so my tribe mate bought the bobs dlc, and I was trying to spawn the oasisaur on the island for him, but it will not let me, it says "not allowed to spawn on this map" now is it truly not allowed to spawn, or is it becuase i do not own the dlc.

becuase i will just make him admin to spawn it himself if that is the case, but was just hoping to confirm first

ASE events(just the colors) auto-start on singleplayer(servers may as well, can't remember) when the time goes by due to consoles not being able to access the setting until later None should work, the setting is also in the singleplayer menu, bottom of advanced I believe.

You can use Dododex for pre-tame stats, while they're still wild, but as stats do tend to reroll the ASB app is super helpful.

Also make sure you have players with you shooting dragon to force it to land while the players tjat need to survive to get engrams can use pyro and always look up because of fire balls it's 1 hit dead. 😮‍💨 an hour into trying to build at base on ab and I've disconnected around 40 times or so. Lost a set of tek armor, gene scanner, tek binos and the rest of my gear after stepping off a foundation and my jetpack activating as I crash.

If you're on singleplayer, spawns can take up to 30 minutes or longer to equalize and fully be done. You also have to render in stuff if you're not using a prevent hibernation mod on console.

Are there any INI settings to allow the gene scanner to find higher level creatures? on unofficial where dinos have a higher spawn level its nearly pointless to use! if max is level 300 wild and people cant find higher than level 150 creatures no matter their level!

I'm on official and at player level 142 I can find creatures up to 178 iirc (not online rn to check). So it does go beyond 150 with higher character level.

the odd thing about the crash on my end is that its not on SP but on Dedicated server
and its only 1 player that crash the server

and the crash follows that player around
he just moved to another server in the cluster that have been running for months without issue and as soon as he moved there and started breeding it started happening there
and the server he moved from is now running without issues

you just need to keep trying, non-dedi has issues. as long as you are both on steam it should work eventually.
try to join a dedicated server of the same map before hosting/joining the non-dedi, if they don't connect after 10 minutes restart the non-dedi, and make sure any mods that you are using are already subscribed to and downloaded.

On ASE, how do you know if a raptor is an alpha, because I ran into a pack of 3 raptors, they were all the same size and I was able to bola all three, but one had an orange aura, does that mean it is an alpha, I ended up dying so I couldn’t do any further info.

I think orange aura means pack leader so it gets a buff.

You could try slomo commands, but if you're on singleplayer without preventhibernation (either the launch option or a mod) it won't help much, especially since you can't move while slomo is turned on

Since you're on console, mod would be easiest, hopefully you're not on series s as it doesn't run quite as well as the series x and will likely have problems loading anything. It's possible it will affect performance slightly anyway, but at least the x handles it better, and you're not using any mods that are too crazy, like primal chaos.
Search the mod list for hibernation, you'll see a mod called "prevent hibernation" by hacki_van_bane

He was wrong. Changing a game mode from pve to pvp or vise versa does absolutely nothing to levels. Doing a dino wipe deleted the current dinos that were spawned and respawned a different selection. Changing difficulty values is what determines any levels.

If you want a better distribution of higher levels on the story dlcs, you have to use a mod to fix it.
If you want a max wild dino level of 150, your best bet is once again to use a mod, since you do not have access to ini files and the difficulty sliders in the menu are useless.

You can tame lot's of deinos in swamp area just wait for them to open mouth then run to them and feed them kibble place some sleeping bags close and put your dino on passive or it will attack the croc if it hits you. As soon as you feed it run fast render out then return and wait for it to open mouth

Beware that in the end of tek cave there will be a giga probably and lot's of purlovias hidden in the sand keep placing sleeping bahs as you descend. But after you enter boss you can't die or you will lose everything. I would use top rexes or theris with veggie cakes so that they can recover health. You should try to move wit 1 or 2 dinos until they are all safe and in front of gate beware that inside there is a terminal any dino tjat isn't in proximity won't make it to boss and will die

There are some hard coded keys on the numeric pad that prevent that. Just like no matter what you rebind the use key to, if you bind something to E that will also trigger use of item too.

I rebound the t key and it still also triggers "Whistle follow one" if I happen to be looking at a creature at the same time I use it.

But there was plenty of room.
As I understand it, he thought that there was no room or something was in the way, although this was not the case.

that is nuts, on console? most likely it is running out of memory any time you move funny

way, way too many visual mods, mostly dinos. every different type of dino loaded is a hit on memory use

you should typically have no more than a few additional creatures, if they are adding new models/textures. and a structure mod, unless you are careful not to use too many different pieces in any one place

primal nemesis will also be violently incompatible with a lot of those, and just by itself is known to crash consoles

With mods, less is more. Nobody will test one mod with another so conflicts are likely and consoles are limited on RAM.

Series X and PS5 have 16GB for OS, game and graphics. My graphics card alone has that much. Series S has 10GB (I think, going from memory)

Definitely reduce them down to a handful, I run 6 on my servers, all doing different things.

It's not just storage on disk, it's the amount of RAM they use, which is limited on consoles.

Plus if two are doing the same thing, you'll likely get conflicts and probably crashes

Honestly, I amazed it even starts with that many on PS5

I'd also look at when a mod last got an update. If it's not in the last 6 months I'd suspect the mod developer has abandoned them and they aren't guaranteed to keep working each time there is a major update.

Even with just 6 mods, I've had servers refuse to start after an update

Hello, I know I brought up the subject earlier, but has anyone else been struggling with Battle Eye & connecting to servers? I've tried just about every fix I can find or think of...I verified files, reinstalled Battle eye, checked my firewalls, etc. I haven't done a reinstall of the game yet just incase theres something I haven't tried...just kinda at a loss. It was working fine last night, logged to make dinner, came back and couldnt connect to ANY server "You've been kicked by Battle Eye, Reason: "Client Not Responding"" Tried again today and I got it to let me in, but then I dced while transfering servers :/ and I alas am getting same error. Would this be something I submitt a ticket for? I don't want to lose my character preferably....or the Argy someone on the server had given me. (Moved my question here figuring "Bobs with probs" may be a bit more appropriate.)

a bit late, but if you are still looking for information, nondedicated should work. it relies on holepunching (aka router ninja magic) to establish a direct connect between two people that are not in the same LAN. that only works on normally configured networks. a lot of LTE/wireless services will prevent it or act unpredictably. a dedicated server works differently and is generally much less buggy and restrictive gameplay-wise, but needs some manual network setup and may also have issues with some network types. for either, you can use network tunneling software to bypass any network issues and make the game think you are both in the same LAN

if you mean the skin, yes. there is no concept of "glass" or transparency at the physics/collision level, which is probably what charge light is using. i have never seen mention of a different collision channel for glass in ark's code

I read somewhere in the discord that it could be blocked some time ago and wasn't sure if it was true or not. My whole base is built around a charge station, with it being the only source of light besides a light pet. I just didn't want to risk my whole base to test it, because the nameless would spawn as soon as my pet was out of light, regardless of being in the charge station's range or not.

I have no chargelight buff at all near the charge station. Only thing giving me the buff is my light pet. It does seem like the light pet's buff gets blocked as soon as I go behind a wall away from it.

ASE needs a SSD for you to move faster than a ptera flies without crashing on the spot when switching map tiles. used to have fun crashing people with old PCs by putting them on the back of a rock drake

any time the drive cant keep up with world tile loading, the game yeets itself

also the big freeze when exiting caves in some maps. although that is basically due to a bug and can be fixed with a mod 🤔
