@tawdry helm and everyone having a problem with forced dark mode on google pages:
if you've used extensions like stylus/stylish to use custom css on pages, you will find that custom themes break pretty frequently
from what i've seen its because google changes the html/css classes of the different elements often (and css themes are applied by class)
the extensions like dark reader and illumify do it by applying a general css rules to most elements that might contain text/images appropriately
obv this doesnt offer much customization hence stylus is used for themes other than just grey-dark
and as far as i can tell force dark pages uses a mixture of custom css crafted for some websites and general rules for others
so.....

Whenever RAM limiter puts google meet tab to sleep when it is in the pop-out window, when I go back to the google meet browser tab it crashes 99% of the time, and if you try to go back to the tab again once the browser restarts, it crashes again, and will keep crashing every time, and somewhere in this endless disaster, a bluescreen error will occur and then once your computer finally restarts, then everything will work fine.

Hey, with the latest update. Screenshot extension is not working properly. I used to be able to take ss when scrollingi but now it is gone. It was gone for opera with the last update, now it is gone for gx too.

Maybe different presets that a user can make for GX Control. I always find myself changing between what I let it be during normal youtube watching or what ever and what I have it when playing a game. I have discovered that Google (well YouTube) is tracking search results in Opera also and they are currently going into a lawsuit for this with their Chrome.

I am being constantly recommended videos on YouTube which I have watched in Incognito mode (not logged in to YouTube in incognito). This is a crime but I don't know where to report it. I was posting it here in the hopes someone form Opera can become aware and let their company know, or someone can point me in the direction to where I can report this.

Is anyone else noticing this?

This is not a coincidence like I first thought it was.

-Watched a trailer about the movie Turning Red (never heard of it prior) in incognito and then YouTube was showing me tons of content related to this movie.
-Watched a video on Betta fish incognito = Recommendations around rescuing Betta fish or keeping them as pets.
-Watched a few videos on Video Editing in incognito = Tons of videos related to video editing software.
-Incognito watched 2 videos about planes (specifically fighter planes) = Now being recommended fighter jet plane videos.
-Incognito watched a few vegan food video reviews = Recommended ONLY vegan related food videos.
-I also watched this exact video in Incognito =

It was a completely random find form another website. It's now showing in my recommendations.

I think so yes... All chromium based browsers have the ability to turn any website into a pwa, usually under the "more tools" menu and create shortcut, then checking a box that says "open as window"... As far as I know opera is the only exception that doesn't have this ability

Edge is a bit different, it opens up pop up the ask you if you wish to "install" the website if memory serves

It's handy for running server-based applications to end users in a sort of kiosk mode, or web-based chat clients when you don't need the full browser UI

When I increase the page zoom in Opera GX from the settings, the icons in the sidebar do not work properly, for example; GX Control is shifting to the right, while there are 3 channels per line on twitch, it drops to 2 channels. It can be very annoying. It would be very nice if this problem is solved as soon as possible.

hey everyone I've got 2 recommendations today,

1. ability to add games from the GX section to an easily accessible Wishlist (from sidebar or something)
2. this ones a lil tricky to explain, but I'll try my best.....
   say you want to stay up to date with developments on a particular
   game, or anything else for that matter . I'm thinking a feature which will
   highlight those certain
   keywords from the news articles section and display notifications(
   from one trusted website actively reporting on the game ) periodically
   (custom times, and number of articles to be displayed can be chosen by
   the user)
   I am in no way a programming genius, so I'm not sure if developing something like this is even possible, but I feel like it would make for a pretty slick overall browser experience.
   if any of you found my suggestion cool, react to it or something in order to gain attention by the developers/ mods/ crew.

I don't know much about it but I believe the general Opera isn't towards gaming, which would mean it attracts less specific groups and it has more competition (Chrome, Firefox, etc.) but we're talking about social networks which makes it even worse (Instagram, Facebook, etc.). With gaming social networks the only competitions are mainly Discord and some smaller ones. Though Idk what My Opera is exactly but even if it is a gaming app, some original ideas will make it way different from apps like Discord and more original (which is why I'm suggesting a Tinder type of app for gamers to find someone to play with).

Also, if My Opera is directed towards gaming, I suggest a name that really calls gamers more. But after how popular Opera GX has gotten, I assume it'll be way more known now

Maintaining a social network is (high) costly and probably would give low revenue to Opera, not to mention that it diverge from Opera main activity that is making browsers.

Yet Opera Village assumingly costed more and was more of a risk to take. While Opera Village is only for a small amount of people, it doesn't benefit Opera in their popularity. If the app becomes mainstream, it will boost the browser as well. In my opinion it'd be a good idea as the app can be implimented in the browser at default like Discord, Instagram, and Whatsapp. Opera may focus on browsers but at this point it's hard to imagine them getting a huge growth in users simply by improving the browser, which is already amazing. An app would definitely boost everything (browser and more) if it's done right. After all, there aren't many (great) gaming social networks at this point. Could be a good investment (btw everything I'm saying is based on my own logic and opinions as I in no way studied business or anything)
