I have to keep global ilumination quality at medium. If I use any other setting such as low, high, or even epic then I get these weird fuzzy lines around my character and in front of him. Even on the water. So it makes the game look terrible. Not sure why medium works so well. I have also tried every setting on shadows. Low, medium, high, and epic and still have the shadow issue. Would rather not remove them entirely. I think I tried that once and they still flickered. I think its the lumen system or w/e it's called 🤷 I have a newer PC. Its not high end by any means as I only have a 4060 in it but the game runs so smooth believe it or not and I get a steady 50-60 FPS

I’m playing single player and I’m looking for a high level dire bear, I’ve set difficulty to 6 and I’ve killed loads of dinos in hope a high level dire bear spawns. Got told that because of single player that animals only spawn when your in render distance. Is the only solution just to fly around the redwoods for ages looking for a high level spawn?

Anyone else on Xbox have severe audio issues when using party chat and playing this game? For example, try talking when you open a dino gate. 80% of the time you'll become a static robot and have to reset your controller, unplug, etc. it's infuriating and causing wear on our accessories. A corner/wall might prevent it from opening in 1 of the directions, so try the middle of 1 side of walls. Or no walls "touching", only ceilings.

Hey, so I’m playing SP on PC, max difficulty with max Dino levels set at 150. I’m trying to run cave loot drops on the western Cavern of Lost Faith cave. I cleared it yesterday, left for at least an hour and half, and came back to run drops…checked ALL the spawns, only got one crate that respawned. I waited around for a bit inside as well as up on the surface to see if they’d spawn in, but still nothing…am I missing something?

I've checked all 13 spawns that were on the map/in the video multiple times, so as long as that's up to date, then I've checked them all...I'm guessing the "crack right beside the artifact" is one of the spawns in the water around the artifact, which I did check all of those

@tough mulch so someting I just did in the last 45 minutes or so was keep going back to the entrance of the cave or up to the surface and wait a couple minutes then go back through the cave and check the spawns. Nearly each time I did that, I found one more loot crate, and i just found my third one. I'm certain I waited at least 90 minutes before going back to initially run it the 2nd time, but maybe I need to wait longer? I'm not sure...

Also, does anyone know of good PVE servers? I want to complete the game/do the boss fights and I've seen from reddit posts that SP is pretty buggy so idk if I want to keep struggling through questioning if everything is a bug or intentional

could be bugged. i think its 45mim for the crates to reapwn and you have to not be in the area. about the server. def check out "The Hidden Leaf". its one of the only few populated server rn and almost all players here rn are fairly new. server peaks at 8-12 which is impressive rn but the admins is very helpful and puts up alot of effort so i can see. i too joined here like a week ago. alot of friendly people and events.

Sometimes if a ceiling is close by to the hatchery and you have a lot of lag on server I’ve seen eggs lag to the top of ceilings before too. Not sure if that may be happening. But if they do, they may be away from ac’s and then despawn due to low egg hp.

Anyone else feel like the spawns are off a bit on officials? I'm on what feels to be a dead server and dinos are hard to find. But yet where we've built our base it's impossible to do anything because dinos just keep spawning and spawning even after we've killed them or ran them away.

For reference we are currently built in the glacier on the boarder of tropic and snow biome. Even had 2 alpha carnos back to back. But anywhere not at our base dinos are scarce.

After I exited my non-dedicated server, I loaded it back up again. When I loaded in from where I left off, I notice some of my stuff were missing. Parachute, bola's, etc. So obviously its one of my mods that needs to update or something. So I backed out, and so I updated the ones that need to be updated. After that, I loaded the server again. And my stuff we're still missing. So I exited the server again. And looked at my Activated mods, just to find out, all of my Activated mods had changed back to available mods. Is there any way I can fix this problem? I had some dinos, buildings, reusables, etc. Now I'm scared to Activated the mods I had before. Then it might reset everything? Hopefully this makes sense, and hopefully there's a way to fix this?

Yeah there’s supposed to be a lot of spawns in caves, usually in big groups

Swamp cave usually has groups of like 5-10 spiders, 3/4 snakes and a few arthro plus like 20 plus bugs

It could be the unofficial you’re on has a raised cap so it’s spawning more

Hi all, quick question but does anyone know how loot cave spawns work? Essentially i've cleared the Artifact of the Strong cave and foundationed to block creature spawns but left gaps for the drops to spawn in but none are spawning. I'm aware i've deffo blocked a couple of the loot drops but some of them don't have any foundations anywhere near them and they still aren't spawning. This is on a private server btw with mostly vanilla settings.

It's because Steam is kind of a pain in the ass about showing a non-dedi session on ASE. It's usually the reason people end up renting/running a server.

You can try having your friend connect direct, by using your IP:PORT information if you're hosting, but that gets a little technical. You can also try having them join from your friends list -- this can work if both PCs are decent and there's few/no mods involved. But that's all I can think of to try, outside of getting a dedicated server or playing on someone's unofficial server. There's tons of free ones.

Open ur map by tapping 2x m quick, it will open a big map, if you see other stuff appearing else than ur char, click on all of them they will now be showing on ur in game screen, now look at each one of them and force disable them by holding ur reload button.

on the mod download page on main menu, if you go to filter mods by category theres a new category called "custom cosmetics"

it's empty though, guess the developer of the mods havent uploaded them yet
