in general all that does in a modern GPU is make it use more power for (almost) no benefit, though. traditional overclocking is long, long dead

your CPU is crippled and the GPU is walking slowly so it can keep up, by the look of it. it is running full speed or close, but the 80% (does it fluctuate?) load means it is not getting work all the time

if it was consistently not getting full workloads, it would just downclock itself to try and push to 100% load, more efficient

with modded frame generation i was running 60 fps no problem on medium settings, just used to crash a lot but so did 40 series users. The gpu does fluctuate up and down to 90% and down to 70%, i could take out the 2 slow rams and try that way

frame gen on a lower end card and from low framerates is going to be more trouble than it is worth, usually. huge visual quality loss, and less smooth input

they are all optional, at least. hardware just needs a few gens to catch up tro "next gen" games. ASA is definitely designed for people to grow into, though

it cant hurt to test it. you may take a performance hit from the lower capacity in ASA, but in any CPU-limited program where you dont, you should see huge gains

the only way accounts on platforms with even the most basic security in place get "hacked" in the modern internet is via phishing

there was a very short lived exploit that allowed a hacker to impersonate a steam account for the game and get access to someone else's character, but that did not get them into the actual steam account. if any such exploit is discovered again, the entire server network will be shut off within hours

upload and download is the only way to transfer. make a backup of your save first, try not to crash mid-transfer

you cant directly transfer without both maps running at once, which is impossible for obvious reasons in singleplayer, and direct transfers are often funky and crash-prone anyway

Yes and no. The felis mod update at the time was causing issues for the server. But we are still crashing a lot but its client now not server crash. Been waiting on more wildcard updates before reinstalling the felis mod.

I dont think there is a setting you can change yourself that would decrease the demolish speed. Usually the time for demolishing depends on the structure for example a cliff plat typically takes 3-5x longer than a ceiling. However if you ever play on your own server or in singleplayer there should be an ini setting that allows you to increase or decrease the demolish speed for the whole server/world (but only for everyone at the same time)

Our base is now infested with nameless, everytime we return from a trip, nameless are spawning at our base. We've never had this issue before. We have multiple bulbdogs and plant species z crops. I'm having to flashbang them with the plant species z fruit. Any ideas how to irradicate them? We've never had them here, and its been 3 days.

How do u guys set up the robot for harvesting resources and placing them into vault/dedi/box?
I set my robot for harvesting metal and stone since i live in blue zone. I placed around some walls so he cannot escape the area but its not the issue. The issue is that he farms so much that he gets encumbered and then he cant go home. I tried to set up only 1 stack in vault and box but still he is farming more than he can carry. Is there something i am missing?

typically having "anti"virus installed is an issue in general. i have seen norton and another prevent mod installs, best solution is to delete them

Do you see light pillars around the AB cave drops? A lot of people don't and the drops are there, but only the drop 'box' bit, no light beam. Like, hardmode for drop running if you got that bug.

as a warning, that disables all limits on VRAM allocation, very bad idea. it will cripple the game if you dont have more physical VRAM that it could ever use under any conditions. a 16GB+ GPU

yeah, it helps if you want to exceed the values that it is set to by the texture quality setting, but you still need to actually have the memory you are telling it to use. setting it to 10000 or something if you have a 12GB GPU would likely work well, leaves some for actual processing

incase u want to farm lvls i would recommend farming xp broth and run gamma spider with it u should usually get around 2 million(per gamma spider) on 1x with the broth

Yes, you need to start from a reasonable rate to begin with. You cant go from 20fps and expect it to look amazing at 40. Might need to turn down some settings to get the non-frame gen rates up and then turn it on.

The game doesn't save on The Island since Release of Aberration, when loading Scorched Earth you're thrown straight to the Dashboard of your Xbox and generally there are still heavy crashes as soon as you open your own inventory or that of a dinosaur or cupboard. Really fun. Not.

Hey guys, anyone having issues while trying to store anything inside a Linked Storage Box? No matter what I do I cannot store anything inside it. I am on PC, the box is all powered up, I own Bob DLC and I was the one that built and placed the Linked Storage box. Tried multiple times with client restarts, after server restarts and nothing works. People on xbox are reporting to double tap A, but thaty does not apply to PC and even so it is not a fix, you need to keep trying to work for a single time, then you are back into the same issue again.

Because Xbox DLC Licensing is monitored online when your offline you lose that license to it. So you don't get access to your DLC so you must be online to have full access which it is a shame that microsoft has that system.

Anyone else having issues with wireless crafting? It's saying I have no ingots when I clearly have over a thousand. I'm on Aberration Official PvE. Everything else seems to work. It just won't read the metal in any crafting stations. Nothing is set to prevent wireless crafting. All other resources show up just not the metal. I also tried clearing resource type on the dedicated storage and re adding it and no go.

Picking up the crafting station and then putting it back down fixed the issue. But weird it only was only bugged out with metal.

not even a bob, I have been playing for about four years. I had a problem on ase where my world would save but my character would be wiped and started as a new one in single player. This has now happened in asa, and before you tell me to use the force join tribe command the last time I did my entire world was wiped. I have killed the megapithicus and about to kill the broodmother, I log on today and this happened. To put it simple, I have too much progress to just delete the world and start over on a new character. If someone would help me that would be great, thank you.

do you know how to locate ark's savefiles? the folder has 3 .ark files; world file with the mapname, a tribe file, and a player profile file, and a .bak version of each that is a previous save. you can copy and rename them to replace the current save with the backup

you can set it to finer values with the r.Streaming.PoolSize command. setting it to 0 allows unlimited use, but will cripple the game if you dont physically have enough. maybe try 8-10,000 MB

My TV does this too and the setting on mine to fix it is called "Pic Size" on the remote control - but the setting is not in the settings menu popup on the TV itself. So check the TV's remote too if you still have the original remote.

if it would be a software bug there would be more player with this problem its probably a driver problem, incompatabilty problems cause as a example u are using hardware which nobody else is using, connection problems with the install servers or other problems which arent related to the game itself
if the software would be the problem a simple file check would be enough to fix it

I know you posted this hours ago. But I may have a solution for you. Pick up your storage box and place it back down. When placed put new batteries in it. Do this one at a time for all linked boxes. When finished and all have booted back up you should be able to access them.

there is a setting on steam with which u can check ur game files if there are any corrupted or missing files and if there are steam is just going to reinstall them back cant really describe u where cause my steam is on german but there should be plenty of yt tutorials on how u check ur game files on steam
