This would be the second time this has happened; the last time was just over two weeks ago, when it was finally reactivated after being disabled for almost two weeks. So, people who were, for example, griefers four weeks ago, now have to wait another 16 days to finally be able to destroy other players' structures who haven't been online since Easter. This is a problem.

I understand both; & if in doubt, the latter would be more important to me too; I can understand it bc back then i was also stuck on a stranger's server with my character for over a week & couldn't render my base on the main server, so pausing decay was definitely helpful. Then you just have to wait a few more days until you can dismantle annoying structures built by offline players, but at least you don't destroy the progress of many still-active players. You're right about that ✌️

While I usually can't change others, i can at least start with myself & that's my general conviction. I love the game. I love the developer of WC but I do have to be honest..Communication through the actual game itself like the server messages would be nice. When they do or are about to do something like transfer disable. If everyone knew on game what was happening..at least 70% of people would have not tried to transfer. Sometimes discord notifications are slightly delayed or we don't have our phone or pc at the ready. In game server messages for an action soon to happen would be great. At least I would think. Could be wrong.

Everyone whos lost character don’t create a new one your original is still there just invisible in that sense. Once they patch the bug the character is still there it will be available to download.

If you made a new character when they fix it just kill that character and don’t respawn just go to download character and all fixed

these unclustered servers allow downloads from SP/Non-dedicated. they share the same data. although the SP worlds limit you to 50/50, the unofficial servers when you start a nitrado server let you go well past 273/154 but it seems to corrupt your local profile and you have to wipe your cache

edit: so i’m trying to figure out what the hard cap is before boom

edit 2: my characters i’ve created from SP are deleting them selves if I go past a certain point. I essentially have to make a char on an unofficial then transfer it to SP

You need implant ID number, its on your implant itself, account name and character name doesn't really matter, you can have multiple characters on the same account just cant go to the same server if you have character on it

The only thing to do is wait for them to resolve the issue, and hope people characters are in upload. But upload data will for sure be gone, happened a few weeks ago same thing, theres nothing they can do for upload data. Even if they rollback it will not save the data itself, once its deleted from data theres no chance getting it back, am on official 1x and same happened with tribemates everyone's upload was eaten
