I have mods but I wasn't updating any of them as they didn't need any. The mods I have are custom Dino levels, gigantoraptor, crafting skill potion, ezs engram unlocked, awesome spyglass, Dino depot, and no pyromanes on aberration. I had spawn blocker and ark nucleus but I uninstalled them both before I logged in to find the save issue.

I've got 2 friends on ps5 that both downloaded ASA at the same time on different consoles. When they got onto the server, only one of them could use the linked storage. It appears that it may just be an install bug. (Possibly, I have no data to prove this.) My suggestion would be to do a full reinstall and see if that fixes it.

Chars are saved separately from map saves, I think in "localprofiles" instead of SavedArksLocal--it sort of sounds like you have map corruption, so I'd go into both the SavedArksLocal -> Aberration and LocalProfiles and make backups of those files, then rename the "anticorruption.bak" and other anticorruption files to the current save and see if that fixes it

some ppl say installing a new mod, trying to load, then deactivating that mod and trying again can also fix it but I've never tried. always good practice to keep backups of Ark saves after every play session given how incredibly unstable it is

I play on xbox , with the resolution at 1080p I get anywhere between 40 and 70 fps. PlayStation is pretty much the same

memory use by a mod is only vaguely related to it's storage use, especially for mods that are almost all data/code. a cryo mod's important point are how much memory each pod uses when loaded

for dino mods, each unique dino that is visible means it's textures, mesh, sounds, ect have to be loaded into memory. tons of modded dinos inflate memory use

I would have to go back to the crash logs, as there was weird cases of UE4 IDS forcing new characters, leaving the old body unconscious. Everytime I toss out a newly saddled dino with a cryo, the game crashes on single player. Not using any mods. It only does it when you fist puts saddle on a dino, cryo it. Then when you toss it the game crashes. After that crash it works with that dino from then on. Does this with every dino when you first saddle it and cryo it. With no saddle on it works perfect. alienware is a (notoriously trashy) brand, not a specific model or capability. anything for 200$ is probably very old and very incapable of even launching ark. alienware systems also tend to use highly proprietary parts (aka, basically a mutant, all-soldered-components laptop in a box) and are not upgradeable like a normal desktop

i have even seen a few where the software thought it was a laptop and was trying to switch to a nonexistent integrated graphics processor due to the desktop being "on battery" (!?)

Hello, I am currently playing singleplayer and I've spent around 30h trying to find a single Allosaur or Spino. I have AFK'd more hours at various places, killed all dinos there and waited for spawns, did a destroywilddinos various times, still cannot find one. I Increased dino count to 10 and still almost no dinos on the map. I have no mods that change spawns and I'm going insane bc I can't farm the required tributes.

Funny story you'll appreciate. So...the case...this computer was in...had the front fans installed outside of the case nearly flush...apparently against the front bezel (3 x 120mm). I moved the fans INSIDE the case on the front well behind the bezel...now I'm not running at 90c all the time. Literally 20c difference. Why would the factory install the front case fans flush against a bezel.

Sometimes my steam "disconnects" from bobs tall tales. And I'll see 4 selections in the open Ark menu instead of 3 (one being to purchase bobs tales again) what i do is close out steam completely then i reopen and make sure the steam cloud is updated then relaunch ark. If that doesn't work (because sometimes it doesnt) I just reclick the first box (to buy bobs tales) let it take me to the link and it acknowledges I have it. I close Ark. Give it 5 min then relaunch Ark until there are 3 boxes instead of 4

As a paid for creature, the pyromane needs to be returned to original for pve. If pvp has an issue, change it for them only. We paid for the creature that was released, not for a far less effective version of it. Same thing as buying a 3 bedroom house, then on moving day, it's a shed with 2 walls dividing the storage room. That's not what was paid for. Many waited and bought after seeing the use and efficiency in action. Changing the product of sale after purchase is fraud.

I cannot see any surface drop beams on Aberration official PvE Servers - I can see all other drop beams on Aberration, only surface does not show.

I tried every graphics setting for Global Illumination, Shadows, post processing and so on. Turned on and off Light Shafts, Light Bloom, etc. - nothing brings the beams back.

I'm basically unable to get any surface drops, because other people do see them. 2 Tribemates had the same issue, everbody else on the server sees them fine it seems. Any Ideas?

It's nice that there was an endless series of fixes but the most important problem was of course not solved. AGAIN. 5gb for nothing really helpful or necessary.
I only play single player & have had the feeling for years that single players are at the bottom of the food chain. As if nobody is interested in our feedback. The Island hasn't saved any progress for more than 3 weeks, Scorched Earth won't load at all (kicked to the start page, for more than 2 weeks now too). Aberration still flickers just as much as it did before the patches & The Center seems to have several points on the map where you are also simply kicked out of the game without no explainable reason. Why dinos that you PAID for are being nerfed is also a total mystery to me. I don't fight (or compare to/with) other players!! Why do PVE & single player have to be adapted to the circumstances of PVP players? Why do we get patches that don't affect us at all? And why are the really big problems never solved? A game MUST be able to save. And a game MUST also be able to be opened AND played. We paid so much money to be able to continue our ARK Journey & play ASA. First the expensive console, then the game & the DLC's, nothing works right.
And the best thing is: if you think "I'll play the old ARK", forget it!
Nothing has been done there since the release of the Rhynio. Water pipes don't quench thirst, crashes every few meters on ALL maps. To say I'm angry would be an understatement!

Currently I am having issues with crafting items. I can craft on my character. but the engrams in smithy's, Fabricators the only things I can craft are poly, electronics, charge batteres. thats strange, in my sp it was because a mod i had somehow linked a bunch of blueprints to items from that mod, therefore getting rid of them, i'm not too sure why the official thing would happen, maybe corrupted player model data
