How to handle Bulwarks
plasma gun, someone kite it while the rest of everyone beats it from behind, wait for it to attack so you can just shoot it, basically anythign that staggers ruins its day and krak nades are instant kills, with the damage bonus you can get whole packs if youre lucky

That. I like the bolt gun. Check in the weapons screen "V" (inspect) and "E" (view attack breakdowns). You'll probably want to bring at lease 1 weapon that can do decent damage against carapace or a weapon with a trait that "rends". Krak grenades with nade regen are one good option for veterans IMO -- there will come a point when you run out of grenades.
I can't read. Bulwarks. Bolt gun. A lot of weapons will one shot stagger them.
If you are soloing with a non-stagger melee weapon attack after the swing or try dodging left past the shield to land hits.
vet you can deal bulwark with plasma or bolter
can also open the shield with hellbore 3 (terms and condition may apply)
if its 1-3 bulwark just wait for them to swing their club and counter attack so they get staggered
if the amount of bulwark is 5+ they can form linebacker formation and surround you (pray there's no crusher or trapper behind)

but there's a funny condition on hellbore 3
the bulwark need to be stationary and the first hit must be fully charged shot
if not they gain somekind of stagger resistance
Slug shotty can also open them up - the Agripinaa one. 5 shots out of any shotgun will stagger them -- but -- that's sort of desperation stuff IMO. Zealot hammers and the crusher can knock down the shield guard with a single powered hit.
Ogryn with a knife can upper-cut them 3 times on the shield to guard break and stagger lock them -- or just try to get in one good uppercut from the side for a stagger lock. Power maul can guard break them on the shield when charged. Rumbler sticky grenades ignore the frontal arc block -- you can stick them to a bulwark's weapon arm or sides pretty easily. They won't stagger on a shield hit -- so --just don't aim for the shield.
A decent psyker with a trauma staff should be able to hold back literally everything except bosses given a bit of space -- the trauma staff knocks down everything -- and does pretty decent damage against everything. On a side note, the push on the force sword can knock down every man sized enemy except chargers. It's nice to be able to toss around maniacs mid-combo if required.
I play a lot of bleed crit zealot with the old combat knife -- and I just dodge to the left side and stab the heck out of them with heavy attacks. I also play with a lot of bolter instead of revolver because of how ridiculously easily bolters deal with bulwark waves. And honestly -- if you aren't in a good place to fight them -- use space. Back up and get into a more open area -- preferably with a staircase. Kite the bulwark(s) up the stairs and then jump the rail to land in a better position. Or vault some cover to force the bulwark(s) to path around to you.
Hi there, Do penances stack with allies of the same class in a team? also when are the good times to use stun grenades?
Trying to do Zelot panaces
throw a stun if you feel you're about to be or are overwhelmed, especially if you notice your team is bad at killing/stunning things like groups of crushers
sometimes I even just throw one in the general direction of my team who might be in the middle of a fight if I see one taking damage or something
a well placed stun grenade can save an entire team, but at that point ig you could say the same for all nades

The max roll (theoretical 100%) is maxed at 0.85, meaning it's impossible for the weapon to hit 1.00
This screenshot is a 79% roll, so almost maxed, and it still is only 0.79
but since these are being used as multipliers, doesn't that mean that your crit/weakspot hits are guaranteed to LOSE damage even with a perfect roll? You can never get a bonus, you are simply rolling to get the "least bad" outcome?

What does the “Light 1” attack say it does on crit and weakspot? You’re looking at the stat breakdown, can you share the attack breakdown?
There’s a guy on YT, “j_sat” I think, who reverse-engineered the damage calculations like 10 months ago
388 on weakspot/crit, 471 on crit weakspot, 264 base (unarmoured)
His info may not be up to date, but it may be the closest to what you want
So Light 1 weakspot to Unarmored, clearly does more than Light 1 body to Unarmored

I don't know if anyone can help me or not, but I've been having some major issues with lagging out in games. It only happens in the evenings when I play. I join a match and everything seems to be fine until either the first or second horde spawn where I lag out and disconnect. After that I can reconnect but I lag horribly. This started recently after that last couple of patches, at first I thought it was my ISP but I called and talk to them and they can't see anything wrong on their end plus when I play other games I don't have any lag/DC issues.
I've done some searching online, but haven't found anyone else having similar issues. I just want to play the game.
You might try connecting to o a different region. Also maybe there’s a firmware update for your computer’s network adapter?

By the sounds of it, Smite was randomly hitting torso, head, arms, legs etc, but now theyve made it how it used to be and ONLY hits the torso. meaning, it doesnt proc all your Crit chance boosts anymore.
So, more consistent damage since its no longer hitting arms and legs and doing vastly reduced damage, but also no more weakspot/crit bonuses, like the True Aim node.
Reading the notes now. They did the same with the Surge Staff, so thats fun.

question: I have 118.48% flak penetration, do I do only 100% damage or 118.48% damage? ie over penetrant good or pointless?

The penetration stat affects how much of the damage number you would deal to flak is actually applied. So if you would have dealt 100 damage to a flak hit, you would actually deal 118.48% of 100 instead.
Stats like stopping power and others have this effect.
And are major contributors of damage, even more so than the base damage stat bar.

did the update reset melk's store? this morning i saw a snub pistol with lvl 4 blessing with rending and 17 hours till reset. looked this evening weapon gone. i didn't have enough monies 😦

Both laspistols should be in the same “weapon family”

As long as the weapon is the same type of gun (for example a kantreal and columnus bracegun) then you can use the blessing you got from the other to put it in another weapon mark

This means that when you deal critical hit damage to a weak spot, the amount of damage that the crit (not the base damage) provides is boosted by 80%.
Critical weakspot damage does not mean your final damage total is increased by %.
The additional damage of the crit separate from the base damage is boosted.

Does the Born Leader talent in the Veteran tree only count the missing toughness you actually replenish as "replenished toughness", or even if you are at full toughness, Born Leader gives your allies 15% of what you would have replenished had your toughness not been already full?
Yes
It's only providing for toughness that you replenish, as far as I know. Toughness replenishment being defined by Fatshark as toughness earned from non-coherency regen sources.
Since it doesn't say "would Replenish", I'd take that to mean it only provides 15% of toughness you gain if you had less than max toughness first.
You had to have taken toughness damage in order for toughness to be replenished from kills in the first place.

I had been talking to him just fine for awhile and that just happened. I had just talked to him, doubled back because I forgot something, and the game crashed after I initialized conversation.

I don't know, but I do know that I can't activate my special abilities without blocking, and on guns it's useless. -UNLESS- for some reasons it's a lazgun's torch.

I been messing around with Headhunter Autoguns, am I crazy or when you crit using the Mk9 and with the Surgical blessing your second shot always crits or is tremendous luck? I tried it 20 times and got crits on both shots each time.
there's crit string, the both shot probably count as 1 crit altogether
That's kinda neat, too bad their maniac damage is god awful though. Getting multiple headshots against a pack of ragers is quite a challenge.

Are you using the weapon customization mod?
Yes, another thing to note, hitmarkers dont show up ONLY while ADS'ed

It's turned off by default with the latest version.
It's important to note that it has a setting that removes the crosshair and another that makes it an ironsight crosshair
Ironsight removes the crosshair and keeps the hitmarker, none removes the crosshair and the hitmarker
Ironsight is the default for pretty much every ADS weapon

I have gotten tier IV blessings from base rating 310, I have seen them life being gotten from rating 302. It does not seem to affect the chance of getting higher tier blessings, is just that making a weapon blue has lower chances of giving you tier IV than III.

I preferred 360+ base rating weapons, but that was also because I was hunting for a weapon I could use at the same time.

The fan will guarantee you kill it if you point the gun in its general direction 
i don't think that's it, cause after you get used to the normal one you can do so with a normal revolver

no piercing makes it feel worse in most scenarios

well there's the possibility that i'm just that used to the overpowered state of the regular revolver, requires more analysis tho

Apparently it does reduce peril use of the other psyker blitz, but this may actually be a bad thing for some

Green enemies are nurgle blessed, they have increased damage res and almost immune to stagger. Not sure what you mean by red hued enemies if you're not referring to ogryn taunt
Plain pinged enemies could be considered “red-hue”. They have a little skull symbol floating above them. It’s simply “hey this thing is here, you might want to shoot it”
Vet’s keystone super-ping is yellow, and the skull symbol looks slightly different

Probably each map might have a small difference in one type or the other… but I haven’t noticed a surplus of either type
Groaners and Poxwalkers are your cannon fodder hordes to say the least.
Don't let that fool you though, if you get overwhelmed they can destroy you.

As far as I know infested things generally take less damage than unarmoured though
Poxwalkers and Groaners don't really need you to put damage bonuses on for them.
Maniacs, Carapace, Flak, and Infested are more important to worry about.
There's also bonus damage to Elites and Specialists.
Personally, I'd suggest min/maxing your perk choices between your weapons.
I’m using the mark v shovel on ogryn, it can take care of any big targets easily but the small enemy hordes are where it seems to struggle

Normally I use a gun-based build, and before the shovels I used the mk4 cleaver which felt much more straightforward
Yeah the new shovels can be a bit tricky.
The Shovel head being at a 90° Angle allows for better Damage towards the Elites in Armor if you play your cards right.

every enemy u melee hit blocks your weapon's ability to cut through them. this buff makes it so when you critical hit, you can hit more enemies
Like how a crusher stops your cleave, this would make it whip right though him?
even enemies without armor blocks your cleave, weapons can only cut through around 3 enemies , so even a big meaty boy is hard to cut through
Lets say your weapons has 100 cleave
Dreg body - 30 hit mass
Dreg head - 30 + 20 (flak armour) hit mass
You can swing through 3 dreg bodies but only 2 heads
Removes the buff to the enemies hit mass, that they receive from their armour
But does nothing to the actual unarmored hitmass? That seems garbage
A lot of trash chaff enemies have flak armour on them

You don't need to have Darktide running at all. The point of the web browser plugin is so you can check what Melk/the Armory exchange have without logging into Darktide.

Mission EXP payout is dependent on the difficulty level (Heresy, Damnation, etc.) and the mission modifiers (if there is one, the payout is higher).
So there isn't a meta.
It's just whichever mission you can reliably complete at a given difficulty.

question regarding the marked for death penance, seem to be having trouble getting it. Coud've sworn i hit 4 poxwalkers in the head straight with the revolver but didn't get it... does it need to be the same weak spot, so like against a beast of nurgle or something? can you not miss at all during the volley fire activation or can you miss the first shot and get 4 straight and still get it? does it have to be 4 different enemies?
Does “block efficiency” affect pushing as well, or is it just how well you can take hits while blocking?
Do normal maelstroms. They give cracked levels of experience

Since you’re theoretically good at the game you won’t need anything else for the perk slot.
But, Malice Maelstroms give more experience than a normal Damnation run.
If you think you have a Maelstrom that is too difficult to guarantee success, just look for Malice or Heresy missions with modifiers. Low intensity shock troop gauntlet jacks up the reward a ton without making it much more difficult at all
The wording might be a hint as to what you might be doing wrong, though I wouldn’t count on the game just being difficult with you.
If it has to do with getting consistent headshots, if you’re using the Revolver, you might be getting accidental penetration kills against another enemy with a bodyshot, which will null your attempt
Yeah, a decent choice for this is Kantrael 12. Good sight, hard hitting, slow firing.
The new las pistol might be a good choice too

Should be careful because some weapons aren’t obvious whether or not they have a very small degree of penetration. It’s most notable against Groaners due to the fact that they have literally 0 mass.
Therefore if any weapon has even .1 cleave, it will penetrate a Groaner to the enemy behind

Wounds are the segment in your health, when you go down and get rezed you'll go back to the max life - 1 segment
or segments in your healthbar

As to whether wound or health is better, it depends on what class you're playing
My ogryn has 537 hp but with 4 wounds
And then after that more specifically what playstyle and ur skill level and teammate competence
Yea ogryn is the class that benefits the most from health curios
You ideally run 3x Health
Because you have a titanic amount of toughness regen and resist, plus 1 more wound than all other classes in damnation
So pumping health lets you have a lot more agency

Get the Crit proc lower ability cooldown, get chorus ability and the fury keystone. Knife as a melee or little axe for melee. Make sure to grab holy rev as well. Can't help when you're dead. 2 +3 Stamina curious and 1 Wound curio since your goal should be "not dying" and focus toughness regen and ally revive speed for your curios.
Anytime you hear a buster about to burst, a flamer about to flamer or a disabled about to Christopher reeve someone. Pop chorus. That and generally keeping an eye out for groups of armor.

The tier of blessing you get is mostly random.
After you get to level 30 and therefore start seeing the highest possible max range of base ratings for items, you will also no longer get tier 2 or lower blessings upon consecrating a weapon.
Assuming you're consecrating a high base rating weapon.

Kinda, damnation almost 100% encounter
It lasts 15 seconds, and it gives you 15% increase to reload speed, -25% reduction for stamina cost for pushing, blocking and -50% for sprinting. And -33% reduction to peril generation.

What's the quickest un/ethical way to grind one character from trust 1 to 30 as a party of 4 with the other three at 30 (ie disregarding things like "load solo into auric maelstrom with randoms, pray to get carried and ruin their game")
Have your level 30 party members queue regular Damnation
Can also try bringing you to Auric for more exp, if you can hold your own. But not necessarily do damage since your weapons are most likely shit
And you don't have your full talent points to spend. Oh and don't forget to do quickplay for better exp and docket bonuses

Wirh good enough pace you should be able to reach level 30 in about 3 hours from level 1

Crushers is full carapace
Reapers and Bulwark's flesh is Unyielding. With a combination of Flak and Carapace armor bits.
Also bosses?
Monstrosities that arent the Scab Captain and Karnak Twins are all Unyielding. Chaos Spawn in particular has a small Carapace bit iirc above their head

Toughness regen sounds good but in my experience generally provides little value. gunner damage resist is pretty good due to how many there are and how far they can hit you. Other good options are something like stam regen or corruption resist if you feel you need it.
I feel like this is wrong. A high hp boss in full Carapace? Especially with how in my games they get melted instantly sometimes

Probably not, maybe a mk4 with the right build
Dueling sword is a specialized elite and special killer
Dueling swords are best for single targets, so if you stab a mutie in the face/head that's usually a one shot or low enough health to kill with the followup swing
I typically bring something else for hordes like a purgatus when i play dueling sword
Catachan swords are best for hordeclear but are versatile enough to work on elites/specials in a pinch
The important thing about dueling sword is it has a cleave of 2 on the light attacks and i think heavy as well
I think devils claws have a base of like 6 or 7

The total modifiers are low but the distribution is very good, i think flak maniac are the perks you want on knofe

The blessing while being rank 1 doesn't scale that much and you mostly care about it being present at all for zealot
usually for knife I want to get perks on melee crit damage and crit chance
As i understand first target, which may be wrong, it only modifies attacks that hit more than one target, which your heavies dont ever do
Light attacking hordes with a knife is a desperate maneuver generally they're not really meant for it
The armor type damage perks are just too good tbh i can't imagine trading them for 4%crit or 10%crit damage

Okay, I'm gonna come right out and in front of the God-Emperor and all you Varlots. I had been complaining about my Chainswords ability to rev not working, except while blocking. I had figured out that my Razor Naga's fucking customizable side-backing, the one that had twelve buttons. Is faulty, it's not working on the game. I swapped it out for a standard two button side-plate. It works perfect. 2000% on user end, and I am stupid.

I had a question, when you learn a blessing, is it forever and you can transfer it to other weapons, or is it kind of a one-one, where you learn it, and can transfer it, then it's unlearned?
Its permanent for the weapon family
I learned uncanny strike once and applied it to a mk 4 and a mk 5 saber for instance
if you extract a blessing from infantry lasgun on vet you can put the extracted blessing on zealot infantry lasgun as long as the type is "infantry lasgun"
the only weird one is psyker staff, all staff have separate blessing pool

Devil's Claw Mk1. I'm struggling against Dreg enemies, especially Bruisers.
It also struggles more than it should against pox/groaner hordes.
Ogryn shove taunt ability seems to not be working on Monstrosities including Daemon Host. Anyone else noticing this?
What are you using it on? A vet? The blessings you're using are kind of meh for horde clear. Impact just makes stagger effects greater.
Psyker with Destiny.
Parry is my rager/crusher/mauler insurance when they sneak up.
Nice horizontal sweeps, too.
I mean, you can continue to use it, but there are a lot of other things you can use in the psyker kit to deal with them. If you REALLY just like the Devil Claw, you're going to want to get some better blessings.
Impact is kind of trash.
I've got a similar Ilisi to yours, and yeah, it way outperforms the Devil's Claw in all situations. But the poor stagger sometimes leaves me high and dry versus Ragers et al, so...
I'll try swapping out the blessings like you said. Don't have many unlocked for DC yet, but I'll get there.
Smite left click helps with that. You can also use a surge or voidstrike to knock them over.
Smite left click has a lot of stagger, whereas the right click does more damage.
It just kind of depends on what you're trying to build out towards.
Are you doing staff or gun psyker?
Surge staff.
Yeah, just use your staff to deal with them, then. They fixed the targeting with it, so it is much more reliable.

i use mk4 duelling sword
If you find yourself running out of stamina, just grab some stam curios. The Blaze Force sword isn't as crazy as it used to be, but you can still shove the ragers down. The Mk IV can stagger maulers and crushers on heavy attack.
Yeah, the dueling sword is great unless you get a big rush of them. You can easily tank Daemonhosts with it, though, hahah
