from my point of view, the rhy concept needs improvement: you have to kill any rhy to get the pheromone. then you have to find another rhy female so she can impregnate a tame. Your tame dies in the process, possibly the rhy female as well. What comes out is a single rhy baby. With the low spawn rate it takes forever.

If there are 30-40 players on the Island map, how many have a real chance to have a rhy baby?

if it were a question of sharing, it would be enough to clean the swamps, but that is not what is happening

Complaining that it does too much when it’s a end game creature? It’s meant to be that busted once you get everything it needs, hell it’s really hard to get a max level one

The craving mechanic with what I’ve seen is the hard part sense it asks for the most random things like element and what not, hell even big eggs like giga eggs and carcha eggs. That is one of the most annoying factors to even get one. The host issue is fine tho sense brontos seem to be the best method to get one

Where even though it's an "end game creature" it is entirely possible to get one early on, and since killing one, then getting it to impregnate your dino really ain't that difficult in my experience. The only thing you need is a bit of luck when it comes to the cravings

You get an early one and it’s got garbage levels in which it’s not as good if you use something like a trike as the host. The best method is to use a battle ready heavily mutated giga or carcha as the host and fill the craving thing which costs A LOT of resources and time to even do in which that is what makes this thing hard to even obtain if you desire a really good one so no I see this as a fitting thing for old ark to get as it’s last creature. We actually needed a really good flier instead of sticking with stuff like griffins, wyverns and snow owls. That and there’s the skiff which is still one of the best vehicles for helping harvesting tames. This thing is just good in combat all around and it’s a pain in the ass to even get so I’d say it’s worth every bit to get one that’s high level

There’s still uses for other things like snow owls and griffins. Griffins due to the mobility and being able to shoot off their backs and snow owls for their healing and heat speaking ability, this thing is strong but as said, hard to get a good level one which is the main goal sense it’s best to have a good level one instead of a crappy low level which can barely carry anything and has low stam.

Looked into the breeding, by the looks of it we don’t really need a high level one it purely matters what the host stats are and if you can get all the cravings met before it comes out and there is a way to farm babies from the rhy, you can get a female into a trap and once in the trap you can then weaken it and get your take of choice into the trap and you then have a infinite source of Rhys and infinite chances to getting a good one as long as it stays in the trap

I have ~60 hrs in the game, but i didn't really craft anything until now, as most of these were handled by others, it's only now that i play alone that i realized how much of a pain it is to constantly switch between stuff, and most of all to have them relocated all the time

That’s the same one I’m watching and yeah it depends on the females level, higher the level the more points it will transfer as well as if you can max the cravings

you need a big dino (bronto, giga, carchar) with good stats (those are pulled to make the rhynios stats) and fill all the cravings. as well as a good female rhynio that you use.

Atleast in terms of the size those are the best hosts to use for the rhy but the best potential goes to the bronto, easiest to tame and breed to get good stats on it and once those are transferred the rhy will have everything from that parent, the stat points and colors somewhat

You’ll get a pheromone from the kill once you do find a high level female (For the best results) lower it’s hp to a specific percentage (About 10-20 percent if I recall) once you do that feed the tamed Dino the pheromone (Gigas, carchas and brontos give the best result) once you do give the bug a minute and it will do a unique animation and impregnate the tame. Once done DO NOT Cryo the tame, if you do it will kill the embryo. Be sure to have things ready on the side for its cravings.

Best bet, trap the female in 5 behemoth gates and if you want you can scum the embryo craving thing by cryoing the tame and then reset the embryo making process sense the female stays unlike the reaper
