If you’re on pc changing the resolution is a quick fix I play on windowed fullscreen, so I have to change it to fullscreen, save, then back to windowed fullscreen, it’s super annoying but it does temporarily fix it everytime (at least for me)

Make sure to fill the pots with TREES !! Not bushes. — when you revive a tame it depletes all the food in the inventory. So then you will need to refill the pots again.

You put the pots in your inventory and use a shovel 🪏 to fill them

For wild I would say it’s okay. Are you single player ? For SP it’s good. As you are not riding most of them for manticore you really want high melee damage.

You can always look for higher level eggs while you are breeding. It doesn’t hurt.
I did alpha without a yuty. The wyverns fly around. The areana fairly quickly so chasing them with a yuty on the ground seemed pointless. The yuty will also have to deal with the rock golems and death worms. Up to you but I don’t think you will get much benefit from a yuty.

In case you didn’t know.
You need to turn on AI attacks on the wyverns. You also have to do it one by one as the copy command may not work. This ensures they use their lightning attack.

Yes it seems like since the update you need to download the dlc that the engram is unlocked on. Not ideal but at least you don’t have to go to that map to unlock it. Just download the DLC.

got a question about ASE i have some buddies who are unable to join eachother even through a non dedicated server I always assumed it was just invite through steam and it's an easy join but if one hosts the other cannot find nor join and if the other hosts they can see but can't join

Every time I try to install Club ARK, it cancels out on me. Anyone have any tips or advice? Something I can try?
I found a few of these in my crashreportclient folder, but unsure if it's related to Club ARK or not, because I wasn't actually getting a true crash. But I think the times these were added line up to when I was attempting an install?

It shouldn't be a storage issue, because I did have it installed before, just last week. (But when updating it after, the update failed -- basically it got to about 30% dl'd and sat there for hours without any progress -- so I uninstalled/reinstalled/update stall>broken file). But now it won't even install.
In short: I go to mod page, find Club ARK, hit install. The bar slowly moves, but then about halfway through, the cancel button disappears, the install bar will move as if it's completed, but then it switches back to the install button/hasn't actually installed.
So if anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears.

that basically means "safety check: is the savefile as big as it says it is? (no)" and probably means a bad crash cut off the savefile and corrupted it. you will need to roll back the save using one of the automatic world backups, or a manual one

they store data in a slightly different and stabler way, and keep an external record of your dinos that you can restore stuff from in case of accidents

they also dont wipe buffs from dinos, which makes them a lot stabler with a lot of mods, as well as not removing exp bonuses and such

I had already uninstalled it from the mod page in-game/from the maps list because of the broken file I had when the update stalled out on me before. As well as removed anything from my Steam game files that was related. Unless I remove the actual BobsMissions folder as well (though it's empty) from my SavedArksLocal, there isn't anything left for Club ARK on my PC (unless I'm blind and am missing something).

The only thing I can think of that's different recently, and I doubt it's relevant (I don't think this is an Internet issue) but I'll mention anyway, is that I did change over my download location on Steam from US-New York to US-Chicago, because Chicago is closer to me. (Not sure why I had it on NY, probably was like that since I first DL'd Steam years ago).

For Alpha Manticore on official servers, having about 18 to 20 Lightning Wyverns with 20k HP and around 600 melee should be enough. They take down the boss pretty fast and only lose a bit of health.

Offical. our astraoes server rolled back 15-16 hours and before that it was crashing maybe ever 10-20 minutes so was starting to get bad with the crashes over and over. But a 15 hour roll back is just far too much. A tinny warning of any kind might have helped some of us grab dinos to another server for safe keeping etc.

Note Run = You grab Explorer Notes for a big XP boost. Run from one to the next on a fast dino and level up quick.

Big sky pillars = Obelisks. You can use them to upload dinos/items or summon bosses.

Level up fast = Do a note run + kill stuff during the XP boost. You can find YouTube vids for routes on your map.

Do small note runs. Stack the timer up to a few thousand seconds and then spam craft rafts. At one point rafts will give you more xp than explorer notes but you gotta have the XP buff active.

These tek bridges re a pain....Currently using a line of 3 ladders side by side with a wall and a half wall behind it and roof over. Some experimenting showed me standing on the ladder ensures the end point is lined up just ahead of me....while climbing the ladder as high as possible until my head ensures Im at the same hight when placing all three of the parallel tek bridges...LOL. If you're on singleplayer you can see if there's a backup of the localprofiles i think it is files--the obelisk contents are saved separately from map saves so if you ex. download your survivor, dino, items and then the game crashes before the map saves, it's gone from everywhere. otherwise you might need to make a new char and use console commands to give yourself items, engrams, levels and retake your dinos/structures

if you're on an unofficial server you might have backups or command access but official i think you're outta luck

Hey y’all, I’ve been running into a new issue and could use some insight.
So I’m playing Ark: Survival Ascended on PS5 (non-dedicated session with a friend), and we kept getting crashes that rolled us back like 20 minutes every time. After talking with folks here, someone suggested using the saveworld command to manually save progress — and it worked! No more rollbacks after crashes, which was great.

BUT now that I’ve been using saveworld regularly (only for about a day and a half), the crashes have gotten way more frequent — like every 5 minutes. It’s super frustrating. Has anyone else run into this? I don’t know if the command is causing the crashes somehow, or if it’s something else entirely.

I got my new GPU and decided to throw it into my current setup just to make sure it works before I wind up outside of the return window. i think they can get it. it does not seem to be directly linked to any specific hardware. likely you changed drivers and settings or upscaler behavior (which it seems related to) in the process

I'm dubious, but happy if this issue has finally been resolved. Fifth time in a row the game has saved progress on single player. Can anyone confirm whether-or-not they fixed single player not saving progress on console? So far, everything placed and crafted was saved after exiting the game. ASA hasn't saved progress like that for me since before Aberration dropped. Is this happening to anyone else that was having single player save issues before I get my hopes up?

It wasn't saving after "the big unreal engine 5.5 update". Whatever they did with the last patch that was released around noon today seemed to have fixed the progress save issue in single player. At least for me and a few other people. I'll keep what you said in mind and not get too excited.

Me and some of my friends are playing modded on the center and it seems no matter what value we put in the tether distance setting its limited to ~2km which makes it hard to go and do stuff without dragging everyone else around

we played on ragnarok previously with a similar mod list and it wasnt a big issue at all since it let me go about 10-12km without issue

It does the same thing to my friends on PS5. Yanks them to me if they go too far in single player. The game has been unplayable for us after aberration dlc so a lot of them deleted it from the consoles. I don't think there's a way to alter the tether distance though. I've tried looking into it.

you cant, it is a safety mechanism. non-dedi is inefficient, if people could go anywhere on the map, it could load twice as much of the map at once on the host

It's possible, running a server is more demanding on your ram and cpu, but with 32gb he should be fine. Just note that as more players join a server, or more mods are added, more ram is used.

iF you got a spare low end pc or a personal gaming pc, you can host a dedicated session from it, you wont have any tether distance then and for a session with 2-4 players the server can be low demanding

Companions should follow you across servers unless your doggo is filled with stuff / has an important saddle.

Are there any mods on the server? Have him check log files in the server information menu. I have a server that is running- but doesn't ever start up due to a mod error. If there is an error- it will tell you what mod is causing it. It should say " server has successfully started and is advertising for players to join" if it is actually started- along with save and dino data.

Hi, I play Official PVE server on PC, ASA. I get random hard crashes on the Island (Unreal Engine crashes), Every time this happens, I click send and restart, when I try get back into the server I get this message "You need BattleEye to connect to this server. Oh, there’s more than one issue on Xbox. Sometimes I crash to dashboard before the game even finishes loading. Other times it crashes on inventory exit, other times on teleport and sometimes just for changing the direction I’m facing.

I haven't changed anything on my Xbox (gamepass download) and while trying to join servers I get a "You don't own this map" message. I confirm the prompt to "buy" it and it says i own it. If you want to host instead of renting a server you need a second PC.. if you want to join someone else’s server or play solo you only need one.

Well im from SA, EU servers are the better for us coz ping might be a lil bit worst (NA 170/190) (EU 220/270) but timezones are great when its day at SA, EU is going to sleep so server is empty hehe

some areas can get very dangerous. assuming the island. the north of the map and the redwoods can definitely set you back.
there are a few metal spots in the south like on herbi island and a small hill just inland next to a river. using river rocks to get metal is also a good plan.

Sorry Mara it just worked for me. I removed all my mods after 5.5 to see if it would help performance and then I just installed Club Ark and it worked. No issues.

I had deleted my previous Club Ark save as well as my Island save (after saving backups just in case, which is looking to prove fortuitous) because I had been wanting to start fresh for a while. 5.5 update just gave me the excuse to finally do it.
Originally I had gotten it to install a couple weeks ago. But then it had to update. (Why the installation wasn't up to date is another mystery). However the update would just stall out - it would get to about 30% and no further for hours and hours until I finally gave up. Which of course caused a error.
So Uninstall, reinstall. Again update glitches out.
But now for the last week it won't even install. Gets about halfway then bugs out.
I'm honestly just out of ideas here. Short of copying my old Club Ark save back on and seeing if it'll update.

Okay since Club Ark is a lost cause... back to regular Ark. Which means another question.
Anyone know what graphic setting (if any) I need to tweak to remove/fix the static-y/grainy shadows? (I've had this since the beginning of ASA so well before the 5.5 update, and just haven't been able to figure out what's causing it). Mainly the shadow under my character and under dinos.
I've switched from Unreal to FSR, no change that I notice. And if I remember I have it set on balanced (one step up from that and my HUD icons were flickering).
I have all my settings on high.
Game runs fine otherwise, and I know this is just a visual thing, but it'd be nice to erase if I could lol.

Did you check the mod page to see when it was last updated? If it wasn't updated after the 5.5 update, you have to wait. If it is updated, but it won't let you update, might need to completely delete the mod and then reinstall it, but I don't think on PS5 you can access the mod directory in the game files.

There was an issue with mods on console, but I think that was fixed already.

This is an issue with the 5.5 update - harvested resources show but aren't actually there. Trees, rocks, etc. are all affected. The only thing I've found that works is to restart the game and hope they're gone. If you have Refertilizer that might bring them back to be harvested but I haven't tried that.

They might be too close together. That's the action you're describing. Gachas need to be NINE (9) foundations apart from another adult gacha of the same gender. Place some spare foundations to get the distance right, or build a structure specifically to house them.
