dont put them right at your bases walls because as previously mentioned, friendly fire. aside from that, theyre cheap (even the metal ones are super cheap) and can keep out just about anything that isnt 60 metres tall. though, they arent the best defence and walls are for sure better but the former is so easy to make and place down that i'd rather compromise a little defence for my sanity

I've read on forums from months ago they were able to tame higher level cave dinos. But I tried with a 275 wolf and it wouldn't eat.

Probably. Easy to test by placing one thatch foundation inside and one outside, and compare the damage from one hit. @umbral dust

If they are not near other velos they are easy to tame, just shoot tranqs at them while standing very near them

They only shoot u if u are far away, their melee attack is weak
