Are you on unofficial? Single player? Official no command or mod will give you element. Nor let you move it map to map. You can farm element dust on extinction and asteros and jump that map to map then convert in a mega lab. Or run dust gachas. Otherwise you're out of luck on what you already lost. Least on official. Unofficial if you're admin you can give yourself element. The GFI commands exist. Same on single player.

If your character isn't in upload or on the server you jumped it from (sometimes you need to go back to that server and redownload because it stuck half on that map (to keep it simple) and half in the cloud) then you're stuck until they get to you. They should be able to overwrite any new character, just as you can, but I believe it also depends on how the restore is worked.

I did go back to the server I originally transferred from and my character is gone I went to the server that I transferred too and my character is gone I did make a new character tho but I have no way of getting into my base or tames as I was a solo player so I really do hope they can get me my old character back

Should be able to. An admin may be able to temporarily put you into your tribe with appropriate proof but if that is available to you and done any faster is up to them.

It's a windows ark conflict. Seems to come and go. If you're running windows 10 and not 11 it could be the culprit. If you're running 11 and all files are verified and good, it just exists.

Use pods you've never jumped before or don't take dinos with you. New pods jump fine. Transfers are open and should be working correctly otherwise.

Keep in mind you would need new pods on both sides. So unless you need the dinos on your other maps just leave em home.

I was kind of hoping I'd be able to explore a little and tame some dinos along the way, so I ended up bringing equipment and a spare dino with me. I'll take your idea however and transfer naked next time, might be easier :b

My tribes got bases on all maps. So our rendering is often naked. We leave supplies, dinos, etc that we may need in place so we can jump less when we go. Unless something needs moved. Just makes it easier. Plus there is always risk of loss when jumping with dinos and such. So we are cautious.

Yeah I definitely feel that. My group unfortunately doesn't have access to the tek transmitter yet so transferring takes a bit of time, and our bases are usually very small between servers since they're mostly resting stops/material farmers.
The main base has most if not all dinos hah. So when we need to move around we usually carry the essentials each time.

I might work on making the bases more accessible and self-sufficient to allow faster transfers. It might really help with taming dinos, too, since I won't have to carry all the kibbles with me everywhere I go

Need to get you some bosses for the tek goodness. Even just a five by five house with necessities helps moving around in maps in my opinion. Get a windmill and keep enough supplies to keep it repaired. Repair weekly as you render and you'll be smooth sailing with essentials for whatever you want to do.

Alternative is making alts and using the upload feature at obs or drops to move things between characters and maps. I do this some as well. I have a couple map bound alts. Who can't use transfers. Then I have a main and a primary alt I jump with.

exact opposite is true. all PS5s have the same specs and game settings. same server, same environment. if it was a bug, it would likely be less predictable

if the server/area requires more memory than a PS5 has, all PS5s will be unable to load assets fully

To be honest, I I’m getting tired in general of game companies giving dates that can’t be met. For example, grand theft auto six I would much rather have it where we wait years without hearing anything and then during a convention when they release the trailer, they also say and it’s available today!

To allow for the longevity of Ark, they needed to get out of Unreal 4.x (I don't think it was even Unreal 4.7 if I remember correctly) otherwise you would not have proper cross play between the Epic Games, Steam, and Console versions of the game, console mod support. And as Unreal engine moved further and further away from Unreal 4, you could have expected the game to just be shutdown due to lack of engine support. ASA was supposed to be the fix for all of that, and in a lot of ways it did, but it has had too many delays and still is one of the worse optomized unreal engine games out there.

While I agree that is the best option, the biggest issue is they need to stop choosing silence when things do not go to plan, the same actions are taken every time a release is delayed, first silence, then hours into the next day (because they are hard trying to fix whatever issue is causing the delay, I honestly believe that.) Then if the wills of the random gods that people sacrifice their favorite ovis too align, it might release in the early hours of the next day with an apology for the delay.

@heavy cedar us, European unofficial server owners, would greatly appreciate it if you could announce delays sooner. Ark updates tend to break mods/plugins and require a manual install to make sure everything is ok, and considering that we have jobs/ families etc, we often need to plan ahead to be available to take care of updates. Staying on standby for a day or two due to WC's poor communication really sucks for us.

I use ASA Manager to run my servers I did a lifetime sub to the premium version of the manager. I really like it. It makes it very easy for me to run multiple servers and to keep them mantained with my settings and mods and such.

I am currently playing on a cluster hosted on nitrado with next to no mods installed Cyber Structures and SCS are all it has and in that cluster Ragnarok my favorite map is completely unplayable. Random lag for no reason, characters rubber banding, and if you have a fast glider like a maeguana moving at speed causes you to disconnect. There are next to no structures on it, and I cannot figure out why that map is so cursed with the exploration I managed to do. But every other map in the custer is fine.
