaming on Xbox series S. She tried making a new character, reinstalled the game and believe she’s even reset her whole console and nothing. It’s only on our cluster.

Player: I can only see what I had in my inventory. If I pick something up it doesn’t show. It also stops showing what is in other inventories. Tames will lose their saddle and I can’t ride. I can’t craft because everything is empty. If I die, I can see the bag but it will be empty”

We've purposely not added extinction to our cluster yet. After the state of the last few releases, we tend to wait until all the mesh holes and unplayable bugs get sorted first 🤪

Howdy all, my brother and I set up a dedicated server for the extinction drop, from our research the Ark Server Creation Tool seemed our best route, but we are currently having issues with being able to change mods, edit the ini, access admin commands(yes we are using “enablecheats password” correctly) biggest issue is the mods switching, which I realize could be an issue we can’t fix, but it would be nice to be able to use commands, I even tried routing a white list.

Also Having the Same Issue, Except Its Most Mods won't place down, But Some Do. Like a Modded Wall will be placed down, but the Dino Depot Storage won't. And I was able to place down a Modded Teleporter as well.

I have a nitrado server in which is the only one i play, and sinces this morning it's been deleting my mods every hour, like I deleted the entire game, re-downloaded the game, re-downloaded the mods and after an hour my game just crashes and it says that ALL of my mods are ""Outdated"" on my mods list but when I go to the server it says I have every mod up to date, when I hit enter, it saids timeout error and I have to download AGAIN all 90mods is there something I can do to FIX IT?

and just restoring backups was not enough....had to make a new server and restore

HI guys, people in my server been having an issue when they log on. Often they don't see their dinos and structures and to me and other people they're still sleeping. This happens only in extinction. For now the only workaround is killing them with the GCM rifle so they respawn normally. Is this happening to other people?

if you are not using itemsplus add this to your command line:

-converttostore -usestore

-converttostore (imports the current player and tribe data into the .ark save file)
Run with -converttostore -usestore and then the next time you relaunch, you should not need -converttostore as all the data will be integrated.
Important to note: .arkprofile & .arktribe files are not automatically deleted after conversion so should be deleted manually if you want to save storage space.
-usestore (utilizes a different saving method that stores player and tribe data inside of save files)
Important to note: when rolling back save data simply do as normal and all the arkprofile and arktribe data will be in sync with the backup save already.```

Having issues downloading character to extinction in my cluster. When I go to download character it just shows loading then kicks me and says "Host connection timeout. Lost/timedout connection to host". I've un-installed and re-installed the game, verified game files, restarted my PC, etc. I'm the only one who is having this issue in my server cluster and I can't figure it out. Anyone have any ideas?
