But i didn't bring anything in with me on the maps until extinction, started fresh and then brought my other character over when it was time to fight the boss so I have the one character raising their max level to cap

Started fresh wow, I had everything at a main base on The Island and went to each map building a small protective tower basically and transferred gd dinos home to breed etc…

man aberration i feel was honestly so much more fun starting fresh. I loved the fact that you pop out of the portal room to the south west of it, and you can already look down over a cliff edge that drops STRAIGHT down to the pink zone, but you have literally no feasible way of getting up and down.. queue adventure music

apparently the raw lat by long size of aberration is nearly identical to the island, which is an absolute fckin trip because that map feels 5 times bigger than the island with the labyrinth of the pink area and the verticality of it all

Its not so hard, when i was taming them i was using nets to ground them then place 2 or 3 dino gates one on neck, one on tail and one in middle body, net works for 40-60s depends of dino, whem Mana freed himself hebis unable to jump away.

Hello everyone, I am new to the Ark Discord but not the game 🙂 I have an issue I hope someone can help with. I love Ark (my favorite game), I had to take a break from it a while back for health reasons and it was uninstalled. I was able to return to playing and went to re-install Ark to get back to the fun, but I am no longer able to install the game. I get the game to 100% and I get 1 of 2 errors each time I try. The 1st error is "write disk error" and the second is "corrupted file data". I have done a complete wipe of Ark on my PC and even a full re-install of Steam (twice) and still get the same errors. I was thinking there may be an issue with my SSD, so I tried a different one and still get the same errors, the drives work perfectly fine for every other game or program I use just not Ark. In the last 2 weeks I have tried 7 different SSD's and I get the same error for every attempt at installing the game. My PC has been checked and everything is running perfectly. Is there anyone who might have an answer or tip regarding my issue? My PC specs are AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX
X399 E-ATX HEDT Motherboard
128 gig DDR4
8 TB SSD
ROG Strix GTX 1080ti

I literally spent 3 hours server jumping trying to find a server to start on. The way the game is designed it is a waste of time for a new player to try and play on an official server because the game mechanics allow a Single Veteran Player to tie up entire regions of the map by putting foundations around entire starting beaches and hill sides areas. From what I could see you might as well name those servers after the players that own all the land because no one else can play on them.

I tried to start on several servers for over 3 hours but literally died just trying to put a camp fire down before I froze or starved to death. Then I tried to run inland and died from lack of water before i could run far enough inland to put down a camp fire. There needs to be some sort of penalty or foundation removal for players that literally just put down single foundations so no one else can play. Starting beach areas should destroy all items older than 20 or 30 days so new players do not get frustrated and quit. I finally just started my own unofficial server as existing servers have no room near water and are unplayable. If you are a new player and do NOT want to start your own server my recommendation is find another game.

Not trying to be critical but the way single players can manipulate an entire server is really busted IMO.

Taming efficiency is only reduced when you use inferior Kibble, so if a Dino wants Exceptional, and you give Simple it’s not going to work effectively, but the other way around is obviously better

I mostly make Exceptional but that’s coz I’ve been breeding Rexes like cray cray so had an abundance of Rex eggs

You can take 20 dinos in to the Boss fight, most ppl kinda super breed their dinos, mutations, imprinting, lvls, colours… the works and it takes time, also ppl use support dinos which are also bred well, like Yuty’s for Boost, Daedons for Healing, there’s numerous ways to defeat the bosses though 👍🏼

Hi haven't played the game in a bit and getting a private server to play with friends looking to activate the option to unlock all engrams when you hit each level like when you hit level 2 it unlocks everything for lvl 2 etc what mod / setting is this I've forgot

there are 2 ways to do it (more if you count mods but you don't need them)
the first is bAutoUnlockAllEngrams=true in game.ini but I and a lot of others have issues with that one
the second is putting each in manually with EngramEntryAutoUnlocks=(EngramClassName="<index>",LevelToAutoUnlock=<value>)
don't worry about having to actually do that there are pastebins that already have everything

best thing to do for now is to set up what will possibly be your future greenhouse, build a couple storage boxes beside it to store some stone and wood. once you've got the base down, gather a couple stacks of stone, and after that just do whatever you like until you level up. explore, tame something, kill stuff, build a little bungalow
