man, ive been doin ark since 2016, but jesus, if this performance update on the 27th doesn't fix alot of the current issues, especially this recent fkn stuttering, i may have to drop this, cause the stuttering freeze lasts 3 seconds, to get not even a full second of a normal frame. and this goes on for over 5 minutes, before only getting a minute of less with just normal gameplay before right back to stuttering...

5.5 was unbelievably smooth for mod updating, vast majority of stuff auto recooked with no issues

only a couple mods had any major issues. there should be less significant changes as well, the sparse data switch was a big deal and the main cause of problems, since it changed how mods can edit a ton of common things

engine updates on games are usually "100% of mods are completely trashed, start over"

Well I just checked the orbital and fishing drop loot tables, which to be honest are my two main ones, and it's in neither.

Looks like it does drop in the "generic" red drops in caves, the yellow drops in the snow cave, and red and yellow drops in the underwater caves.

I was in the city yesterday Xbox S. I reset prior to teleporting into the city. I did two outposts and walked around for at least 30 minutes and had no issue. My tribe mate on PS5 crashed when we teleported to the city and then again when we were walking around. 🤷🏻

Dynamic cosmetic download is in settings. I’m not sure which screen however, if you’re in a single player, you don’t have to worry about it because essentially dynamic cosmetics or cosmetics that other players have put on their bases and if you’re on single player, there wouldn’t be any other players.

Today I did it. First time trying to tame aquatic creatures and facing my fears of the deep ocean. And boy, the ocean in Ark is ridiculous.

I went with a raft and a beelzebuffo. Stopped right next to a lv76 megalodon (I know, low level, but it was just a test). It got knocked out with 3-4 tranq spear bolts, and when I turned I had more than 10 megalodons coming, including an alpha. It took me a long while to kill them all (turns out the beelzebuffo can't use its long tongue attack underwater) and go back to the unconscious one.

Thinking about ark Rag and it's boss, Nunatak.

I find it interesting, but also disappointed. Crystal Isles was known for its vast array of wyverns and its unique boss, the wyvern queen. I feel like the wyvern boss should've been kept for Crystal Isles and a Rag boss could've been based on mythical creatures related to ragnarok

I also hated the single biome. I addition the dino spawns were everywhere, the distance to get anywhere was impossible with the terrain being the same everywhere, the best build spots were blocked, especially considering there weren't many for views and environment feel, challenging wasnt fun as it felt like you were just doing the same circles cause the environment was the same everywhere

@proven grove Could you please adjust the Defense and City missions in Lost Colony? A lot of players want to run Alpha missions, but they’re either bugged or only Gamma and Beta missions show up.

To keep players from wasting time starting and abandoning missions, it would be great to add an option where, when launching a mission like the Genesis 2 missions, the player can choose the difficulty—Gamma, Beta, or Alpha. That way, we wouldn’t have to keep abandoning missions just to get one with the desired difficulty to spawn.

Let Us Complete Our Collections - Standardize Boss Trophy/Dermis/Flag Transfers

Day 1 of trying to get the developers ATTENTION

There's a growing part of the player base that focuses on something simple but meaningful: collecting boss trophies and showcasing achievements. And right now, that experience is broken. Players can defeat every boss across every map,and still not be able to display a complete collection in one map. Not because they didn't earn it, but because the transfer rules are inconsistent.

What's going wrong?

• Some maps allow full transfers (like Extinction, Aberration and Scorched Earth)
• Others block heads, dermis, or flags for no clear reason (Ragnarok and Valguero)
• Some items are blocked despite having no gameplay function at all (Astraeos boss heads)

Even more confusing:

• Island boss heads don't transfer because they're used to open Tek Cave
• But Alpha King Titan head DOES transfer, even though it's also used to start a boss fight

Boss trophies aren't just decorations, they represent time, coordination, and difficulty completing every one of them. All us collectors really want is to have all our achievements displayed in one place.

The following changes will not have any impact on the gameplay:

• The Island: Alpha boss heads can be transfered
• Ragnarok: Nunatak - Allow the transfer of the dermis, flag and trophy heads
• Valguero: Grendal - Allow the transfer of the dermis, flag and trophy heads
• Astraeos: Allow the transfer of trophy heads

Please align all the maps under the same rules. Let us collectors complete our collections and gaze for hours at the accomplishments we have achieve in Ark.

Delaying the new amendments to the LC caves has screwed people over the Devs should never have delayed the cave modifications. So many people took their shit down ready that people are actively working on those vulnerabilities. Playing it off as giving people more time, you clearly weren’t ready but palmed it off as doing it for the players 😅

Has anyone considered that LC has way bigger issues then not enough small caves for the PVPer's. How about fixing all the broken missions locations. It looks to me like structures from failed mission attempts dont go away and then new missions spawn on top of them which can lead to those missions failing because the new mission structures spawn inside old mission structures and the new one cant be destroyed, which just compiles the issues. How about a wipe command to clear all failed missions or just wipe all missions and their structures to give new missions a chance to spawn in clean?
