Mutations into stats always gives you +2 levels per mutation so you can not get a level 1 with Mutations, lowest level you could get is level 3 if you have only 1 single Mutation so far

I'm not trying to be difficult but mutations regardless of anything is +2 on a Stat. Everyone of them comes with a color change though sometimes it's in an inactive color region you can't see. If you show a mutation but it's not showing a stat change is because you lost the mutation earlier in the breed line and should look back to correct. U can breed up my mutations like adding my +2 to a higher Stat line when it improves but I cannot transfer my +2 to a lower Stat line

If you turn off fluid interaction you can play however the F you want it won't crash, but you miss out on the cool interactions and stuff its sad, while if you use fluid interaction you're forced to open inventories in 3rd person

yeah VRAM in your case shouldn't be the case, i got 8gb RTX 3060TI and i don't crash at all if i disable fluid interaction, there's also some setting in interface that makes that happen more often but idk what was it, was changing some UI settings and stuff couple days ago, crashed, relog, crash instantly again and was on repeat till i reset settings so maybe if you touched those make them go back to default idk

Crashing like this no matter the POV would be new. Previously it was 1st person only, and accessing inventories. So some this is likely new behavior, and it's something relatively painless to try without having to try other, more detailed things. Choice is yours, eventually it should sort. But that's why I like to stay a couple drivers back. They're more stable and generally more compatible.

28-30GB is my normal consumption with Ark + other stuff like Discord, Steam, Chrome etc running 😄
And we all know how RAM hungry this game gets, Island is the least ram eating map/most optimized, I remember Gen2 eating 10-14GB, probably gonna upgrade to 64GB if I stick around for that long to play other maps.
But Island used (in ASE) to eat ~6GB and now it requires almost 10GB of ram (not epic settings). Can imagine Gen2 requiring 20-30GB lol

You crash in ANY inventory ur in, be it cooker, vault, your own, dino, cryofridge, if stay in that inventory for 3-5 sec u crash. You can use inventories without crashing if ur fast, and get out of them every -3 seconds. Hope this helps some people.

Epic Games (UE5 Engine) would never have expected that foliac interaction would be abused so excessively. Normally you generate the stones from mesh terrain and not from thousands of elements that are on the ground through foliac interaction. It's easy to build, but it takes a lot out of performance. There's nothing like a clean mesh terrain.

You crash in ANY inventory ur in, be it cooker, vault, your own, dino, cryofridge, if you stay in that inventory for 3-5 sec u crash. You can use inventories without crashing if ur fast, and get out of them every -3 seconds.
Also untrack ur dinos by holding R on them, do not use tracking tab= insta crash.

Can anyone give me a good opinon on Ascended? Loved the concept of evolved although the optimization seemed to be done by a 3yrs old and Ascended looks really nice. Eveyone i seen giving an opinion on it was only talking negative about it BUT i also know these people just greatly dislike wildcard and all the ark 2 drama. With that said based on just game play, optimization, and amount of bugs...is ascended worth it?

It is early on and there's not a lot of content yet, but if you're wanting to stick around for the ride I saw why not. I also play on a 3060 ti and th game is playable. It does run pretty hot and certainly isn't the pretiest, but I can get about 40-60 fps consistently. just depends on the area and what you're doing honestly. i do get the lowlevelfatalerror crash occasionally but i believe that is a crash with ue5 itself and not my card neccessarily.

i think primal chaos is the biggest mod atm in terms of overhaul. i play unofficial "vanish" which seems to be what you were listing there. you can browse through mods on curseforge's website as well. better breeding is a must have imo if you don't want to sit around to combine stats

it makes it so that whenever your dinos breed you will always get the best stats from both parents. it doesn't help you get more mutations but it will gurantee your babies will have that mutation and the highest base stat always if you have one. it's just a really nice time saver.

As a console player I do agree with this. However from my experience (even tho I ain’t server). Iv only reached the limit once during the time it was all bugging out. I play with 9 full pages of mods and I’m pretty sure I still got like 2-3 GBs left. And I have multiple overhauls installed just to switch them out from time to time

Only thing I can think of to try, if you're SURE the mods do not exceed the PS5's storage limit, is to have the PS5 player clean system cache and try again. They might have older mod data stored.

So I got the game to stop crashing repeatedly. My solution was to go into settings and clicked “unblock all mods” I do not have any blocked mods but it started working afterwards

Yep same PS5 . We got on our map we had to all uninstall like a couple mods I did 3 then it let me load in then updating the mods from session. But some of my players are missing implants and get see inventory or nothing in there vaults and storage

No everyone removed 3 from your own mod list to uninstall. Then the join button works but it adds the mods back in session loading map it updates

Not what key combination but on PC you go to the mod list before hitting join a server or access a single player / non dedicated server (its the right most box to access). You install it. Log into your game, go to your cosmetic tab, you should see a structure skin. Right click it to select the glass mod. Then hit E on the skin and put it over a wall. Apply it. Once applied walk up and hit E (your action button to access radial wheels). You'll see options from there to change the look.

Least they fixed single player not saving but at the same time that really only effects when you exit out of the map. I really hope they bring the save button back in before centre is released that’s literally my biggest issue
