It depends what compasny your gpu is from. Normally they keep an actuve control panel in your hidden background programs that show in your taskbar section on the right if you click the arrow. You can open their control panel or program from there, and then ask it to verify you have the latest drivers

Mods with items that have on/off function will mess your game up if you try to place those items.
They're the only thing I have trouble with.

I would not pay too much attention to the ping numbers.

I host my own server. It sits about 1m away from the PC I game on and Ark tells me the ping time is 80ms.

The same server also hosts Minecraft worlds and it tells me my ping is 5ms.

So I've got a problem that makes the game pretty much unplayable for me. Whenever I'm walking/running/swiming/mounted I get lag spikes? Like if I'm just walking around once every id say 15 seconds the screen just freezes for a second then goes back. I've tried lowering my settings to low, raising them, messing with individual settings, lowering my resolution, restarting my pc, restarting the game after each setting change. I just built a brand new pc so all my drivers are up to date (and brand new). Other games play just fine, no stutters or anything.
I can get 100+ FPS on the game on High Settings but just those spikes make it unbearable. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd LOVE to be able to play this game again.

I can't really spot any specific timing when the spikes are happening. The fps goes from 100 to 60 then back up to 100 after the spike. The cpu and gpu usage stays pretty much the same throughout the times that I've had it open, they don't seem to dip or rise when it's spiking

the thing is we tamed our raptors not on original way, we stole the baby, killed the mom and imprinted it with a gigantoraptor, since the new update the mod doesnt work correctly anymore on the normal way, because when we go to the nest, the baby doesnt react.

I don't think there is a set time stuff to respawn. Like I use carno island for my rex hunting and by the time I make a full circle around while killing things, stuff is respawned

pretty sure it's the same as everything else, the only thing that changes is the chance. The more wild dinos (especially rexes) that you kill, the more likely a high level rex is going to replace a spawn slot

As for the darts and arrows, it depends on the quality of your weapon. The torpor scales with damage, a 300% dmg bow is equal to a 150% dmg crossbow which is equal to a 100% dmg tranq rifle in terms of torpor per projectile (crossbow will give you the most bang for your buck, super cheap but also effective) (never use compound bows for taming)
So, if you have an ascendant 200% damage crossbow, use that. If you only have access to 100% primitives, use either crossbow or longneck, depending on whether you wanna spend extra on the darts

Maybe try a server manager to set the files up for you, i use HaruHost and can set up a server so quickly, it also has options to add exceptions in your firewall for the ports etc.

Troodon taming is ranked #1 most annoying bugged taming in Ark. Simetimes they just wont attack the baby even when its night time. You need to try and place yourself behind the baby and hope the troodon bite aoe kills it and increases taming.

Therizinos are far better than rexes for dragon, because they take less damage from the fire

they're also a tad more forgiving on imprints, if you have the gigaraptor mod enabled or have a mate-boosted procoptodon pair

I need someone to help me ASAP so after the crashed on the 11th after I was finally able to get back on my friends privately hosted server. It was like I was rolled back to weeks possibly months prior I lost tames equipment etc. I was told to uninstall mods and reinstall them so l did. My friend then did backup saves all the way back to then 10th of March and still nothing came back

I mean, if you already tried back up saves, I would guess the next best thing would be to just spawn back in the things you had before, it doesn't sound like there a whole lot you can do there. I don't really get how uninstalling and reinstalling mods would fix it- if it was a mod that didn't load properly, what's gone is gone, that's just how mods be, it deletes anything it adds from the game files if it didn't load properly. If it was a server issue and the file with your data in particular corrupted, that just sounds like bad luck. I would just spawn back in the things you had, and if you're really against that I guess start from scratch. Sorry you got Ark-ed-

Putting this here again because it's actually irritating I haven't been able to log on to the island for over 3 weeks now my singleplayer server crashes upon loading in and if not instantly it will crash when i move 3 feet ish away from where i spawned. Removing all of my selected mods seems to fix it but since I use them to spice up my vanilla playstyle I don't intend to remove them. After uninatalling all of my mods and adding them back only then will I be able to play unil i log off in which I will be unable to log back in. I have tried everything from removing and implementing them again, which worked a bit but then after logging off again repeats and after this update I have just given up and deleted my singleplayer and it still doesn't solve it. I can't seem to have this issue with modded maps although I haven't progressed far enough to confirm this. Please look into this asap please I have practically been unable to play for 3 weeks straight and have to spend 2-3 hours reinstalling all mods for 1 session of game play. Please reply to this if anyone else is having this issue just so I know it's a game issue and not an internet problem ect. I am on Playstation and use various mods that are vanilla based.

Anyone has a weird bug while trying to tame a tuso ? Wild tuso does not want to grab my tame, so impossible to tame it. And he does not even attack, but he keeps following me. He rushes at me as if he wanted to attack, and when at melee range, he just stops and do nothing. I tried attacking him, de-render the zone and coming back, luring him at the deepest possible point in the ocean, nothing seems to work, he just does not attack or grabs my tame...

yeah, as a bonus if you don't feed it food the hunger will also carry on to the next time you knock it out! make sure it has no food it can eat in its inventory that it can use to replenish food

Sometimes I like to simply knock dinos out twice instead of feeding them narcotics

Is their no way to see what stats are high or low for tamed Dino’s? Or should I only care abt wild? The way I’m thinking is , even if a stat was good wild. Can’t it change and be worst tamed? Like example melee has 30 points but tamed it only has 33 would that not be considered bad

High wild means it could be high tamed if you get a lucky roll. All that matters is a high base, which is the stat right after taming

So when it comes to the stat increase from taming it (due to the extra levels ofc) is it based off chance how much the tamed creature gets in points? Or is it a guarantee increase of a certain amount

I'll try a turtle, but it definitly should grab a megalodon, I even used to tame tusos with mosasaurs and it grabbed mosas, only basilos are immune to the grab

The stats given from taming are chance based and there’s no way to know until after it’s tamed, the more levels you get from taming effectiveness the more likely you’ll get good stats

If you’re super unlucky you could get a 224 with 35 melee from a wild 150 with 30, but on average you’ll get the amount of levels given from taming effectiveness divided by the amount of stats that can be leveled

Hello everyone! I have an issue that i want to fix as quick as possible and safe in the same time, my problem it's not with the primal fear, my mods and primal fear are working very well, my problem is not with any kind of mod, is literally the game, idk why, but in my singleplayer world dinos does not spawn, i have made some changes like 1 year ago, i copy pasted some settings for primal fear and the only dinos that it's spawning is dodos, no parasaurs, no triceratops, carnotaurus or rexes, only dodos, i've tried to fix it with destroywilddinos and then flying around the map to see if dinos will spawn and there are no dinos in any biome, only dodos, if i play with mods creatures from primal fear or any other mods will spawn without a problem, but i also want to tame a normal rex or triceratops, and i don't know what to do, i've tried to verify my files from steam, i've tried to reinstall the game many times but i have the same problem with or without the mods, if anyone knows what am i supposed to do, please help me i wanna play but i don't like it like that
