"75" and "72" are absolutely not resolutions 🤔 do you mean resolution scale? that still depends on your actual resolution; your monitor, and what the game is set to. and what is "your 4TB storage"? if it is a hard drive, that is killing the game. a 5950X is not a gaming CPU at all, but it should not be hurting ark unless you are using a very outdated windows version that is not dual CCD aware

Nothing wrong with a 5950, it’s way more powerful than Ark needs. Make sure you have DLSS enabled.

computer shops say a lot of shit, especially when it gets you to buy something that costs 300$ more than the actual best option. ASA needs to be installed on a SSD, even says that in the system requirements.

a hard drive is about 2% as fast as the game needs to not die in a fire every time you move slightly

as for the problems with that CPU, it should not really be bad, but the zen3 R9s are effectively a pair of CPUs. that is functionally dual 8-core R7s connected together, with a significant performance penalty for anything using both units ("CCDs") at once. newer windows versions should prioritize keeping programs on the faster CCD until it is full, but if it is not, you can get constant lag spikes and stuttering. also significantly slower for most games than a 5800X3D or 5700X3D due to the smaller cache (32MB per CCD, vs 96)

it is mainly for professional work that can actually utilize 16 cores. basically zero games can. the "be reasonably good at everything" option instead of really good at one thing

Thats not how interval multiplier works. Increasing feeding intervals gonna make it slower. If setting says interval you need to lower it to make it faster, if its says speed multiplier you need to increase it

To make passive taming faster you need reduce interval and increase taming speed. And use taming food it prefers ofc

bogus out of video memory errors are a really common sign your CPU is dying and producing corrupt data, it is a rampant issue with 14900ks due to unsafe motherboard stock power config, intel has required manufacturers to release fixed firmware updates. if yours has not, you can manually configure it to safe levels

but that was a few months ago, it may be permanently damaged by now. should still stop using it and patch it asap

Hi everyone ! This may have been addressed already but is there something I can do on the center map to allow flyer carry on pve? I've marked the setting saved the setting and when I load in I get a message that looks like the picture and the "allow flyer carry pve is set to false. I can change the setting in single player and pick stuff up just not nondedicated. I do not want pvp on our map cause I'd be devastated if one of my dinos died because we accidentally killed it. I wish they would fix the train and sound. Its totally goofs up the sound in the area surround the train once you make you make it go. Like getting on and off it doesnt do anything, but once you drive it even an inch, the area because super scuffed. You can fix it by relogging in (possibly leaving render too?) but it just comes back the moment you use it.

Yeah... this usually happens when theres a rollback where during the rollback period, you server transfer. Your character is duped on both servers. Not sure of other ways to replicate it. Its harder to retrieve your own tribe as a solo player, unfortunately 🫠

but yeah you have like a 7% chance at a mutation at first, and its rng where that muta show up

after the line has 20 mutations that chance gets cut in half for any mutation, since the males with 20 mutations cant have anymore mutated babies

so only the females are giving you a chance for mutations

assuming you have clean females

Ok there is hope! Just to confirm a couple things. You are currently on single player right? The other thing is are you ok with using a couple commands to retrieve your belongings?

If it’s single player or an unofficial nitrado map you are on that you own or have admin access on then I can go over a few commands that will help you but unfortunately it sounds like the old character is gone and everything is tied to it but with the commands you can claim everything to your new character as long as you have admin access.

Ok so you will have to go back to your structures and tames and once you are in the area you will want to go into the commands section and type in “admincheat givetomeaoe 5000” the 5000 is a radius around your character which will be claim everything to you within the range.

ASA is still coming out with the ASE maps (3/12 so far), it has tons of QOL stuff and general extra content. not to mention console modding, crossplay,
both are on gamepass if you want to test them tho

also, ASE won't leave your library even if you get it. its extremely uncommon for that to happen. there are only a few games I know of that have been removed from people's library after being bought. (those were steam tho)

Hi everyone ! This may have been addressed already but is there something I can do on the center map to allow flyer carry on pve? I've marked the setting saved the setting and when I load in I get a message that looks like the picture and the "allow flyer carry pve is set to false. I can change the setting in single player and pick stuff up just not nondedicated. I do not want pvp on our map cause I'd be devastated if one of my dinos died because we accidentally killed it. I've googled and tried all sorts of commands but nothing works. I've changed it on previous maps with no problem just the center is having this issue. that sounds more right lol. i have not heard of any issues reported without it in general. did you install it cleanly with DDU? if it crashes running anything but ark, i can send you some info on how to troubleshoot it. unstable GPUs can be caused by a lot of stuff, most commonly power supply and memory issues, as well as the GPU itself

That's what happens when you breed. You breed until they get the stats youw ant.

I have argys with wild max levels 150. Bred up to over lvl 30. Over 60 points into melee and 20 mutations stacked into melee, imprinted and not hitting 700 lol

My melee STATS are like 37. with 670 PERCENT melee

Stat point 37 in general is not great for a flyer. So 670 is definitely boosted within server rates or something.

Yea that's probably it. I don't control any of the mods, I started playing with a few people in an unofficial server. 400% in other servers might be good then. I haven't actually played official before

yes, cosmetic mods are entirely clientside. you cant even buy mods for a server anyway
