I have a 1tb external hard drive plus the xbox its self is only 80% full i have cleared cache uninstalled reinstalled uninstalled all mods and it keeps happening now i am playing it on cloud gaming and it is still happening. But thanks please let me know if they find anything.

Is there any way to tell what it might be? Single works fine so far... server crashed about a 20 times it feels like, while server owner and I worked to recover my stuff. She gave me admin commands to try and slowly fly and prevent death as when I finally got it to load I died. Took me about 1 hours with constant crashes and she ended up having to steal my dinos and stuff off my body to get it all back to me. It's so weird

I have a 6950XT, 78003XD, 32GB DDR 5 RAM, but can’t play the game at a stable 60fps with framegen + FSR at 1440p. Low settings too. Matter of fact, its not even stable on 1080p! I turn off the clouds and fog too. How can I fix this?

that would set deprecated non-lumen raytracing, from what i have seen. ASA does something weird if you try to set it to disabled or screenspace

the performance difference was tiny in my testing

try setting r.ScreenPercentage.Mode in the console to 0, or 1. and r.ScreenPercentage 75, see how quality and performance compares. that should switch between TSR and FSR and avoid it not working, which seems to happen via the settings menu sometimes

or set it to 66 for roughly 1080p

i am working on a custom "cosmetic" mod that will give final control of graphics and some better-tuned presets than the commands people commonly used, though.. found some interesting stuff that improves cloud performance without deleting them for example

I've managed to fix this by having them uninstall/reinstall mods, restart game, then having the host kill the player, and do a dinowipe before they try to join again. There might be some weird issue with a mod that's not allowing them to stay on, or ark is being ark.

You're not able to connect to any unofficial servers at all? Make sure.
If it is an issue connecting to your friend, or only non-dedicated, then it is probably an issue with their connection and not yours.
If this happens on all unofficial, then you will know you need to start troubleshooting your network.

I think chances are high this is an issue with their connection and not yours. For non-dedicated to work it often requires port forwarding and/or firewall rule changes. Most people that setup non-dedicated don't do that and rely on UPNP which does not always work.

Yep CGNAT is totally possible too. You just wont be able to connect if that is the case. My own ISP uses CGNAT, and it is extra common if your ISP is also a phone company or something.

So, they will need to find out their public IP. If they are not behind a CGNAT you can find this easily, you can do some website like whatismyip and it will tell you. Don't post it here though.
Then open command prompt and use ping ip. If it is a CGNAT it will likely fail right away. If there is any response then we can be sure that their router is responding to pings, which isn't entirely uncommon. If it times out we can check something else.

Yea so that could be CGNAT or just router not responding to pings.
I would recommend setting router to respond to pings because it can help debug some stuff like this, especially if you are not sure whether it is a CGNAT or not.
Most routers should have that setting.
Also is their ISP one of the big ones? Most of those wont have CGNAT. But say Starlink or T-Mobile, Verizon, etc, etc all will be behind CGNAT.

Yes this sounds very likely. I think we should assume CGNAT considering that.
There are good ways around CGNAT but generally it's just using a VPN, or connecting over IPv6 instead.
If you both have this kind of connection then a typical VPN setup wont help you connect to eachother, but it will at least help you connect to another server to play on together.

I understand now why you thought to try Hamachi. It could work, to connect to eachother, but personally I don't know about this. If it was me I would set up an actual wireguard VPN and go from there, but Hamachi works in a similar way if you can get it configured properly.

I think the problem with Hamachi would be, at least one of you probably still needs an open NAT.
If you are able to connect to eachother through Hamachi via IPv6 this could solve all NAT issues.

Yea if I guess it is because they are also behind CGNAT.
When they checked ip on whatismyip did it show also an IPv6 address? If so, I would try connecting with that if Hamachi allows it. IPv6 does not use NAT and so it should just work.
If not I don't think you will get it working easily. One of you has to get through the others NAT.

If your ISP offers IPv6 then it's worth having for sure, because you can use it to get past some of these NAT issues.
But short of that, I think you are kind of left to setting up a VPN and you both connect to it, or actually both just playing on a server instead of non-dedi.

If you are connected to each other in hamachi through the IPv6 you should be able to play non-dedi together now.
In this scenario, if they do not have IPv6 they will be connecting through Hamachi's IPv4-IPv6 tunnel I believe.
So long as the connection is over your IPv6 Hamachi should work to punch through your NAT, but your friend may need to connect to you instead of other way around.

Yea I believe Ark server listens only on IPv4.
I think your network config is mostly okay now, if you have a public IPv6 and connected to eachother through hamachi. But you must get Hamachi to assign a IPv4 peer address, I'm not familiar enough with it to say how.
Normal VPN setup there is no issue using IPv6 for endpoint and IPv4 for peer address. So Hamachi should be able to.

Ahhh right.
-nobattleeye is the command line to disable it for client completely but it shouldn't be on or even available in the first place for your platform. So hopefully not an actual issue.
Not sure the best way to add command line args for that platform if it is needed.

Anyone else finding it difficult to find rocks to just pick up off the ground in the northern “easy” spawn? There are tons of rocks that look like you can pick them up, but I have yet to find one. Center map

tutorial says Launch SteamCMD on your host and use it to download the server files. Replace <install_dir> with the full path to the folder created in Step 2. i dont see a "install_dir" in my folders that i downloaded the steamcmd thing with

You don't need to use the force_install_dir unless you are setting up multiple servers.

You may have some trouble, some things you can't follow step by step, but only to give good overview. Windows is generally easier than linux, it is harder to mess up but still not so straight forward.
You do need all the steamcmd setup except for the force_install_dir.
But for more I think #unofficial-setup-help is better if you can't get it working.

On a dedicated server with mods, and on single player game with no mods except glass wall we have no cutout skins on left side anymore. Ded is on Center SP is on Island where I do show existing placed glass wall cosmetic. Any fix ideas?

the only reason custom cosmetics won't show in singleplayer is if they are broken or they failed to install make sure you go through and update them since they don't automatically, then restart the game to load them in.

Sorry should have come back to say we just have to have a bunch of beds down and bed travel each time to get them to show up, the cosmetics would show up the cutouts did not.
