yeah there are generally 3 show stoppers. 1 - your router, that by default does not forward ports, and that needs to be setup to forward ports to the local IP of your server
2 - the server itself blocking the ports (windows firewall) , sometimes if you have anti virus, it can also block ports
3 - ISP could block ports too (but its rare)
Need to be sure when doing all this that you use UDP ports, and ASA only uses 1 port per server, the queryport stuff is not for ASA
so if you run a server on port 7777 make sure UDP is forwarded on router, and a firewall rule exists to allow UDP 7777
Then all other servers maps you want to run, bump the port number , I.E 7778 UDP , etc.

are you on ASE or ASA?
are you sure the cluster is setup properly
it should work via LAN now, so port-forwarding isn't the issue if you aren't using a VPN to connect.

double check on the cluster ID and cluster folder.

can you join your server\s from the in-game unofficial menu ?
If not, then its port forwarding issue and clustering will not work either
If you can connect using the connect command, it generally works because you are on the same network as the server. Clustering will use public IP network path, so it also needs port-forward to work
they would still be connecting through LAN, so port-forwarding doesn't matter. unless manually changed (router stuff) or using a VPN. it'll default to using LAN. even if it is port-forwarded correctly.
it was a major problem in ASE since LAN connections were in their own tab and would break clusters since that only shows the unofficial tab.

its a - not a ?, make sure they also have a space before it

the ? is for other settings that go right next to eachother and no spaces

So, I'm running multiple instances on the same installation through LinuxGSM. The start-up parameters for rconport is always going to write to the GUS.ini which is shared amongst 4 instances each time a server loads. Is it safe to read-only the GUS once I'm done with it? (I'd like to be able to RCON correctly).
i read only my GUS file and use rcon as startup params. worked well for ASA and ASE
What command is everyone using to close down there servers? Quit? I feel like I'm having a lot of character loss on my servers. . . anyone find a solution?
use an RCON utility, then send commands saveworld and doexit
It will force server to flush data to save file on disk and terminate gracefully

only nitrado, they still have exculsive rights for another 2 years
self hosted + nitrado is under unofficial
You have to check the box under unofficial that says "show player servers" to see self hosted servers

I'm trying to stack all the items by 5000 on my servers, everything is working except Yutyrannus eggs, here's my setting :

This parameter is not working, can someone tell me why ?
if you'd just like to multiply all stack sizes by 5000 you can change ItemStackSizeMultiplier in gus.ini

I tried to see if, by random thing, if Yuty eggs were from mod and nope, there's from the core game, so I'm assuming, the id of the egg is not what is wrote

how are you collecting the yuty eggs ingame?
Some by the SCS Terminal from Super Cryo Storage, some by the Aggregator of Cybers Structures and finally pulling them into fridges
All are stacking by 500
default is 100, so if they stack by 500 they might not be generating normal yuty eggs
spawn in eggs using gfi to see if they stack to 5000?
I tried, they are stacking with the other at 500
I have the ItemStackSizeMultiplier=5 active, so it's normal if they go to 500, but that's not normal that this command for Yuty eggs is not working tho xD

I went to github and down loaded CA1 however I can not get CA r2m02 to download. The link doesnt seem to want to work

sry i meant server version of windows, you dont need to mess with those certificates on a windows home version .

hey i'm trying to change max lvl of wild dinos from 150 to 300
but it keeps reverting back to 1.0 difficulty

Change it in your ini files, the slider will always go back to 1.

i then save it restart teh game wipe all dinos and wait just for them to be lvl 150
Okay, the slider will stay at 1 regardless of your ini settings, but your game difficulty will be whatever you set it as in your ini.
If you're referring to level distribution, you have to overwrite spawns or use a mod.
i set it to 10 in ini files, load world and then it resets to 1
Thats half the problem if your saving the ini then restarting the server, you need to stop the server fully before making any changes to the ini file then start the server

i'ma try difficulty 5 to see if 10 is to much
The slider will always be at 1. If you have changed your ini files to 10, or whatever number, then that is what your game will follow, but levels do not distribute properly on the story maps, so it will be harder to find 150s without a mod to fix it or by overwriting spawns.

Hi There, for ASA, just checking if the AWS certificate crl is still required to set up a windows server? port forwarding works, we can join manually through console commands, but the servers dont appear on the server list. tested with and without -multihome=xLAN IPx , and with and without -serverip=xPublic IPx. setup used to work on ASA launch, so ports etc are still working fine for other servers we host. the ASA servers do show up on Battlemetrics

i want to know which ones are trustworthy to host on before i pay for them. and if they allow mods to be added if the settings are able to be adjusted like i can on nitrado, and if its cheaper
nitrado are the only ones allowed to host asa if you want to just rent a server thats already setup.
if you want to spend the time an effort to learn how to install an setup your server then you can use any server supplier aslong as the machine/vm has enough resources to actually run the server
Probably anything you rent will be better spec than Nitrado π
seen one person try to run it on a 4gb ram vm , needless to say it wudnt even load the server b4 crashing

my island server drops down to between 6- 8gb at idle but theres virtually nothing on it and only half dozen mods , i guess its all relative to use case

i find the spyglass mods a bit op, so use utilities plus for the early tek bino , just a personal prefernce
and Cybers Structures items that you can put poded dinos in is compatible with DD and SCS

I use 'exit' in the console for shutting down the server. Been doing this for nearly a year. I have not had any issues with it never saving any of my maps.
so you will want to make a new batch file for updating the server , just name it update.bat or w.e u want really
then copy this txt to it but change the locations to where yours are installed ,
start "" "C:\SteamCMD\steamcmd.exe" +force_install_dir "C:\Arkserver1" +login anonymous +app_update 2430930 validate +quit

hello, i am back with the same problem i had a few months ago /facepalm - i cannot get my servers running on the other machine in the other room to be seen as part of my cluster. I have checked, double checked, and lastnight was here and verified again that I am using the correct '-clusterid=<CLUSTER_NAME>' and '-ClusterDirOverride=<PATH>' in my start.bat files for my servers. I have gone to windows firewall and added ports 7779-7782 to be open as these are the ports i used in the start files for each of the 4 maps. I have gone to my router and added port forwarding for 7779-7782 as well. I can open each server and load it in the game client with the 'open 10.0.0.35:7779' or the other ports so i know the servers are working and i can connect. i just cant seem to get to where i can move between them

do the server show up in the in game menu when searching for them , have you tried looking for them on battlemetrics website to see what port there actually using?
no they do not show up - i can see them on battlemetrics though
if they are showing as using the ports u set them in battlemetrics , its likely a port forward issue or isp issue
you can use a website called ipvoid udp port checker,
put in ure ip an the port to check, it shud show as open/filtered if the forwarding is working correctly
i scanned 7779 and it said filtered
did it say open ?
umm, i put the url 76.156.33.110 in then 7779 in the tcp port scanner and it gave me 1 line saying status is filtered
well since u need to check udp, i have no idea why u want to check tcp
asa servers run on udp port
oh- that may be the whole prob;lem right there. i put all the ports as open in tcp and not udp

no its a program to help you ajust your server so im asuming u do it via pc files so in this case you just need to go in to your aberration server files and disable the engram for the zepplin and this will just disable it for that server only not the cluster

yes , they default to pvp when setup unless you tell them other wise in the ini files

Although not suggested, settings marked with Check mark.svg in the CMD column can be used in the command line too, appending them with the ? syntax. In contrast, settings marked with X mark.svg cannot be moved in the command line.
i dont think you wud be able to as they have there own header in gus.ini and server wudnt know how to handle that in commandline
just dm you, might be something ure intersted in if u have have enough disk space to run seperate server installs
Asking here too, my server runs the correct version, has the correct characters saved in, yet doesnt have our save. In the files, I put in the old ones to the new one and it has multiple backups and saves, yet when still launching that server it's just, day 1..?
Sounds like the saves aren't in the correct place, did you check path?

Shouldn't be an issue with running a server to check if it works, shutting it down, wiping the save directory, copying the old save files over including ark data and restarting the server
If I'm hosting a server on my PC, how can I get someone to join on another PC that's on the same network, pretty sure I don't need to portforward for that but I'm not sure what to make them connect to. (or which IP)

Itβs a plain file with one EOS ID per line.
PlayersExclusiveJoinList.txt goes in the server folder -> /ShooterGame/Binaries/Win64
then make sure -exclusivejoin is in your startup parameters
this is not how it works. Everybody who wants to use paid content has to pay for it. Would be too easy (and less money for WC) if just the server owner purchases it once and then its free for all players.
Those items are in game. But to use them, the player must own them.

Did you add -exclusive join to your startup options though? I donβt have anything for it in my gus.ini
How did you get the EOS ID for each player?
yes i believe that is where i put it. im using pterodactyl, and put it in the Additional Arguments (FLAGS) section
its only got me on it atm. i got it from singleplayer and double check it against the console of the server when i had the whitelist disabled

You should get a timeout. However, it will show a connection attempt in the console.

If anyone uses Zytharian Critters' tek collection for ASA, I know from reading in their discord that Custom Dino Levels doesn't affect anything in in the ZC mods, is there a way to increase the level distribution for them by any chance? Everything from the tek critters mod is around 50 or lower, so I was just curious. I've of course asked in the discord, but it's been a week and no one there has bothered to answer other than a "thumbs up" from a random user.

I'm fully aware that you can overwrite vanilla spawns for orrect level distribution, but I do not know if it would be possible to do anything with this mod.
you can try overwrite their spawns in beacon and force them to spawn in certain level ranges
if its a modded creature you just do mod discovery in beacon and add this mod to your project

Nondedicated is 4 people max, you + 3 others, and has a tether. Your friends will only be able to go around 850 meters away from you, can be teleported to you randomly, has all the bugs of singleplayer, etc. And it isn't crossplay.
Dedicated is an actual server. No tether, it is crossplay, less issues.

Yep, just the server. Needs to be running for as long as you want people to be able to join. If you're hosting it yourself, it's free, aside from your electricity bill keeping the pc on.

Dedicated servers are free. I don't know why you were asking about hosting from your own pc if you were talking about Nitrado. Nitrado is the hoster if you're renting.

W1ll and John are here though, they're much better as dedicated server stuff, so I'll leave you in their very capable hands 
if the gaming pc has 16gb or ram an a modern ish cpu it'll likely run the server just fine, you will also decent internet and access to the router for port forwarding
just be aware it will take some time an effort on your part learning how , nitrado is an easier solution but costs money each month as your renting the server from them

if you have beacon omni you can overwrite wyvern spawns and add more wyverns to wyverns spawn container or wyvern trench itself
they still gonna despawn pretty often but there will be more of them respawning as well

multiple ways to do it, mine are on a home windows version , some use linux an dockers, if renting server from datacenter prob has be on a server version, i think it has to be windows server 2019 or newer

This building tiles not loading bug is really frustrating some of my players. One guy can't get more than a 4x4 area to load of our base. :[

i logged in and the entire server was destroyed, most tames killed. the logs do not show who and what killed them and players on my server talk about a player flying around and killing everything.
i am hosting a server on nitrado, downloads are enabled but no crossark. there is no PW on the server.

set a cluster id for the server , sounds like someone got in and abused admin mode

Hey guys, I'm running into an issue and I'm not sure if it has something to do with the INI files, even though they are all the same for all the servers. Every time I transfer between my cluster, the weight stats go crazy and increase to over 200k. The server has to be restarted for the weight stat to come back to normal.

there are tons of ways to go around port forwarding like hamachi and zero tier. those create LAN tunnels to other PCs. not sure if either is available for consoles tho.
if you are ASE, clusters likely won't work properly with them tho. since clusters don't work well on LAN.

i am going crazy trying to figure this out, all of a sudden out of nowhere a few months back my own server that a run from a seperate pc is rubberbanding 24/7 to the point its unplayable, i upgraded the ram even recently from 16 to 32 since it would hang around 85-95% use, its still rubberbanding just the same. I cant find any solutions to this

you have several options, really depends if you want to rent a server in which case there's host havoc, nitrado etc etc usually around 15-20$ a month, or if your'e wanting to self host you can use the steam cmd and command lines to host servers yourself or ReadyGSM has ui software that will host your servers pretty easily without doing all the setup manually
there is a lot of setup youll have to do to get it to work such as port forwarding so they can join, the server settings as well as declaring the map names etc etc, your other option is to try downloading readygsm and it will do most of the setup for you and the rest is very easy from there just download it select the maps and hit start

There's a nice free one on itch[dot]io called Arkasm, it looks a lot like the old ASE server manager, and can walk you through all the steps @dusky canopy - Setting it up by hand isn't difficult, it's just tedious is all
the trouble with server managers is half of them were incorrect an the other half dont really explain whats going on so people get in a muddle, its not as simple as click a button on nitrado.

the simple solution is, rent from nitrado if u want easy server setup(even then requires abit effort setting it up how u want)

nitrado servers can take upto 30 mins to setup/intsall an show in lists,
also make sure ure filters are set to all, they default to the island pvp
Yeah, I've used a lot of ASA "server managers" trying to streamline things, and ... it's just better to manually set up. When stuff goes south, you know what to pull and where to pull it.

haha, I actually used the most popular one, ASM to just copy/paste over all the config files, and change the game ID on steamcmd
i tried one, it dint work , came here for help an then got taught how to do it manually, then spent time learning about exactly how the batch files etc work.
at the time it wasnt widely known to use -port=xxxx to set the port , -winlivemaxplayers etc
some people still using ?listen and ?queryport commands on asa π
-port was already set by ASM, and thankfully, when you boot up ASA for the first time, it modifies the GUS.ini to add the winlivemaxplayers, so it wasn't too much digging to figure out.
It was that switchover, much like you, where I learned how it was being done by the server manager on the back end, and it turned out all that "complexity" wasn't all that difficult to begin with. If you're willing to take the time, we can teach you.

theres a popular video on youtube for setting them up manually cant rem the name , but its very wrong
prob one or two people a week come in here with issues because they follow this particular guide on youtube

i installed on home version of windows so lucky never ran into that , was big fuss when they discontinued support for win server 2016 iirc aswell

I could connect fine if I used the console open command to the LAN and the WAN public IP's, so port forwarding was correct.
- I had to install epic launcher on the server as per ΓΖ's post, running a port/session listener I can now see a https connect nou to a aws server which wasnt there before from the ArkAscendedServer.exe
1.b used certificate manager to remove any previous certs issued to, and issued by Amazon/AWS - I had to match my "-ServerIP" to my multihome for some odd reason. could be the way my ISP NAT's my static IP that. and wierd that it doesn't work if i use the external in -ServerIP=165.xxx.
- If i leave- ServerIP= out of the startup line then it doesn't show on the in game server list.
That's the WC way most of what we know is from figure it out, WC gives little to no information on how to run/setup a server

a lil tip, if you run own server that you control the updates on, you dont need to take minor server versions.
only the major version has to match for people to join it...
i often dont bother updating mine with the minor version
not that i know of , i mean i guess you cud backup a full copy of every server version each time, but dont know anyone that does .

It's the way he says I tested on my server for last week it's been that way the clock used to slow down and speed up on ase but here it's more like going to Antarctica or whatever clock runs same speed but daylight is adjusted

server is setup through a server creation tool/manager ports are forwarded through the router 7777 27015 and 27020 for the rcon if needed creation tool sets it up in same way a batch file would i believe latest version fully updated
27015 is an old steam query port from ase used for when it was on steam network
ASA runs on eos (epic online services),so not needed
to join game u only need the one udp game port forwarded inbound through firewall , router and any antivirus /malware etc program u might use.
for some reason a few people have issues using the default 7777udp port, so might be worth trying 7778
im not familar with server managers tbh as alot of them are wrong or dont work properly.
you can also use an online port checker like ipvoid udp checker,
put in your ip an the port number an it shud show as open|filtered
you can also look up the server name on battlemetrics website an check its using the port you think it is

what can I do to send a message in world when an autosave is done? We are using a dedicated server (using SteamCMD without any ServerManager) and we have set AutoSavePeriodMinutes=15.000000 but would like to have a message in world, so the player knows that they need to expect a few seconds of lag.
My advice is to don't do a broadcast. It is well known auto saves every 15 minutes and it is expected on every server. Auto saves shouldn't lag that much at all.

You need double the RAM because effectively youβre running two copies of Ark. 32GB for what you are trying to do.
the game will grab port 7777 so your server canβt use that. You need to assign it something else like 7778

it all comes down to useage , amount mods, structures on map etc, get 20 players on at a time and your gonna see more useage, etc etc

ok so im having another issue. i have 4 maps set up with pterodactyl. all are mounted to the one mount, with -exclusivejoin -noundermeshkilling? -clusterid=||REDACTED|| -ClusterDirOverride=/||REDACTED|| -NoTransferFromFiltering in the command line.
when i upload a dino, and exit the termal and go back, the dino is gone, and when i transfer to a different map, it spawns me in, but when i select an area to spawn at, it puts me in character creation and the charater i transfered is forever gone

Need to think about special characters and not using them in file names or directories. My partner drives me nuts because she has a Mac and they are really slack about what you can put in a file name. Backing it up to a Linux NAS is frustrating.
Every OS has different rules, Iβd stick to letters, numbers and - or _ and no spaces.

Mine has conventions. But takes no account of where itβs backing up to. I set up Time Machine on my NAS in the end.

would a corrupted save cause issues with startup? bc my center server wants to take 15 minutes to get the server up and most of the time it crashes out with a HANG but my SE server with similar mods just took three minutes to startup including a full mod install (I have a 256GB SSD, and windows + five ark servers was not cutting it)
tbf it depends on specs and settings, 32gb wasn't enough for me to achieve this as it was always using almost all of it and sometimes lagging due to going over

backup the save data, remove all mods an test, if good proceed to adding mods till issue found.
if still crash without mods , remove all save data , test again

on really busy servers i do the player data in batches or 2 or 3
it takes four minutes plus at the Shiny CCA loading, then AP+ wyverns debug and by the time that shows up in logs, the backup timer is like a minute or less and boom, restarts. I got it to load earlier today and I managed to get in and get a few things accomplished but it crashed around 4am and no luck getting it to load since.
one thing i forgot, the system has enough free ram to acctually load another server with the others running?

it can handle two full maps + Club ark without issue, but I do one map and only start a second if I was going to transfer maps

The game takes up 16GB on my PC. The Island with limited mods on my server is 12GB. Windows needs RAM too. Youβll need 32GB to run server and game on the same PC.

Anyone else having their server blatently ignore settings? Both in GUS.ini and Game.ini and it like, picks and chooses random ones to ignore too, so not even all of them. Hey everyone! I'm having a unique-ish problem on my server... I have rented a server through Nitrado since ASA was released, and I had 2 ASE servers prior to that.... I have never encountered this issue before, so I'm hoping you fine people can assist. Recently, we switched our server map from The Island over to Scorched. Since that change, our tribe log has been only recording one event at a time - instad of the full list of what our tribe has been doing. For example, someone may cryo a dino, then claim a baby, then demolish a foundation. When you look in the tribe log, it will only show that the foundation was demolished (the most recent event). I reached out to Nitrado and reviewed my server settings. They suggested adding -MaxTribeLogs to the game ini files since ASE had that command but ASA doesn't, and if that didn't work they recommended that I reach out on this page.... MaxTribeLogs didn't work so... Here I am! Anyone have any idea what I need to do in order to fix this?? It's not the end of the world - but it is kind of annoying to only see one event - especially during tribe wars lol

Hey all, I am an admin for an Ascended Cluster and was hoping someone here with more experience could help me troubleshoot a problem our server is having. Recently the server owner had an IP address change from his network provider, and immediately afterwards players were unable to connect to The Island map. All of the other maps, we have 8 in total, are accessible but everyone that tries gets a Connection Timed Out message when trying to join The Island. Anyone experienced anything like this in the past?

I believe it go changed, on the first time they added that whitelist link, each mod had their own Calculated package CRC, on the list it was typed as (modid|1|1|crc number), everytime said mod updated, the crc number changed so the guy in charge of that list had to manually change the numbers everyday (that why some mods stopped working for a day or two after updating)
Since aberration launched, they changed how that list works by using a universal crc (modid|1|1|1), i dont think you need to add -DocustomcosmeticValidationanymore cause every mod approved on the list is working on the same code, even after updating

Is there some reason that it would change for only 1 map of the 8 after the owners network IP address change? I'm not doubting you in any way, I just don't know much about the server side of things and trying to learn more so I can help my server better if issues ever arise.
it will all depend on how the servers were setup in the first place ,
if a port isnt set they use defaults , that go 7777udp, 7778udp etc etc as each server instance is started .
its possible the owner is using the correct port command, which is why i always suggest checking what port the server is actually using on the battlemetrics site, once that is confirmed, can then use a udp port checker to make sure its actually open
There's also a bug that if you set the session name in the startup script, and the session name has a space in it, it'll try to use default port 7777 instead of the one specified.
So checking if the server is indeed running on the port you think it is, is a good idea.

Private unofficial server. It's PVE and just a bunch of friends together in their own tribes. We wanted to do alliances just to make life easier but the PVP is off for the server. Server owner turned the offline raid thing off so alliances can work but it's still not working - what are we doing wrong/how are we supposed to do it?

It's a known issue with unofficial servers; use -converttostore -usestore and -BackupTransferPlayerDatas with your unofficial server, and you'll have much more stable player data. I followed this advice and haven't lost a character in months now. Do a full server backup beforehand though. While this has worked for many of us, there's always a possibility something goes wrong. Ideally, you'll use this on all servers in your cluster - but seems to be safe (from my testing) to migrate servers one-by-one.
You only need to use -converttostore the first time you start the server up with -usestore.
after that you only need -usestore

Worst case cenario, how do you backup a character (if something bad happens post commandlines) using this new save methods?
If i got it right, lmk if i'm wrong:
1: -converttostore -usestore -BackupTransferPlayerDatas on command lines, this is only for the first time so all the data is converted.
2: Remove -converttostore on the next time we shutdown the map.
Pretty much done here, the questions are: How does -BackupTransferPlayerDatas works? It creates profile saves everytime the map performs a save?

as for the -backuptransferplayerdatas i havent had a chance to look more into it so not certain, my guess wud be it backups player data only when they transfer maps . again though just a guess , its never been an issue for me to have to look into it , so convert to that save format at your own risk
We added all 3 commandlines right now, hopefully we wont be needing to restore lost characters anymore

Dedicated server. If no one is online nothing is breeding. This was not a thing in ASE and I have no idea which setting it is for ASA
Qol has a structure you can add dinos in to breed.
Does the server have the freeze areas of the map setting on?
The propagator? Also, are you talking about the tick meshes setting? I thought that was just to allow dinos to move when you're not in the area?
Map hibernation, itll freeze any part of the map that has no active players
ASE did that also, used to log in and watch a dozen eggs i had out all hatch at the same time

ASE you could click the setting in GPortal for hibernation. You cannot breed in ASA without being online. Eggs are not really what I am aiming at as much. It is Mating in general. They do not mate when we are offline. I do not know where the setting is to turn it on. I have tried -nohibernation in the past and that does not work. So I am asking if anyone knows which setting to either add via ini or if Nitrado has a setting I am not aware of. OR If someone has knowledge of a MOD we can add to the server to allow offline mating/breeding.
theres not asetting for it, in ase we used to leave them on wandering to have them do this, or use a mod with a hitching post an set them wandering
dedicated servers dont hibernate, things do go into stasis through
before i had mods, i wud make pens that kept them jammed in one spot , then leave on wandering, once i had mods, , hitching post made it so much easier
and as w1llz said hitching post normally keeps them from going into stasis
hitching post with dsv2 nat set an auto turn off mating when full was the way forward π

they wont breed offline if just set to mate, they have to be on wandering

Actors in stasis will not move, in case of creatures, and no physics will be calculated around them. Creatures will not lay Eggs nor wander, gather resources, or have statistics changes. However, upon exiting stasis, creatures will resume what they were doing, and their food value will be calculated and applied, as well mating times for Fertilized Eggs laying and pregnancy times. In the case of structures, they will be loaded and physics will be applied again and where applicable the related decay times.

i dont have a way to change any settings on your server, but there is a bDisableFriendlyFire setting you could use
so i was poking about a bit , i think the -backupplayertransferdata is just keeping a copy of the players transferdata(eos id) in the cluster folder .
i cant really confirm properly though as it just me on the servers ,
before i had that set i seem to rem after the 15min world save, that file wud get merged into the .ark world file an be gone from the cluster folder ...
will test more as when i get chance
EDIT nvm i dunno whats going on tbh haha , i have data in the cluster folder thats staying(prob coz i uploaded items)
but also have a <eosid>.arkprofile in the world saved data folder hmmm

Okay can Beacon still be used to enhance your options for customization and whatnot? Itβs been a few years since I made a server and that was on ASE
Of course, it has an option to choose ASA or ASE when creating a new project, and both can of course be sent/received directly from your nitrado server.

Lol you're perfectly fine, that's what this channel is for. It does not matter what you use to rent the server, your specs only matter if you're using it to make your own dedicated server. I do believe you still need to download the Nitrado app from the Microsoft store to rent an Xbox server, regardless of it being fully cross-platform after renting.

Anyone having loot drop issues lately? We can't find drops in dungeons all the sudden and anything outside of the dungeons is pure shit π I have our loot table set at 2 which it has been since ASA dropped a year ago thanks!

thats good, if its not there then the server defaults to using normal ie set as false, u dont want that setting true it causes to much trouble

do u have drop overides in the game .ini , i.e custom drops set through beacon or manually done?
also any mods on the server? some of those can fiddle with the drop settings
Ark: Survival Evolved (ASE)
Does anybody know how to adjust the maximum points that can go into a player's stats?
For example, if I set each level to increase by 10x for weight (PerLevelStatsMultiplier_Player[7]=10.0) per point, I'd like to cap the stat out at max of 1,000 weight. I know there is a way to do this but I've been searching for a while and haven't found what I'm looking for. Everything points to how max stas are 255, I'm not talking about that π I want to set HARD CAPS on Movement Speed, Weight, and Crafting.
i dont think its possible in the way ure thinking,
the closest solution i can think of wud be to have the players spawn in with a base level of 1000 weight by change the base mutiplier ,
then have the perlevelstatsmutiplier be set at 0.001 so it basically does nothing.

i was actually playing the game and running , centre an scorched earlier on 32gb ram, a lil bit stuttering here an there zooming about in gcm but not terrible lmao
I know it's possible to cap stats as I capped it years ago to 180% movement speed.
If it's paging out to a PCI-E 4.0 nvme drive then you might get away with 2 servers and the game without any slow down

shhh, my servers run on a clunky old 2tb hdd atm hahaha , havent got around to moving them , i have too many drives an slowly sorting out old storage to clean up
