Between the two you listed.. I'd say parasaur first as they can detect danger with right click and avoid things, are not aggressive when attacked, and they are easier to find.. but I use both.. when I want to travel farther I use the iguanodon as it has decent weight, pretty fast (even swimming), and has infinite stamina in quad (fast) run mode, amd has decent melee abilities..
Iguanodon is pretty good because it can run away from any danger..

funny you mention that, when i was moving from the mainland to herbivore island on the island map, i had 2 parasaurs and a moschops, as i was making progress, a seagull attacked my dinos, idk which one but it made them all jump off the raft, and then some jellyfish came and killed my moschops

I hope more people start putting out custom cosmetics clothes and structures. We're removing structure mods as there's always issues with them when there's updates, but custom cosmetics are risk free for players. If they mod breaks, ya build just looks normal. And now that enemy players can see your cosmetics, it makes it even better. They need them installed of course but they're so tiny it's not an issue.

i had the same exact thing happen to me, just move closer to the red obelisk, not by much, but the further the better, try make a raft and sail to herbivore island, you get tons of herbivoes there, including ankys, and metal also spawns and theres no predators, not even compys, so try head there and get progressing, the rest is for you to decide.

I'm a critic of bugs in the game, mostly dcs, specially on boss fights, something that can ruin the experience and make you lose a lot of hours, a big example of this is genesis 2 on ase. But I can't resume asa to what you have said. They made almost everything better with clever new options to maximize almost everything, we have the recipes unlocked on cooking pot etç. Asa isn't about better graphics, it's way more than this, I have never played ark because of good graphics.

They made it a point to mention changing how the basing works and they'vebeen working on this for a while, there may be some small issues but I don't think it'll be that bad.

The menu slider goes back to 1 all the time. If you've changed it via ini, it'll be fine.
