You can only preserver prime crystal (and wyvren milk) in the preserving bin + salt. Tho that's only for some 8-9 hrs or so. At least thats how it works on Steam... not sure if Playstation works any different ..

you only need 1 male . more females are good. you can also enable mating on them to get fertilized eggs which you can use for either breeding or kibble as well.

Faced a problem, help who knows how to solve.
The essence of the problem is that I play through Steam, played the local version of the game, then abandoned it and switched to official servers. Now I decided to return to the local version on another computer (the same Steam account), but there are no game saves ... your local file doesnt get saved in the steam cloud as far as i know. so if you dont have access to your other pc its probably gone.

Doubtful - I play using the GeForce NOW service and there each new session is essentially a new computer. So before that, everything worked fine and every time everything that was needed was loaded, but today I decided to go in to see what was there and found that there were no saves. I went into the properties of the game, in the incentive, and there it says "0 files in the cloud", as if someone had deleted them.

ok maybe an ark patch wiped existing local files. i personally only use local files to test out stuff, you shouldnt do your main playthrough in it, it has bugs anyway.

So where to play so that everything does not disappear then, if not on the local version? They decided to close the servers, local files do not guarantee safety ... I mean a game launches, then years later it ends as something new begins. It’s how everything works. Looking at it as “time wasted” takes away from the time you had while playing the game. Every game ends at some point and then you just remember the fun you had while it was playing

You are wrong - over time, any normal game will no longer be supported, but! But the local version of the game, single player, remains available at any time and cloud saves do not disappear on their own due to the next patch. And speaking specifically about ARK, the game is very good in terms of thoughtfulness, but the implementation from the point of view of programmers leaves much to be desired, as well as server administration. Two months ago I sent a ticket about problems, but nothing was solved, as a result, in a day, at least half an hour is added to the time when I need to pay attention to the dyno, the server lags so much. By the way, recently, due to lags, I lost 2 top dinos when moving to another map. Would you say something else, that everything is fine here and that's how it should be?! No matter how much you love this game, but you have to face it - it's not normal when your progress disappears due to bugs, and the servers are closed after a few months after you bought all the add-ons. Then they would make add-ons free, since the game will no longer be supported, but no - you buy the old game and add-ons, and then pay for the same game, but in a different wrapper. This is in addition to the fact that even now you are buying bugs that have not been fixed in 5 years.

I don’t know what anyone got for reporting exploits, but read carefully, I’ve only had a lot of problems and bugs this one month - due to bugs I lost the top dinos that I grew for a long time, due to lags on the server I died several times losing valuable things, I lost one dino when the server crashed and the dino simply disappeared after the rollback of the save and there are a lot of such problems, I just named those that I quickly remembered. And that's the question - give me back the dino, but no, you have to go through seven circles of hell searching for where to write, what to write and spend a lot of time to be told "sorry dude, well, it happened" and even then, if they answer, because I repeat - it's been more than a month since I sent a ticket and it was not considered. And really - why fix or improve something when everything will close soon, and the fact that I paid money for the game, for add-ons and as a result I can’t play normally, nobody cares. I sometimes get a problem with the game downloading the update on the wrong drive and then it takes hours updating pretty much the whole game on the other drive.

See if the files are being downloaded to the wrong drive and change that. Maybe if the drive is full steam will download to another one. It’s a bit weird, I remember having some trouble fixing this problem, but it doesn’t happen anymore.

It'll still want care, but may want something different from milk is what they're saying.

If you cryo it, it stops its growth. So if you dont have what you need for it, keep cryoing and casting until it asks for a walk or a cuddle.

Seems to be a major issue going on lately. I recommend restarting ark, logging into the same map via single player, wait 5 mins, then log out. Then go to your map you wish to load into, and try again.

there's two fairly good ways. either taming and breeding up some theriz and going in with veggie cakes, or taming a bunch of high level megalosaurus and using them to cheese the boss

theriz are good for dragon because they don't take as much damage from being on fire as rex or allo, and veggie cakes allow them to heal very quickly during the fight

so going in with 22000hp and 1000+md gives you a good shot at beating it

megalosaurus are good because their night buff makes them invisible to the boss so long as you're riding something like a theriz or a yuty. you can position the megs in a cluster in front of the boss and he simply can't pathfind his way through

he gets stuck on the clump of megalos and they can attack him with impunity until he takes off again

Use theri yuti for solo, rhino shotgun or magmasuar velos if you have a tribe

Or if you want you can try to use a single deinonychus

sometimes he can pathfind around before he gets trapped, and often times he'll hop back into the sky when he takes enough damage

the issue is you have to wait for night when the megalos just wake up

Breeding Feroxes works a bit differently than normal dinos.

Feroxes have 2 forms that the game reconizes as seprate dinos, the small form ferox, and the large form ferox. Small feroxes will reroll their stats after transforming to the large ferox based on the small ferox's level, meaning breeding for just health and melee is essentially pointless, as the stats will just be randomized upon transforming into the large form. Now with that being said, you still can get a good ferox from breeding, you'd just need to breed for levels, or maximize every stat. The higher level the ferox, the more points will be randomized into each stat.

you can change the wild dino torpor setting, so they drop quicker if you lower it

pretty sure if you raise the dino resistance it increases torpor per shot/hit but also kills dinos quicker so if you want you should decrease the wild dino torpor so they knock out quicker

You grapple it if it's a body. If it's a bag, you need to soak to get to it or bring a riot shield and good armor to tank till you get your stuff
