does anyone get the blinking/flashing black screen glitch when loading into ASA? i get it in menu, in game, doesn't matter. brand new pc, everything updated, tried two different gpus because i could. files validated, all drivers updated. i built this pc a week ago and had the same asa bugs on my previous pc. i have cycled my monitor's refresh rate to no success. game screen blinks with my 3060 and my rx7800 xt. im outta ideas.

I think I messed up… I didn’t breed my original pair to have a male and female with their best stats… I just breed my original male with my original female until I got 9+ females with moms stats. Then I just kept breeding my wild caught male with all the females until they gave a higher melee….

Babies can't even walk in a straight line without obstacles. They will still make a 90 degree turn and get stuck in a dino gate or wall. Does anyone know what causes and how to fix it when your character’s hair becomes spotted/partly bald when mounted? It looks normal unmounted. It probably has something to do with the view/render distance since if I change the mounted view closer to the character, at some point the hair gets back to normal, but it’s so close that I don’t want to use that distance regularly when riding a dino 😅 I tried changing the hair style and texture quality settings, but no effect. Found the weirdest thing, a beaver damn spawned in the sky. Creatures pour out of it like a portal. Tried destroying it and now it's player underwear. Archaeopteryx and Dimorphs are constantly flying up to it. Also even after playing on for hours and saving before exit, game returns to this stage.

There's a well-known bug where creatures, structural parts, and other items glitch out and reappear at 50/50 on the map, often in massive numbers. I'm not sure there's a fix or workaround, other than going into the game console and entering the "destroywilddinos" command. This only works if you're in singleplayer or an admin on the server where you play

So now you have to be careful about what you tame with commands on because there's no way to track what you've tamed with the commands off so if you're going for the all tames you would have to double tame stuff thats already been marked as tamed as it'll stay

@brave moss @brazen igloo Alr at least for PlayStation if you use a command on a server any command including graphicals or single player or non dedicated that server you are not able to gain achievements, however a host AKA not you using a command will not lock your achievements, someone else can use commands for you for a lot of the achievements however create a new character does not re unlock the achievements once you use a command on that server the achievements are locked

Considering Xbox and I assume PC are unaffected by this this is most likely a glitch

Anyone having issues on an unofficial pve where structures are being able to have a wall destroyed and all Dino’s are being killed. On my pve server I had a player have 2 walls destroyed(nothing in tribe log) and all his Dino’s killed. The log just said they died, not by anything. It looked like it was red gunned. Me and my other online admin were together so it wasn’t us.

I found a fix for DLSS and Frame Generation and possibly other NVIDIA related crash errors. This little write-up goes out to Gokuwashere. Dude is a genious and this is all because of him.

!!!-Note of Warning-!!!
You need to have resizeable BAR enabled for this to work. This is a setting you enable in your motherboard BIOS. You can find out if you have Resizeable BAR enabled by opening Nvidia Control panel. Click on, "System Information" at the bottom left and scroll down till you see

If you're experiencing crashing related to DLSS or FRAME GENERATION, this is FOR YOU.
I was crashing every 2-40 minutes in game to Purple Rain Device Hung Crashes. After this fix, I haven't had a crash yet.

Step 2: Open Nvidia Profile Inspector. At the top of the program where it says Profiles: select the bar to the right and type in, "ARK". The list will auto-populate and you should see, "ARK: Survival Ascended. Select it. 

Step 3: Once it loads and switches over to the Ark Ascended profile, scroll down and look for, "rBAR". Make the following changes:
rBAR - Feature / ENABLED
rBAR - Options / 0x00000001
rBAR - Size Limit / 0x00000001

Step 5: Replace the DLSS .dll with the latest version. Google, "nvidia dlss dll" and you should see a listing from TechPowerUP. Go there and download the file, "NVIDIA DLSS DLL 3.5.10".

Step 6: Take the single file from the dlss .dll download, and replace the .dll in your Ark Ascended folder located in:

You'll need to make sure you have supported hardware. It's supported for 10th gen forward, but some motherboards support it for 9th gen as well. Might wanna check if there are any BIOS updates that cover this feature, or an option to enable it in your BIOS.

It is possible you are running out of VRAM. Or physical memory. There's a lot of different problems and narrowing it down can be exhausting. You could try increasing your page pooling size. Just google a guide and see if that helps.

This is a current bug the only way to get it fixed is to ride the dino and hop off since its in a cave i would try to get an admin to fix if your on unofficial. If your on official you can consider joining an unofficial instead or use #bug-reports

so what i recomend you is to activate singleplayer settings and change the maduration , incubation and time betwen imprint rates

with singleplayer settings maduration is x37 or something like that but is far from beeing instant, so if you set it maduration x2 it will be 37x2= 74

Hello fellow Survivors, i have an issue regarding dedicated servers. I bought the game some weeks ago and played it with a friend who was visiting with their laptop. Everything worked fine, i set up my dedicated server and we played (online, but we were connected with the same router). Then they went home and we tried to play again but no luck. They found the server, tried to join and entered the password, but after some time of nothing happening got the error message "Joining Failed - Connection Timeout". We then asked another friend who playes the game to try to join, same error. Afterwards one of them hosted a dedicated server and i tried to join, same issue. We all can join official servers no problem and also non-dedicated games from each other. We tried all the common issues, verified the files, reinstalled, allowed both the game and the server exe through our firewalls... Does anyone know what causes this and how to fix it? Thanks in advance for any help ☺️

So I've been away from Ark for quite a while. Put up and unofficial server for ascended. When did they take the GPS away? And why? Why is there no longitude and latitude when I take my map out? Why is the grass 6 and 1/2 ft tall? Makes me feel like my character is a foot and a half tall and I am playing Far Cry primal. Lots and lots of other things missing or moved around in the game. Are there answers for any of this? Cuz I'm just curious.

I've set up a dedicated server on a server rack I have in my house. I've port forwarded the ASE Server ports needed as well as allowed them in the servers firewall. Me as well as everyone else on the server are getting quite a bit of "host disconnects" and I can't figure out the cause. RAM usage is about 20% and CPU usage is 11%. What could be the cause and some possible fixes for this?

yeah for a copy/paste game it's garbage. I can't even run graphics high on this game without it crashing so it's basically weaker graphics than ASE lol such a scam

you can try to clear the cache but sometimes only way to get past it is to keep crsahing like 5-10 times until the game lets you in

i can run it stable enough to wince through the 20fps drops but even then a top-of-the-line gpu (3070ti, can handle most games like a champ) should Not be running a game like this at such a low framerate at medium graphics

r.VolumetricFog 0

it'll remove the fog and clouds and you'll see clearer

if playstation cannot access those commands then i'm unsure what else to suggest
