I have been using frog on swamp cave not the best, I would rather collect the cp from the beaver dams, because you will need or a gas mask or scuba suit to not die due to the gas

i have been using the frog in the cave. key is to have a good breed frog imprinted to you. it doesnt hurt to take a carno buddy with you run point on arthro. just turn harvesting off on the carno. i also just go in only in a gas mask and no armor.

The only issue I see with a carno over a baryonix on paper is the size of the carno being too big to fit in some caves and the baryonix being more effective in underwater sections..... realistically one could use any tame if properly leveled

and playing on console in 2016 I do recall there being caves with artifacts and creatures inside them

The spam aspect could be easily manages if they adopted a similar system to rust with upkeep and limited the amount of TC for a tribe. You could have enough spam to prevent cave lock or close fob but not as much as to spam the whole map

I feel like a TC upkeep system in ark would make the game a lot more miserable and grindy than it already is

Just there to have a radius of spam that doesn't quickly auto decay

Let's say a tribe could have 20 TC, enough to lock map spots down but not enough to spam every spot till out of render. Upkeep could be like 50 metal a day which is nothing, but anything out of the upkeep zone would rot in say a day. Just arbitrary numbers to make a point

It's also based on character level as well. You won't get all the +75 unless you are high enough level for it.

My 138 character managed to get a 208 reaper from a 140 queen.
I got all the XP kill for the +75 while prego.

If I had high level character it could have been a 215.

My 131 character got prego from the same queen and ended up 204 reaper.

With the release of ASA Aberration, WildCard released an update making Reaper King baby levels based on a combination of player, mother and XP levels. I have worked out a rough formula for level distribution.

Reaper Queen Level + ( Player Level ÷ ( 155 ÷ Bonus Levels ) )

For example: A level 130 Queen, 91 player and 75 bonus Levels comes out to. (Current max attainable player level is 155, this may change with future expansions)

155 ÷ 75 = 2.0666~

91 ÷ 2.0666 = 44.046

130 + 44 ( rounded ) = Reaper King Level 174

Baby dinos do definitely give exp on kill in ASA. I got the max level achievement back when we just had the Island by killing carchar babies and when I kill off the unneeded baby dinos when breeding for mutations recently I'm quite certain they do as well

Yeah same happened to me, duplicated characters because of bug, I think its this code, look at structure and use jointribe or givetribe

transferring on singleplayer does that in ASA. use TakeAllstructure and TakeAlldino to get your stuff back.

when nobody is in a tribe it "ghosts" the tribe and you can't join them anymore for some reason it happens on singleplayer now.

For the last two weeks I can’t get on my main server; I uninstalled the game 5-7 times reinstalled it the same amount of times; reinstalled windows did all the driver updates for everything on my pc and to known man; and it still says battle eye is being restricted; I approved it through the firewall and the other program in the same fold but still doesn’t let it go through; a file is missing crystal.dll or something along those lines. It is with a heavy heart I announce that I’ve uninstalled ASA, and will not be playing it for the foreseeable future, likely years, if ever.

It quite simply failed all expectations for me, and was a waste of money and time. Wildcard hath ruined an already issue ridden mess with their paid creature mods, and Abberation looked abysmal. I’m done with the game.

I had said that Abberation was its last chance to wow me, as I had never set foot on the map on ASE, the only map with that status, and wanted to experience it for the first time in UE5.

And it failed me. Boring, dull, a far cry from the dangerous paradise of bioluminescence I had expected after years of listening to the audio Explorer Notes.

Here I do hang up my shotgun and tranq rifle. My dinos in their cryos on my base shall die in 10 or so days once the fuel in the generator runs out. Here it ends, for me o7

Hi, I'm sorry for your issues, one of the biggest problems I have seen is related to using mods, I play mostly on official pve and the game has some issues indeed since last 2 weeks with inventory lagg and bad ping, dinos get stuck in walls but on the island I can play the game without any crashes or major issues

Yes indeed abb was unplayble to me with darkness on xbox and now looks amazing, they are fixing the game and maps, there are still some issues with element on center boss fight not showing up, I am sure they will fix the biggest problems soon

I had what felt like 20 crashes last night
with error DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED with Reason: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG

I tried a few things and was able to localize the crash in a certain area on the map.

The final solution for me was to delete all mods. We have the assumption that a mod was out of date and collided with another version. Or the other way around.

Maybe it will help someone who is also looking for this error here 🙂

Wondering if anyone else is experiencing their game/xbox x/s suddenly not doing basic functions? This only happens when playing ASA. My screenshot button quits working on single tap. Double tap opens the menu but the menu is only a loading screen that you get stuck on 90% of the time. Going to your home screen from the game will more often than not result in it being as if I unplugged the HDMI. But while on the home screen certain things will not open. It highlights, makes every other motion of selecting a menu(settings for me) but does nothing. Can however go one over and open that without issue. Bypassing this by going through the side menu when pressing the center (X) button and going to setting will work but there are several other things you can click in there and it does the same. Picture going to place a structure in ARK and it does the thing where every sound and motion is like it will place but only makes the noise and does nothing. That's basically what my xbox is doing.. been going on for nearly a month now and yes I have shut down, quit out, restarted, and power cycled. The power cycle is the only thing that works and even then may only work for a few minutes. This ONLY happens when I'm playing ASA.

Should be good for Gammas. Alphas, I often hear quoted, you want around 35-40k and 1100%. Good saddles go a long, long way. As does movement management, Rexes tend to get stuck against each other, not letting the full complement do battle at once. Some clever group management helps there.

We did Alphas with 40k/1100%/330% saddles. Got some sweet blueprints 👌

And I’ve heavily mutated them since, just hit 20 HP Muts and arranged a trade for 20 Melee Muts. Rexes are “done” 🍻

Depends on what you have access to. Swamp cave gave us two ascendant rex BPs; I built little camps by the desert red loot crates on SE and just farmed those once or twice a day by bed hopping. Don’t think they gave Rex saddles, but I think it’s in the loot pool; got a shotgun or two that way.

I think you need on ase to have alliance but I entered boss fights on ASA with nothing and played it just make sure you aren't using a thyla and that you have minimum level required to enter

Anyone else experience a mesh teleport in the yi ling when climbing out of drake trench? Seems any time I climb on the purple aura cliff faces from rad zone I seem to get teleported into a mesh zone on surface and have to high tale to red OB surface entrance before I get burned up. Happens on the path up, as well as the cliff ledges if it is not a clear dash up when I am latched to a wall
