Wasted stats in the long run. You could put points in there and do a mind wipe tonic later, once a higher level. Throughout my characters leveling , I’ve done the mindwipe about 3 times. When you have good shotgun, snipers and don’t use compound bow / pikes to defend against wilds, can mind wipe and put them into weight, or speed.

So many questions and so few answers. So the developers removed the ability to customize .INI, but why are they doing it now? The game is more than 7 years old and only now they realized that this is unbalanced? Or why did they decide to do this instead of fighting cheaters, of which there are a huge number on official servers? ESP, Speedhack, Aimbot, etc. Or people who live in meshes on pvp, why do they ban one person out of a thousand? On almost every map on the official servers there are a lot of bases in meshes, even Alpha tribes live in them. There are even separate channels in the discord channels for selling blueprints and dinosaurs in which people sell places in meshes, sell cheats, sell ways to destroy bases through a mesh. Why, instead of fighting all this, the developers decide, "Let's better remove the ability to customize INI for them." I agree that this thing was very strong, but I do not believe that this is a matter of the first degree of importance.

It's simple, ark 2 is getting delayed and they need to extend the longevity of ark 1 as long as possible with as little effort as possible to maintain workload on Ark 2. Getting rid of ini is a simple code change and UE5 update is also pretty straightforward with most of it porting automatically. Fixing mesh, banning cheaters, and just managing official in general isn't worth the work to them.

It's because they need to keep the hype ramped up for ark 2 because it should be about to release, but it's not. It's the same reason they are doing another dino adding contest even when they said they weren't going to.
