Do you know what your difficulty is?

You can't really "influence" dino levels or how frequently something spawns. Some dinos only spawn 1 or 2 on the map and they don't "replenish" until you kill what's there

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe every 0.1 in difficulty raises the max tameable dino cap by 15 levels

Thousands if you play on a high difficulty and have default gather rates. Some saddle blueprints can take 15k metal ingots, 40k hide, and 30k fiber

If you're solo and it's your first time, I would stick with 0.2 as your difficulty, You'll see a max level of 30, but it also makes the game EASIER too

You won't need the 15k metal ingot saddles on 0.2 difficulty, you could probably get away with 100 armor saddles, but default gather rates are a huge no no. The game is really balanced with 20 people tribes at 1.0 sliders

To put it bluntly as someone with 3k hours combined in both ASA and ASE, the gameplay IS kinda boring and bland, but you get extreme satisfaction walking up to all your dinos and min-maxing numbers for end-game breeding if you're on higher difficulties

We're on 4.0 difficulty with 3x gather rates and using a mod called: "Upgrade and Imbuement station" with it's values at 0.6666x reduced crafting costs. It allows us to get further in the game at a non-embarrassing pace and have a lot of fun on the side while dinos are raising or leveling in the wild

Description: As a server administrator, it's my duty and job to ensure that my players have a very smooth time playing. Recently, we haven't been able to get an Oaisisaur to spawn, so I have tried to spawn it for them. Unfortunately, as a Non-DLC owner, I could not make this possible for my players. The DLC requires ownership if you want to TAME a creature, I was not trying to tame it, I was attempting to summon it for one of my players to tame. However, because of this problem, I had to make a random person an administrator so they could do it themselves, and while it worked out, they immediately abused administrative privileges.

This bug/poor feature requires administrators to get nickel-and-dimed in order to properly ensure transitions for each and every individual. The quality of each server gets degraded because of this problem. As the host/admin, I can simply enforce a rule to never summon any creatures, but then players would look toward another host, or simply not play the game online as SOME of them are friends that do not wish to play on random servers not owned by any of us.

What i don't understand is why wildcard won't just release all the engrams and then captch up with the maps later. I mean the gen 2 engrams are really bloody useful early on but completely redundant by the time Gen 2 is releaseed. Hello, what is happening on some EU PVE servers, the one I play on is 6016 for over a month now, the server crashes and kicks all players out, and restarts twice in a row to get back in, you are never safe playing (doing a beta and dropping a box because it kicks you out and you lose everything) it is sad that a map that we have PAID for is in these conditions, it is known that the map is incomplete but in its mechanics it should be able to be played without these problems, which other maps do not have, at the beginning of Astraeos this server did not have these errors. I do not know if this will happen on more servers.

What happens in 6016... I lost my level 135 character 2 weeks ago and it can't be played with so many resets in a row... I sent my complaint about the character and no one answers... In the end I will lose another of my characters before they solve the loss... It's amazing after paying map and game that it goes so badly and they give this garbage tech service

Restarting the server 3 times in a row... And 12 daily restarts... I don't understand anything about what is happening but we need solutions and answers to what has happened... Players don't always have to pay for this behavior from the video game company or nitrate

The main problem here is that ARK is doing things backwards. The biggest issue is those players who ridiculously place more than 30 or 60 cloners. That causes massive, unbelievable lag, along with the gacha towers. But ARK, in its brilliant wisdom, puts a limit on dinos instead of machines that heavily drain server resources, like the cloner and tek pod. Please, ARK, put a limit on cloners and raise the tame and dino limits, as well as the carts. That’s how it should be — limit the cloners and increase the dino and tame cap.

I don't believe FluffDragon, a mod is nothing more than lines of code that add or change features. If you have 100 mods that each change a separate engram to have -1 skill point cost then literally nothing will break. It comes down to conflicts at the end of the day

Well, before we got to the terminal ALL the theriz jumped off into the lava, exactly what I said would happen. We have done 3 rollbacks and each one had the same problem

I think we're better off using console commands to cheat kill the overseer, the game is too buggy for this

If we had access to EVERYTHING we just spend the last HOUR setting up with veggie cakes, 300 point saddles, and all 40 creatures we specifically bred and mutated, we could do it. But because this game has the worst pathfinding in history, there's simply no way to make it work. The AI is just too dumb, I'm not fighting the overseer anymore, I'm fighting garbage pathfinding.

We're being smart too. Hugging the walls furthest from lava, not allowing the front theriz to wander too far, and running past the gigas that appear, but the ones in the Back are stupid as all hell.

After ascending (legitimately), I have a few thoughts.

||1. The volcano passageway is exceptionally narrow and dinos CONSTANTLY get stuck even if they're in a conga line, there needs to be at least 3x the amount of walking room||

||2. Dinos absolutely LOVE to jump down the side of the obsidian cliff right into the lava and swim to the Tek Cave Door||

||3. The Gigas inside the tek cave feel too dumb, and they are extremely powerful that it doesn't become fun to deal with them (even though it's already easy).||

||4. The overseer spends TOO MUCH time running around the arena. There was definitely at least 4 minutes eaten up into the timer because of his shield or simply being unable to reach over large distances. ||

||5. The overseer fight is DEFINITELY the coolest so far, we haven't play Aberration or Extinction yet (already finished Scorched Earth) and fighting the old bosses in their new forms was bonkers, genuinely a cool fight||

||6. We were originally worried about the 1 hour timer, but soon came to realize it's lax and actually feels good. Even if you have a worst-case scenario of something eating into the timer, it will rarely effect the entire run. We killed EVERYTHING inside of the Tek Cave and didn't have to worry. The timer feels like a formality of "please don't be here too long, there are other people on the server. Which is really nice.||

Can you force a respawn of an OSD/Elemental Vein? We almost only get Legendary OSDs on Astraeos, but we want to do alphas first. When we have a Vein, we launch it, fly out of range, and check if anything new has spawned. We do the same with OSDs—only after 5-6 such actions (half of them Leg OSDs!), nothing happens. No Vein, no OSDs. Is there a hidden cooldown or something?

there's a mod to call specific osd colors, otherwise you'd have to trigger it and run and wait for a new spawn

Mods aren't an option. Triggering and running away (porting out of render range) just doesn't really work. After a few hours, we respawn (without restarting the server). Sometimes the old dinos that belong to OSD/Vein (level 300, etc.) are still hanging around.

Killing them when we only get Legendary OSDs is a bit difficult 😉 Activating them and then moving them out of render range causes the Vein/OSD to despawn. But that only works to a very limited extent. Hence my question: is there a CD or a limit on the number of respawns etc. allowed per hour? If we "cancel" 2x 4 Veins/Legends, we might have exhausted the 1-2-3 hour budget 😉

Yesterday, we flew over the island for over an hour without a new Vein/OSD. The next day (about 12 hours later), there were more (Leg OSD and Ele Veins) – without a server restart.

Unlike ASE for PlayStation each map had its own seperate data that you can upload/
download from/to the cloud

You have to have a server to crunch the numbers on what's happening in game between clients so there's not really a way around it. And each ark map uses 2 cpu cores and 10+gb ram so it really needs to be a machine built around server hosting

They're basically telling you the same thing I've already told you. You'd upload your tames/items/character (after the host disabled the cluster IDs and enabled uploads/downloads) to an obelisk or supply drop, log out of the server, log into your singleplayer, go to an obelisk, and download it.

a perfect tame will gain 1/2 their wild levels as bonus upon taming, rounded down. a level 100 will end up as a 150, a level 150 as 224, etc

the efficiency bar basically lowers that bonus, if it takes damage or runs out of food or every time it eats to tame

a level 10 will end up at level 14 max, then you have (iirc) 88 xp levels as it gains experience

you can get them from most rocks, particularly smooth river rocks, but the most metal comes from the specific metal nodes

4060 is on low end of the 40 series. it may run smooth but that could just be the frame gen

as far as i know the parent needs to be distracted by a egg to get the baby to tame

Easiest way, find low level gigantorapter with nest, faster tame, once baby grown you can use it to capture tame higher levels
