there are solid state drives and hard disk drives. SSDs are WAY faster then HDDs and newer games are starting to require them like ASA.

if you are running it on an HDD loading may just be super slow, not responding is just windows yelling doesn't always mean it crashed.

HDD and SSD have their benefits and downsides; HDD is usually cheaper and comes with more storage space, but it's slow and prone to damage if the drive is moved suddenly while working. SSD is much much faster because no moving parts, but byte for byte it's a lot more expensive

Hi guys, I've been trying to move my survivors between servers in my unofficial cluster (Locally held on dedicated server), but every time I hit spawn survivor it sends me to the character creation screen, and still won't do anything. You don't want to. If you fill up the mothers' side, you can't get any more mutations. Don't fill it up, and you will continue to get more mutations, just much slower. The only way you can get mutations on the mothers side is by breeding with mutated mothers.

The cap is kind of irrelevant, tbh. Each time dinos breed, there's X% chance from the father and X% chance from the mother, this holds true until you have a father with 20 mutations, at which time you can't get any more from that side, effectively halving your overall chance for getting mutations.

The set up right now is I have 40 females that are identical with no mutations and I’m swapping out the male for a better male each time and I’m not really going in a specific order I’m just getting like weight or melee or health and adding as a go. If you're happy with that, just keep going! Stacking would mean that instead of 40 females to one male, you'd have four groups of females with one male each with a different line of mutation, so one for health, one for melee, one for weight and one for health. It's more a methodology thing, really.

You can use the same base females for it. On ASE, it's harder, if you were on ASA, you don't need to start over, with time you can split up the mutations and have those four lines.

The reason why lines are better is when you start getting a lot of mutations, your combos will get to 20 (like now) and that will halve your chance. If you use lines, you get 80 mutations before halving your chance, because there's four separate lines. There will be more males to worry about, you need to space out the groups, there's a bit to take into consideration

gene scanner is tied to bobs, same with cosmo and the zeppelin. can't use them without.
others like the shovel or the oasisaur (haven't tested the resurrection) can be used without.
before anybody says, Yes, you do need it to tame/claim or craft them lol. I think you can repair the shovel

Taming affinity is just another name for taming percent

But level affinity is how much of a stat increases per percent from tamed levels

Mutations and wild levels are a flat number increases but tamed levels are a percentage of the base stat once tamed pre levels

Level Affinity jncreases the percent that those levels increase. For example a rex will increase melee by 1.7% for every level put into it but if you changr the dino level affinity for melee to 2.0 the rex will gain 3.4% for every level

How do you grab dinos with the karkinos's right claw? Whenever I hold right-click and press C, it just throws the dino in the left claw.
Edit: Putting this here in case someone searches the discord- I was doing it wrong, and there was a mod (makes it so your dino continuously attacks) interfering with the karkino's grab mechanic. You hold left or right click for each respective claw to pick up dinos. C throws them.

If by mistake you take your chibis you won't see them in your inventory unless you go to cosmetics. If you had the bad luck of using a bed you might have lost them. Search now but on your dinos or storages you will always be able to see them right away after opening them

You will need a lot of females then mass breeding rinse and repeat. If you want the good mutations only breed dinos that don't have mother mutations because limit is 20 the male mutations won't matter

On my single player the world won't move, so if I log out inside a place when I return I will be there because it's s p settings but if you have pve settings enabled that can be a problem. Try leaving the cave and remove the tributes then later you try again

No. I tamed wearing nothing you will just need at least 5 grenades to stun him every time it goes underground. You should be able to put it to sleep in 2 goes just choose a place close to a lot of stones but beware sometimes because of lagg he can kick out out. So basically ark just screwed private servers from being able to get the fear ascended items. Can’t spawn them in can’t add event to servers
