big difference from crashing and having fps issues. crashing can be related to game or to pc. fps issues 9/10 are pc issues. i did not have to turn off clouds to not crash or to get good fps. and im getting anywhere from 60-90 fps

The issues people are having seem to be case by case. Not everyone is getting the same issue. I get 30-50 fps on high/epic and crash often. The Vault has a bug where if you open one after the other to fast it crashes you. But it’s hard to replicate

That’s 90% of people. It’s not a hardware issue. Have a friend with a water cooled 4090 and 12900k. He gets fps drops from opening metal doors and some other stuff. It’s just a feature not a bug my other friend with a 3080ti has the issue to

You can get a Geforce Now Ultimate membership for 20 dollars and stream the PC to your computer or streaming device with a 4080. It can output 120 fps, HDR and runs Ark on High-Epic settings in 4k. Literally the cheapest, most efficient way to play imo.

Some of those settings have higher performance costs than others. Some, drastically so. If you tweak around the settings, you can probably get it running at 60+fps in 4K. Don't know that for sure, as I have a 3080, but mine runs in 4K at 60+ on medium settings (and there have been improvements since release, as I used to sit around 40fps).

I have a dated Laptop in the living room. I installed Geforce Now, got the ultimate membership and loaded up Ark. It literally runs the game at 60 fps on nearly all epic settings. No delay, no latency issues. Feels like it's local. You guys should check out Geforce Now. Nvidia has really stepped up their game.

I loaded it up and was blown away. It's so seamless. The one issue I found is that it doesn't keep your mods since when you disconnect and reconnect it's a cloud PC. So if you use mods on unofficial you'll have to re-download them each time you start the game. Other than, 10/10.

I feel like they didn’t adjust the UI in settings very well for the consoles. I hate having to drag and click on sliders and move a cursor around with a controller. It feels so clunky. Also having issues seeing all of the mods. It won’t let me go to the next page of mods, and sometimes they don’t even show up when I go to that section.

Which shouldn’t be a thing on a PC that meets system requirements. Everyone’s PC may be different so I get making adjustments there, but on console it should look good and work well from the get go.. in my opinion.
