Ironically, the 'sprint dodge reaper shots' was the last one I needed. Because reapears ironically tend to be not as big an issue as gunners as long as they don't form a huge a stack since they're such huge targets.

Yeah I ended up finishing that reaper dodge shots one last time they had an Ogryn themed event, the waking giants or rumbling giants one. Having a block of reapers was a good excuse to get some side sprinting going before they're taken out quickly.

I think it might be to do with killing blow maybe, a lot of time when someone goes down even if it's to an elite it's the huge crowd of specialists that are doing the most attacks, even if the damage isn't high, so the likelihood of the final killing blow being a groaner instead of a crusher who's attacks are slower is greater.
That's my theory anyway.

Yeah but even the Chaos Spawn which I think has the lowest HP of the original monsters is still a major threat because it hounds tf out of everyone, ignores taunts, and can quite literally jump across the room.
The packmaster is supposed to constantly spawn dogs if I remember the blog post correctly but I'm not sure any one of them I fought ever did that. His damage is also super low, it felt like.
Right now he feels like a Chaos Spawn but... worse, really. The Cspawn is already the hyper-aggro glass cannon boss. I feel like if they made the Packmaster a boss with some low-level tactics (tactical retreats, prioritizing the person with the lowest HP/Toughness) then he might have a stronger place in the boss roster.

Yes, the Chaos Spawn can be very aggressive and lethal when it spawns alongside a big mixed horde, just like the Beast of Nurgle. As for the Plague Ogryn, it would only be dangerous if it charges you by surprise and knocks you off the map or also when it traps you in a corner and there is no way out
But it is true, the Packmaster doesn't seem to do much damage per hit compared to the others

For sure. Tbf it's only two dogs, and even the armored ones are easy to deal with (a funny dichotomy from the community freakout when they were first announced). But if he at least gets a damage buff it could go a long way to making him feel more dangerous on his own and not just because of his dogs.
After that they could do some gradual lever-pulling with his numbers and abilities.

Imagine everyone being used to the linear gameplay and then launching them into a open area to do objectives and not fight everything you see, and then be fast on top of it looting and scavenging like you need plasteel for the your first weapon, and then on top of that PRAYING the rest of your team is locked in so you can collectively earn enough to unlock the next areas
I literally couldn't be asked to play expeditions because every lobby was pain trying to get people to go and stand in a single point for it go faster or just being a murder hobo
I wanna like expeditions but on god do it with a party / group / friends so you're on the same page

Personally I find the older modes more enjoyable, expeditions is a lot of empty space and no real reward for grinding it out. After playing it 5-10 times you’ve seen it all, it was novel for a while but mortis and normal modes are just superior in my eyes
Fun for a change of pace, but mortis already filled that niche and I enjoy those more. But not something that will replace my bread and butter of auric maelstroms and havocs

@ the rest : I do wish they'd fix the whole issue of people not wanting to maintain cohesion but this is also a problem in normal matches too, only exacerbated by the non-linear nature of expeditions, and less prevalent in Mortis Trials because of how those maps are laid out to force people in the same general tight quarters to complete objectives
They should also reduce the grind

I really enjoy that mode when people cooperate, it's very fun to run around wreaking havoc while collecting shit, but it needs some tune ups for sure (especially because a lot of this playerbase is... Something else in the brain department)

Personally my main gripe with expeditions is just: "How am I getting something different out of the main game mode."
I do like expeditions, visually it's a change of pace I guess, but I'd get a bigger variety of environments through playing normal missions. There's typically more action in adventure mode.
The worst part for me though is that the points of interest feel... Very uninspired. Sit around wait for interrogator to finish in an area, or parkour. This is some payday 3 tier objectives.
I know a lot of people talk about how expeditions wasn't chaos wastes 2, which honestly I dont mind that it wasn't but it doesn't do enough to ever be something I'd want to log onto the game to do.
TLDR: doesn't do enough to distinguish itself from the main game, main collectible being kinda useless is also a big factor but boring objectives and lack of anything interesting is.. yeah. Hopefully skitarii update's new area has something interesting.
