like crikey said, those dont come in untill very very late in development, they will come back eventually, but its not on the content left out that makes people demand so much time, its purely a result of the fact that servers dont wipe like in rust. sure its cool to keep your progress and the kind of game ark is demands persistance, but such persistance also demands forever vigilance to protect what they have built as it can be wiped at any moment. rust may be toxic, but if you get big raided and lose everything, the worst that happens is you have to find new versions of what you lost, with ark, you lose wnywhere from hours to weeks of time and effort put into dinos, buildings, and player levels. its a flawed system for a competetive multiplayer game, but there isnt anything anyone can do about it

plus with rust, its not about turtling up and constantly farming, its about going out and exploring, meeting new people and fighting people you find out in the wild. when said people you fight out in the wild are on a lvl 300 giga and one shot you and every structure in your base, its not challenging for them, and its not fun for you

ark is built around pve with pvp slapped on

now, if there where servers that disable tames, i could see that being far more fun imo

it would need boosted harvest rates and weight per level, but it would make fighting players something actually pheasable instead of who spent the most weeks and got the luckiest with how they bred their gigas

You need to understand that any given dino species belongs to a spawn "group" along with several other species, in a given area. If there are too many of the other species present, the one you want won't ever spawn. Destroywilddinos resets all that and you start fresh

It's the 50,50 bug, it's been around forever. It's like a reverse Bermuda Triangle - things that go missing other places show up there. Sometimes it rains dinosaurs. Sometimes structures show up there. I don't think anyone's figured out why it happens.

One high level deer with good saddle rest we use stegs/theri personal preference, high damage shottys, deer tries to take dragon aggro than run/hide under dragon dragon with attempt to bite everyone unloads the shottys into the heat, repeat process. Stegs are better cause you can shoot without dismount, theri helps for dealing with the dimorphs an Pts that’s how we’ve always done it and we run it at least 2x a day

well they are probably technically right on that, now that they say you require an SSD to run ASA 😛 it most likely has a bit shorter loading times, on that SSD than ASE had on its required HDD ^^ monkeyparade all of them

I have not played ase so I don't know how it loads In lol but for me on asa once I put in server password and join it takes me like 3-5 seconds

exit game
right click game in steam , manage , browse local files ,
look in the files double click to go through these folders , shootergame/config
in there you will see a file , defaultgameusersetting.ini , double click it (shud open in notepad) in that file add this line

save it
restart game , do a dino wipe and you shud be good
if its still not 150 max, turn maximum dificult off an try again

To be fair, it LOADS faster. It's slower after that, though. ASE used to easily take a minute loading even on a NVME SSD with a good CPU. ASA takes a few seconds.

free version is fine for basic stuff if u know how to just change ini settings anyway , as the free version doesnt include an option for harvest settings
Most of the things in paid version , average user doesnt really need .
i own it becuase i ran alot servers for years an it it was worth it to me for the ease
besides its cheap anyway .

with out two servers a little tricky , i generally reccomend having two, one that stays constant as a home base server , then have one to rotate through as you please

Having looked at my explorer notes page, I can see some oddities...

Raptor note has a blue circle in the top right with a tick in it, but it has a padlock on it (i've been back to this note and I definitely have it unlocked...)

some don't have a blue circle at all, but aren't locked.

i think im playing atm with 6x taming speed 2x harvest speed, a little more 1.5 weight per level, and got the breeding/imprinting to where the longest thing takes 2 hours to hatch and like 2 hours to mature and only have to imprint once lol

Sometimes the host starves just before the bug kills it and you don't get a bug. Seems a server issue. We have found feeding it a veggie cake just before it births fixes that as it heals our bronto enough it dies from the bug hatching instead of starvation. Rare but it happens about 1 out of every 25 or 30 bugs for us
