Gorilla Tag’s MMR system is based on a hidden value that changes after every ranked match. You gain MMR by tagging other players, surviving longer, and winning the round. You lose MMR by getting tagged early, failing to tag anyone, or leaving the match. The system also considers the MMR of the players you're matched with. If you beat higher-ranked players, you gain more. If you lose to lower-ranked players, you lose more. It calculates your performance purely through stats like tag count, survival time, final placement, movement. This MMR is never shown exactly, only through the bar. HOWEVER, once you hit anything or near sliver or above, it's very hard to gain or rank up mmr because your mmr is much higher than the lobbys mmr, so it works again you.

I did not. I got banned for cheating when I wasn’t modding and the email from the appeal team was that I got spammed reported so they believe the 5yo more than me. In the email they never even mentioned the ban. All they said was “Your game ban appeal has been rejected after careful manual review of your account. Our auto-ban system operates based on specific thresholds and valid reports across multiple lobbies, excluding spam and mass reports to prevent unfair targeting.

Appeals often claim multiple reports from one individual or lobby, but our system effectively prevents such scenarios.

In cases of mass report incidents from this account, bans are maintained to discourage this practice.

The auto-ban system considers the past 14 days of gameplay data, while our review process spans the last 30 days. We thoroughly assess account history, previous bans, report consistency, and lobby involvement to identify potential errors. If no evidence of an unjust ban is found, it remains in place.

Whenever I try to join a room using a code (via the computer in The Stump), it just doesn’t work at all, totally stuck.
Even when I try to join a random public room, it takes like 5 minutes to connect.
