like there could still be a problem with the software but this isnt really the fault of the devs it would pretty much be the fault of as example the hardware producers of ur parts which made smth completly different than every other hardware producer which could lead into incompatibility problems about which the devs didnt really thought so u should still report things like that to the devs but its not really the fault of them

Another thing, there is 3 things that are kinda low for ASA specs on this PC
2 changeable, the other holds everything in (Medion uses Office Cases... for whatever reason)
That being my Graphics Card (3060 Ti) and RAM (16GB)

Honestly, I'd think they'd realize that ASA has been on "Mixed" ever since release
A few negative reviews can make a huge difference IF ASA gets hosted with a review bomb, which can very much happen with the state it's in now
I don't want that to happen, I love ARK, and I don't want the game to be shut down
But there has been cases (specifically Team Fortress 2) where review bombs has treated amazingly for the players!

When I install using the in-game mod menu, they give up half way with "Cancelled Installation" on the outside of the mod page

CurseForge installs it normally, but the game doesn't except it once inside the files

on rare occasions, it will crash (I don't know why or how, it just does this, the messages are above Fluff's message I linked before)

IF crashed, the mod will be in "Installed Mods" BUT, it will give the option to update and it's marked as "Broken File"
They don't update, and they actually don't exist, not being in the mod folder of the game itself

ive had that issue before,
cancel them in game if you can,
exit game,
right click game in steam an go to manage, browse local files
from here go to , shootergame\binaries\win64\shootergame
this is where your mods are stored.
if u dont have many , just delete the mods folder
if you have lots you can open the folder inside open folder 83374, this will list all the mods in there folders, delete the folders that contain the mods with issues .
Then in steam go to settings, downloads and press the clear cache button.
Once steam restarts , go in game an download the mods .

you can't breed traits, have to take them out of adults, and put them into non-adults

Traits don't pass on.. you might get mutations if using mutations traits.... but otherwise you have to add the desired traits to any baby

Hey Atomic, just to give you an update, I tried but no dice, was a good try though. I picked up all the Linked storage boxes and placed back down just one. Put in two fully charged batteries in it. It was promising since it allowed me to put the batteries in. Then I waited for it to power up completly. Once powered up I tried to put things in the box, but it did now go through, just like before. I then opened the local inventory to check on the batteries and they were gone. I then placed two new fully charged batteries in the local storage ... these new ones are still there, but still cannot deposit anything in the shared inventory. Ty for the suggestion, wanted to provide you the feedback. 🙂

Update: The extra set of batteries that I put in are now gone as well and still no access to the shared storage.

I don't know if it'll work with a forge, but it works with most things on Ark survival ascended. Try holding RB and it should take off the locking mechanism for the forge so you can put it anywhere

I came across fuel sources being consumed too fast in structures, lamps fireplaces, camp fires, after noticing this I filled a fireplace chock full of wood to see how long the fuel consumption would read, it said 9 minutes of of fuel. I had a discussion with my mom who is the only one who could pay for a 4K TV for Christmas since I don't make enough money to do so myself. singleplayer spawns stuff slowly and only near you, though. dino wipes are extremely counterproductive

I use Awesome Spyglass, Crafting Skill Potion, Configurable Cryopods, Silent Structures, and AP Death Recovery. Not sure if any of those would bug out those spawns. I've seen multiple tuso's, mosausaurs, and etc but not a single jellyfish in either underwater cave or in the ocean in general. Very strange...

When I get a mutation I put it to the side and breed it to the next mutation I get from the blanks. But the mutation stat points aren’t stacking but the mutation number is going up.
I’ve also tried replacing the 1 male with a mutated male to the females to get another mutation and when I do, they say it has 2 mutations but the stat points aren’t showing for both mutations just 1.

Language localizations cause too many problems, and at least the one in mine was pretty cringe last I checked (when ASA launched and it was forced on me)
To give one example they had the word for “back” as in your spine instead of “go back” in the main menu which was hilariously sad

Since all these patches & fixes nothing works anymore. The Island hasn't saved for two weeks now, you repeat the same things every day only to find out that the game hasn't saved when you leave it. Manual saving was taken away from us single players early after the ASA release & now nothing saves at all & this issue has been for weeks! You can't even get to Scorched Earth, when you load the map you're thrown straight to the start page. Also for over a week by the way! Aberration also has problems with correct saving & the graphics are mostly unenjoyable.
What the hell is going on with ARK? I can't play any of my saved games anymore because it never saves or you can't even get to the maps! Apart from that there are still massive crashes. But that's nothing new. I'm really sad. My whole family & I bought the whole game & the DLCs and this is the reward? Wow. Crybaby-Greetings from Berlin! 🦖

If you cannot see the light beacons from supply drops on the surface, this might be why: Under ADVANCED in the bottom left you find "Disable Ambient Insect VFX". Turn that motherfucker OFF. This worked for me after trying everything else.

I got on when center came out and stopped because of the amount of bugs and glitches on every map since then. Aba is the worse one and I love that map the most atm.

Also I had that problem with the lost connection/timeout on ASA center when it came out and there was nothing I could find to fix it. Think I even asked about it on here and either I didn't get an answer or the options I got on trying to fix it didn't work.

Pretty much, that's why I stopped playing ASA because of that timout/lost connection, also can't even play SP because my game just freezes at character menu, and that has been happening since ASA been out. So I pretty much bought ASA for nothing, can't play it because of all of these bugs/glitches, the timeout/lost connection etc.

If someone found a solution to the lost connection/timeout that actually works/fixes, then that would be great.

Well, hope you got other games to play because that won't happen probably for a long while, if they are focusing in adding the updated maps rn then that would be finish by next year, just sucks that aba map still has all of the weird terrain where you get stuck every step you take.

The issue I've been having is a massive black texture that is currently stretched over the bottom of the red zone in Aberration. I tried relogging both above and below this texture with neither of them working.

Hello, anybody else had the problem, that you can't cryo baby's? I've hatched a Gigantopithecus pair of embryos, froze them and raised them later with my Gigantoraptor. hello, I have a small problem. I had set up a game.ini and a gameusersettings a while back to run on Ark:ASA The Island When if first came out, i was playing on a rented server but choose to stop playing becasue i didn't want to pay to play. I have since gotten a server of my own and set up the island, scorched earth, and the center and was playing stuff on my laptop while running things on my server. Current that laptop died a horrible death and they were unable to use my backup of it to reimage this new laptop /facepalm. So, now that I am strting up playing again - i have lost my old INI files, plus i am playing single player atm since I have not set up the new map or updated the old maps. Does anyone have a pair of the ini files that does stacking, set player difficulty and such that I could get a copy of so I can have a starting point - i am having some issues with confusion due to health reason and could really use a hand 🙂 thanks

So about 26,49 theres a massive hole in the tree at the top of the map and it leads into a crator of a hole in the tree/mountain. is this technically in the map and going to get fixed? theres a bunch of dinos that spawn in here and its a pain when tracking them only to realize its in the wall and you cant get it without an excesive travel. i put foundations in there to block spawns to help the server out but wasnt sure if there was any news about this being fixed or could i actually build a base in here?

me and my brother - on different PCs with different specs will crash on the same position when leaving our base. its not our PCs. its the game. it will crash, always on the same spot.
now how are we supposed to get back into base safe and our dinos too? will there be offline protection for players and dinos on official PVE servers? because i know people were able to kill you when you were offline in some way.
and now im dead and when im on the way to get my stuff back (gear and chibi) it now crashes even inside the base. do people test the updates?

Crashing every 5 seconds I log into ark this is crazy I almost never crash even on ark and now I can't even get into the server

My guess is that it can't - it's techincally not a farmed resource, it's a pickup.

I was on a official server earlier, logged off, game had a patch. I just logged in again after patch and now I've crashed 3 times in a row

My tribe mate can't see my custom cosmetic structure skin that I download separately from the mods we use on the server.
Is there something that needs to be done server/client side for them to see it?
