usually best to disable cosmetics on official on console, otherwise you will crash, a lot. people spam stuff with no regards for memory usage, 16GB console cant handle it

storage and memory are not the same thing at all. ps5 only has 16GB memory for the entire system, it does not have any headroom. mods also act oddly on it due to sony's restrictions on how they are installed, crashes dont help

There is an item you can build called a hospital. I believe it’s part of lost colony dlc if you have that. Heals pretty fast similar to a drakeling speed.

I can't even seem to put them back into my inventory properly because the slots just keep filling up again. You know it would be really great. I think they need to add one creature to the desert biome. And this creature would have two abilities. The first ability would be a protection alert system. Like to Perry. But to be an upgraded version. And the second ability of this creature. Would be a shoulder pad feature on this creature. Where you could bring it into the desert caves and get artifacts just like the otter is used for other maps. So this creature can go on scorched Earth as soon as the creature comes out and you can have it on DLC maps. So now that would be two creatures that can hold more than one artifact. And this creature would be the desert meerkat. It'd be the perfect surveillance system because that's what they naturally do. And it also give another creature to give and hold more artifacts to do artifact runs.

No no joke. Seriously though like a meerkat natural duty is to protect themselves and they would put centuries out to alert about danger. So in this sake for the video game if they add it it would be an upgraded version with the Perry does in the game already. And the second ability is far as holding artifacts comes from the order because this is the only creature that we have in the game that carries artifacts. So if you do a story mode and you go from the island to scorched Earth and you hold yourself that you're ascending with nothing and going naked to the next map. There's nothing on scorched Earth to hold more artifacts because there's no otters. So that was a return make it a little bit better game wise to have another creature that holds artifacts in the desert format

I just thought of another thing that you could possibly do instead of making it a shoulder pet. Now we have these companion mode pets. Make the desert meerkat. Into a companion mode. Now with that being a companion mode pet. You could not only hold the desert meerkat with you you could actually hold in order with you and now you can get double artifacts. But you can have the other ability to keep yourself within temperature to keep you hot cold whatever because the insulation the otter has. And then you have the companion mode that you can just stick artifacts in. You have The Best of both worlds. You can hold both creatures at the same time.

you dont have to pay for a server. ASA is a different game, different engine, completely different level loading tech

removing tether in ASE still had a ton of problems and shits up performance. dedicated server runs faster and without all the issues. tether is a safety mechanism to prevent performance issues/running out of memory on lower-spec systems

Go to the file "GameUserSettings.ini" (a name like that, path : Programs(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK Survival Ascended\ShooterGame\Content\Saved (or SavedGames))

Then open the file with anything that can open it and bring modifications to it (such as Notepad or Visual Studio Code), then look for a setting called "OverrideOfficialDifficulty (easier with Ctrl + F) (I think 1.0 = 30 lvls so put it at 10 to get a max wild level of 300) if it isn't there add it manually and it works perfectly fine

Also yeah turn MaxDifficulty off (you can do it in the game UI as well) because it caps wild dino levels at 150 or 180 for some reason

It turns you into a literal ghost, you can go through anything : object, meshes, dinos, you get it + you're set to a slow flying mode automatically

To switch back to where you were, type then "walk" it will make you bound to gravity once again

I’ve been playing on Astraeos and I’m looking for a mod (or any tool) that can show the location of active Orbital Supply Drops on the map — something similar to Der Dino Finder but for OSD events.
I tried looking into Orbital Satellite Uplink and Loot Drop Scanner, but I couldn’t find any confirmation that they actually work on Astraeos specifically.
Does anyone have experience with this? Is there a mod that reliably tracks OSD spawns on this map?

So a week ago, ARK : Survival Ascended was running perfectly fine. No crashes, no lags

But not long ago, I played ASA, but this mysterious time, it froze for more about a minute crashed while in the intro menu. Nowadays it sometimes randomly crashes in the start menu. And it's NOT just a regular crash
The crash report pop-up post-"crash" says "The application has hung and will now close." This error seems to be specific to games running on Unreal Engine as this report is more commonly associated with the famous videogame "Fortnite", also coded on Unreal Engine.
Not a single ASA update came out in the last week or two, neither for my Windows 11 OS, graphic cards system 'AMD Adrenalin) or Steam, yet it still keeps crashing
AND IT DIDN'T HAPPEN JUST TO ASA. It happened with other videogames, such as Hearts of Iron IV and even Team Fortress 2 (they don't get this "Application has hung" error). Also when I crashed my Steam says the game is still running even if I don't see ArkAscended.exe in the task manager anymore. Also I cannot launch AMD Adrenalin or any other Steam game back again when this happen + task manager crashes when I open "performances/specs" bars. I am forced to reboot my PC every single time in order to successfully turn off these games and launch them again. Also Discord crashes within a time limit or specific action. But neither Spotify, nor Microsoft Edge are affected by those

I reinstalled the whole game as well as Steam and did a clean reboot, nothing ever changed. I was able to spam the living hell outta Alt + Tab very smoothly and game never crashed, till now

Crash circumstances :

• Randomly, as soon as it started the intro, right after the movie
• Tabbing out of the game (by Alt + Tab, Windows + Tab or even simply pressing Windows could be enough. Screenshotting can also close that at some times). If I have more tabs open, is more susceptible to crash
• Basically not staying in the game for too long

I also get no crash report ever from this
I do not run the game in -dx12 (I tried any of these options, didn't fix it)
I disabled Steam cloud and Steam overlay
I verified integrity of game files countless times + deleted cache every single time
I did not download anything executable for the past 2 weeks
So with this information, I concluded that the issue might either be Steam (the app), ARK : Survival Ascended or my PC

My graphic cards

• cpu = AMD Ryzen 5 7600 6-Core Processor
• processor speed = 3.80 GHz
• ram = 32 GB
• gpu 1 (is an APU, set to integrated gpu) = AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics
• vram 1 = 512 MB
• gpu 2 (set to dedicated gpu) = AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT
• vram 2 = 12272 MB / ~12 GB
  I downloaded ARK : Survival Ascended on a SSD hard drive with a storage capacity of 1.81 TB in which 1.4 TB was already used (ASA included) (leaving us with approximately 486 GB)

In game settings

I run it all Epic settings, fullscreen probably all the time unless I tried to do it in windowed fullscreen to "reduce crashes" (and it never worked)
Do not even dare to start with the "ark.VertexCountScaling 1" bs, it did absolutely nothing but lag my game further more. It is NOT a lag issue, I will repeat it
I have water and foliage interaction on (I used to disable both because I had a crash issue with vaults, far in the past)
I never get the creature's tab on obelisks/transmitters to crash my game, neither any sort of cryo-related do. Almost nothing make my game crash in fact, maybe despite at random times within random minute or hour intervalls

Pretty much anything I had to say. Please find the issue and tell me how to solve it since I'm not a specialist would be appreciate and for the whole of ARK community as well. Peace.

I'm playing Ark: ASA - Lost Colony.

I'm trying to create an elevator system. The system itself works perfectly (the elevator goes up and down smoothly).
However, I can't seem to create a floor system.

I have a basement, a ground floor, and a first floor. The track runs from the basement to the first floor. But when I'm on it, it goes from the basement to the first floor (or vice versa) without stopping at the ground floor.

Could someone tell me how to do this, or if there's a trick to it?

Also, I know that in Evolved, you could have an "elevator button" (or at least a pad to call it). Does this exist in ASA? (I can't find it.)

Afaik there is no floor option. It goes all the way on the same track. I use 2 different tracks. Basement to ground, then ground to second floor right next to it

it does stop a half wall before the door tho so you'll have to place the door half a wall above the floor 😂

Congrats you habe a duped character. Dont download just go out and straight to the map and login like normal. The one you were transferring should be able to be downloaded to the original map you left

Our first question is what we should have done differently, and our second question is, candies were also announced for the Eggcellent Adventure, but we can't spawn them using cheats. So I been dealing with a problem. Ive been playing my Scorched Earth world and all of a sudden levels are now like 134, 132, 6, 2, 62, 44 ETC... you get the point. I watched many videos asked many ai's on how to fix and nothing worked. So sadly I delted ALL of ark files and all my worlds and re downloaded the game for everything to be normal. Now with everything fresh and Hard mode on and Max Diffuctly set to on and Diffuclty level set to 1, im still seeing levels like 13, 17,22,16 ETC... Yes. I find it either the worst map or second worst map for disconnection. The map is not a map that is very forgiving when you disconnect either so I don’t play on it very much and really can’t collect tributes to do alpha.
