yo ever since the UE5.5 update my ASA looks like straight PS2 on my 3070 ti 8gb, textures won’t load, models stay low poly, settings don’t change anything, and poolsize doesn’t work anymore, is this a known 8gb vram bug or what 💀

i'll have to reinstall ark since i uninstalled it last week cause I wasnt able to fix all the graphical issues. Most ppl told me to upgrade to a higher vram gpu. I can confirm gpu's that are 12gb vram and above fixes it as I tested it on my younger brother's 2060 12gb.

I was hoping the issue has maybe been fixed so i can get back to playing lol. Since the visual issues are so significant its unplayable for me, even if it doesnt effect gameplay at all.

That’s because you’re on PVE servers PVP servers have a lot more things going with people having their turret walls that make the game a lot more laggy, but PVP is still more fun

If you mean that "Player1" is on the top left corner of your main screen then yes.. its an issue for me too. I tried all of those already with no effect:

• Reboot
• Reinstall of: ASA, EPIC Launcher, Battleeye
• Run stuff as administrator
• Disabling AVS
• Relogging in both steam/epic
• Doing shady file deletion of old profiles

Yes, they most commonly spawn around the new islands , towards the world borders/costline, the one near swamp and the small herbivore island behind the new one in highlands I find them the most

Steps to reproduce the bug:

Travel from one base to another (both should normally be visible), or simply move far enough from your base until it’s no longer in view.

Open the Dino Finder, select a creature, and ping it on the map.

Return to your base — it will now be invisible.

Note: If you repeat the same steps without using the Dino Finder, the bases appear normally.

this. i played a game a while ago where the devs didnt originally disable FG for UI, it felt absolutely atrocious, then they disabled it for UI and it looked and felt 100 times better

its that the floating character model itself nukes performance, they tried fixing it by reducing the game rez when you open your inventory, but that doesnt actually fix it
the updates dont effect this, it just depends on your luck wether or not you'll get your perf nuked in your inventory by this

Why is it that I can see the remote tame tracker automatically applied to any Dino that I knocked out in my single player world but not in my friend’s P2P server? PSA don’t try to transfer your character to a full server; it will boot you back to the server you tried to transfer from and all of your items/dinos you tried to transfer with will get deleted.

Also, it was showing that there were 68/70 players on the server I tried to transfer to but it was full; so just be careful if the player count is even close to being full.

Alpha basilisk and alpha Karkinos do spawn on valguero. After using the gene scanner, there's probably like 5 in the ab zone at a time and once they're killed it can be a while for 1 to spawn again. We made sure we had multiples of the other tributes and took on the spawned in basilisk when it came up
