Hydo - that's a bug they're "aware of" but haven't fixed yet

Time whale - also, when you're doing the manticore, there's an explorer note in that arena - don't forget to grab it!

If you put stimberries in your rex, you can forcefeed the rex and keep its torpor under control. Also, if you have stat food for stamina, you can forcefeed the rex that, too, and it'll help with stamina control... stamina brews don't help tames, though

The idea is to have enough rexes so that you're doing enough damage that you don't have to spend three days killing the manticore 😄

If you are playing single player or renting/running your own server and dont want to mess with command lines etc, you can leave the Winter Wonderland mod installed and running if you don't mind it running past the close of the event on official. Wait for the patch where they integrate all the mod elements in to the game and then you can uninstall it/remove it.

Just curious are Devs going to address inventory game crashes doesn't matter what inventory self,Dino,vault,fridge,Cryo fridge,smithy, forge, fabricator replicator, let's just say all inventories to save the extra lines.

Id like to add bosses causing game crashes and server crashes losing everything in the process. Also dragon not landing only so much you can do with a pump shotty when he leaves and reenters mesh.

That's interesting because the titanoboa doesn't have a tick box in the dossier menu so if it is required maybe it isn't 1:1 with the achievement and it might already recognise my rhynio tames for that purpose

If I don't get the achievement after taming the other two I have left (tapejara and titanoboa) then I'll probably submit the rhynio thing as a bug report. For the time being I'm still open to hearing ideas. I've tried riding the bronto when the rhynio hatched and I've tried using a bronto I release from a cryopod (so it had me as the owner noted by its name). Neither worked

No I'm aware of that I mentioned that earlier myself, "like how you have to be nearby knockout tames when they wake up for it to recognise it." My issue is with the rhyniognatha, which is tamed by imprinting on the baby and therefore doesn't count

The three tames I have left to do are the tapejara, which I expect will have no issues, the rhyniognatha, which the game refuses to recognise no matter how many I tame, and the titanoboa, which the dossier menu doesn't consider tameable but might still be required

Update on the Master Zoologist achievement: I tamed a tapejara and I got it, so that means the titanoboa is not required, and either the rhynio isn't either or the achievement still tracks them when the dossiers don't. try to cryopod the dino (also check it does not have Leech) and alternatively de render it. Sometimes you cant use / ride a dino randomly. It needs to be reset. I had a spino inside a building do this , had to be wistled to follow outside before we could use it

Common strategy for pvp is using shotguns, cactus broth, med brew, something to shoot orbs, and a lot of shotgun shells. for tames I've seen megalosaurus work well, rock drakes can work as more of a tame you ride, stegos can be good due to high hp and stances

So on official PVE I went and got all the notes done finally besides the last 3 in the tek cave which I plan on doing this weekend right…. So I’m trying to test some stuff out so I went into single player on official settings and started doing some testing since it shows damage numbers and I didn’t have to risk anything etc….
I go back into PVEoffical and almost all of my notes are locked like I didn’t get them. Fog of war was over my map again so I went to a close note and the box was closed, the name popped up instead of it being “????” Or whatever so I walked over it and the normal pop up and npc voice over started like I never got the note however I did not revive any xp buff either, the note then showed up in my notes but still everything was locked… so did that screw me over or do you think I’ll get my extra lvls when I get the last 3?

That sounds like your PlayerLocalData.arkprofile disappeared. You didn't get the exp when recollecting because your character already had it (saved in the character file) but the stuff that is carried over between characters was missing, like knowing the note contents. The +10 levels is per character, so I think your progress there is all the same as before. Also, by the way Tek Cave has four notes. Three in the Hall of History and one in the boss room

Well, first problem i had was my cpu wasn't able to handle it so my gpu was constantly hanging because it seems to be having some crazy cpu requirements, i bought the 5600X3D and now my game was working but i was crashing often and told to try disabling certain stuff, what worked was after disabling foliage interactions i haven't crashed since, so yeah that's how i fixed my game

I have 50 fps on medium with high shadows and global illumination in 1080p, dawn, dusk drops to 20 sometimes but rarely even with 2060 12gb and it seems to be doing quite well at these setings.

also 5600X3D seems to be going crazy on temps no matter what i do, i have to keep the cpu fan running at full power in order to keep it to 70 degrees, performance mode let's it hit 90 degrees

storage boxes and getting on and off dinos can cause fatal crash.
anything that can cause a graphic spike causes fatal crash if you cannot load it quick enough.

Hello i have an unofficial 5x pvp server. Im encountering an issue where cloning chambers request an absurd ammount of shards to begin cloning. Max wild is 300 max tamed is 450. We have shards stack to 2500 and even with this we can only get about half of whats needed is there must be a setting that is causing this cost increase but i cant seem to figure out what it is anyone else able to assist with getting the cost requirement down? Low level food/weight sometimes causes issues with feeding; but it's easier on Official because of the 450 level limit; however we don't know how that limit applies on Official yet (or at least I've not seen any talks about it anywhere anyway)

Are you guys asking how it worked in ASE? You just upload your character and then you can download on any server with the same cluster ID. The character vanishes from the first server, but still "exists" so if you transfer back you're still in your tribe and stuff
