I think the ranking system is broken because it's based off who you tag so if you are bronze and you tag a silver you will get more mmr than tagging a bronze player and since most people started automatically on bronze it was really hard to rank up since you couldn't take anyone with a higher rank

If enough people report you for a ban however that's not false as its not easy to get enough over many many lobbies to get a ban, so if you do theres something in your behaviour causing it.
So unless you get a ban ignore it.

It’s not so the competitive players and just more so when you are around the halfway point of the bronze XP bar, any time you die (with or without tagging people) jsut brings your score down twice, for the 3rd medal of ranked I wouldn’t think it would play out like this

Completely remove or rename your Gorilla Tag folder, and reinstall, usually found here:
STEAM: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Gorilla Tag
META RIFT: C:\Program Files\Oculus

On Quest
First check your time setting are set to Auto and that the headset has the correct time.
If you can access ingame computer make sure the Troops tab is set to Default

Next step: Clearing the Appdata.

Completely remove or rename your Gorilla Tag folder, and reinstall, usually found here:
STEAM: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Gorilla Tag
META RIFT: C:\Program Files\Oculus

On Quest
First check your time setting are set to Auto and that the headset has the correct time.
If you can access ingame computer make sure the Troops tab is set to Default

Next step: Clearing the Appdata.
