Few questions - Why is a deal which MS bad? Is the platform you mention not open to same type of deal in the future if it becomes big enough? If it does not become big enough, how do we know it wont be shut down or users will refuse to move over as its not that well known? If the issue is that major, why dont we move to slack or a de-centralized system like Element (aka Matrix)?

To answer the first few: IDK why people are hating MS and this deal so much. Just seems like a lot of people are moving and was curious about your stance on it. Personally, IDC about the deal but would much rather this server be on guilded for features that you guys can use. Calendars (which can also say who is going to the event also) for events, polls, and forms for Polls\QOTW, threads for the support channel so it's less cluttered, and much more. It would be hard to say all the features and their use cases without just saying “you should check it out and see”. The app's performance has been getting improved a ton recently and bot API is just around the corner. And it'll be super easy for you guys to make the switch, using the Discord Template feature, it'll copy over your channels, categories, and roles to a server! It lets users use all emotes across every server. Even the little things like server Subscriptions (like Patreon) and level Reward built-in.
